modern crop varieties display a degree of mismatch between their current distributions and the suitability of the local climate for their *** address this issue,we present Oryza CLImtools(https://***/CLImtools/oryza_v1.0/),thefirst resource for pan-genome prediction of climate-associated genetic variants in a crop *** CLImtools consists of interactive web-based databases that enable the user to(1)explore the local environments of traditional rice varieties(landraces)in South-East Asia and(2)investigate the environment by genome associations for 658 Indica and 283 Japonica rice landrace accessions collected from georeferenced local environments and included in the 3K Rice Ge-nomes *** demonstrate the value of these resources by identifying an interplay betweenflowering time and temperature in the local environment that is facilitated by adaptive natural variation in OsHD2 and disrupted by a natural variant in *** quantitative trait locus analysis has suggested the impor-tance of heterotrimeric G proteins in the control of agronomic ***,we analyzed the climate associations of natural variants in the different heterotrimeric G protein *** identified a coordi-nated role of G proteins in adaptation to the prevailing potential evapotranspiration gradient and revealed their regulation of key agronomic traits,including plant height and seed and panicle *** conclude by highlighting the prospect of targeting heterotrimeric G proteins to produce climate-resilient crops.

In the cloud environment,ensuring a high level of data security is in high *** planning storage optimization is part of the whole security process in the cloud *** enables data security by avoiding the risk of data loss and data *** development of data flow scheduling approaches in the cloud environment taking security parameters into account is *** our work,we propose a data scheduling model for the cloud *** is made up of three parts that together help dispatch user data flow to the appropriate *** first component is the Collector Agent whichmust periodically collect information on the state of the network *** second one is the monitoring agent which must then analyze,classify,and make a decision on the state of the link and finally transmit this information to the *** third one is the scheduler who must consider previous information to transfer user data,including fair distribution and reliable *** should be noted that each part of the proposedmodel requires the development of its *** this article,we are interested in the development of data transfer algorithms,including fairness distribution with the consideration of a stable link *** algorithms are based on the grouping of transmitted files and the iterative *** proposed algorithms showthe performances to obtain an approximate solution to the studied problem which is an NP-hard(Non-Polynomial solution)*** experimental results show that the best algorithm is the half-grouped minimum excluding(HmE),with a percentage of 91.3%,an average deviation of 0.042,and an execution time of 0.001 s.

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and associated dementia patient numbers continue to increase globally with associated economic costs to healthcare systems. Of note is the increase in numbers in lower and middle-income countries (LmICs) including Sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries, which already face challenges with their health budgets from communicable and non-communicable diseases. Ghana, an SSA country, faces the problem of healthcare budgetary difficulties and the additional impact of AD as a consequence of increasing population strata of old aged persons (OAPs) due to the demographic transition effect. This article uses examples of known patients’ illness courses to give a perspective on the lived experience of patients with dementia (PWD) in Ghana, living amongst a populace with a culture of stigmatization of PWD, and a relatively fragile public mental health system (PmHS) for those with mental illness, including AD. The lived experience of AD patients is characterised by stigmatisation, discrimination, non-inclusiveness, diminished dignity and human rights abuses in the face of their mental disability, and eventually death. This article is an advocacy article giving voice to the voiceless and all persons suffering from AD and other dementias in Ghana, whilst pleading for a call to action from healthcare professionals and responsible state agencies.

A discoid meniscus is a morphological abnormality wherein the meniscus loses its normal‘C’*** most patients are asymptomatic,patients might still present with symptoms such as locking,pain,swelling,or giving *** resonance imaging is usually needed for confirmation of *** on a constellation of factors,including clinical and radiological,different approaches are chosen for the management of discoid *** purpose of this review is to outline the treatment of discoid meniscus,starting from conservative approach,to the different surgical options for this *** Pubmed and Google Scholar databases were used for this *** discussing the treatment of discoid meniscus from 2018 to 2023 were *** there were 369 studies retrieved,and after removal of studies using the exclusion criteria,26 studies were included in this *** such as stability,presence of tear,and morphology can help with surgical *** approaches have been used to treat discoid meniscus,where the choice is tailored for each patient ***,factors that may positively impact patient outcomes include male sex,body mass indexmptom onsetmptomsmeniscectomy with or without repair;however,recently,there has been an increased emphasis on discoid-preserving techniques such as meniscoplasty,meniscopexy,and meniscal allograft transplantation.

Steroidal glycoalkaloids(SGAs)are specialized metabolites produced by hundreds of Solanum species,including important vegetable crops such as tomato,potato,and *** it has been known that SGAs play important roles in defense in plants and“anti-nutritional"effects(e.g.,toxicity and bitterness)to humans,many of these molecules have documented anti-cancer,anti-microbial,antiinflammatory,anti-viral,and anti-pyretic *** these,α-solasonine andα-solamargine isolated from black nightshade(Solanum nigrum)are reported to have potent anti-tumor,anti-proliferative,and anti-inflammatory ***,α-solasonine andα-solamargine,along with the core steroidal aglycone solasodine,are the most widespread SGAs produced among the Solanum ***,it is still unknown how plants synthesize these bioactive steroidal *** comparative metabolomictranscriptome-guided approach,biosynthetic logic,combinatorial expression in Nicotiana benthamiana,and functional recombinant enzyme assays,here we report the discovery of 12 enzymes from *** that converts the starting cholesterol precursorto solasodine aglycone,and the downstreamα-solasonine,α-solamargine,and malonyl-solamargine SGA *** further identified six enzymes from cultivated eggplant that catalyze the production ofα-solasonine,α-solamargine,and malonyl-solamargine SGAs from solasodine aglycone via glycosylation and atypical malonylation *** work provides the gene tool box and platform for engineering the production of high-value,steroidal bioactive molecules inheterologoushosts usingsyntheticbiology.

This project reports on the use of a novel nanomembrane filtering technology to isolate and analyze the bioactivity of microplastic(mP)-containing debris from Lake Ontario water *** mPs are a complex mixture of polymers and sorbed chemicals that are persistent and can exhibit a wide range of toxic *** human exposure to mPs is unavoidable,it is necessary to characterize their bioactivity to assess potential health *** work seeks to quantify mP presence in the nearshore waters of Lake Ontario and begin to characterize the bioactivity of the filtrate containing *** utilized silicon nitride(SiN)nanomembrane technology to isolate debris sized between 8 and 20μm from lake water samples collected at various times and *** were identified with Nile red ***-based assays were conducted directly on the filtered debris to test for cell viability,aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)activity,and interleukin 6(IL-6)levels as a measure of proinflammatory *** samples contained *** of the isolated debris impacted cell ***,AhR activity and IL-6 levels varied over ***,no associations were observed between the amount of plastic and *** differences in activity are likely due to variations in the physiochemical properties of debris between *** results highlight the need for increased sampling to fully characterize the bioactivity of mPs in human cells and to elucidate the role that sample physiochemical and spatiotemporal properties play in this activity.

Objective Exercise is medicine(EIm)is a global initiative encouraging healthcare providers to routinely assess and promote physical activity(PA)among *** objective of this study was to evaluate the feasibility,adoption,implementation and effectiveness of EIm from patient,clinician and healthcare staff perspectives using a combination of electronic health record(EHR),survey and interview *** This study used a combination of the Practical Robust Implementation and Sustainability model(PRISm)and the Learning Evaluation model to implement *** captured from the EHR,including Physical Activity Vital Sign(PAVS)scores,and data collected from qualitative surveys and interviews were used to evaluate the programme’s Reach,Effectiveness,Adoption,Implementation,maintenance(RE-AIm,which is embedded within PRISm)from provider,staff and patient *** Five primary care clinics within a large academic health *** A total of 24443 patients from all participating clinics had at least one PAVS score during the study period.A total of 17 clinicians completed surveys,and 4 clinicians,8 medical assistants and 9 patients completed *** Implementation fidelity metrics varied widely between components and across clinics but were generally consistent over time,indicating a high degree of programme *** was highest during the first 6 months of the COVID-19 pandemic when most visits were *** PAVS scores increased from 57.7(95%CI:56 to 59.4)to 95.2(95%CI:91.6 to 98.8)min per week at 6 months for patients not meeting PA guidelines at baseline and decreased from 253.84(95%CI:252 to 255.7)to 208.3(95%CI:204.2 to 212.4)min per week at 6 months for patients meeting PA guidelines at *** EIm implementation,clinician-estimated time spent discussing PA with patients increased for 35%of providers and stayed the same for 53%.Conclusion Overall,this study established EIm’s feasibility,adoption,implementation
