背景：扩张型心肌病（dilated cardiomyopathy，DCM）是儿童心肌病最常见的类型，也是小儿心脏移植最常见的原因。但是，目前尚不清楚儿童DCM的流行病学特点和临床过程。目的：详细描述儿童DCM的发病率、病因、预后及相关危险因素。设计及地点：本项以人群为基础的前瞻性纵向队列研究入选1996年1月至2003年2月在89个儿科心脏中心诊断为DCM的儿童以及1990年1月至1995年12月在北美大型三级治疗中心诊断的患儿。参试者：共入选1426例来自美国和加拿大的18岁以下DCM患儿。通过严格的超声心动图和／或病理学标准来诊断原发性DCM。因内分泌、免疫、药物中毒及其他原因患病者除外。主要观测指标：每年每10万儿童的发病率、死亡率和心脏移植率。结果：18岁以下儿童DCM每年的总发病率为0．57／10万，男孩的年发病率高于女孩（分别为0．66／10万和0．47／10万；P〈0．001），黑人的年发病率高于白人（分别为0．98／10万和0．46／10万；P〈0．001），婴儿（〈1岁）的年发病率高于儿童（分别为4．40／10万和0．34／10万；P〈0．001）。绝大部分属特发性，最常见的病因为心肌炎（46％）和神经肌肉性疾病（26％）。1年和5年死亡／移植率分别为31％和46％。死亡／移植的独立危险因素包括患儿诊断DCM时年龄较大、伴有充血性心力衰竭、左室收缩期Z评分较低以及DCM的病因（P均〈0．001）。结论：儿童DCM有其多样性。患儿预后主要取决于病因、年龄和心力衰竭状况。人种、性别和年龄对发病率有一定影响。大部分患儿无明确病因，限制了特异性治疗。

Luminescence constitutes a unique source of.insight into hot carrier processes in metals,including those in plasmonic nanostructures used f.r sensing and energy ***,being weak in nature,metal luminescence remains poorly understood,its microscopic origin strongly debated,and its potential f.r unraveling nanoscale carrier dynamics largely ***,we reveal quantum-mechanical ef.ects in the luminescence emanating f.om thin monocrystalline gold ***,we present experimental evidence,supported by f.rst-principles simulations,to demonstrate its photoluminescence origin(i.e.,radiative emission f.om electron/hole recombination)when exciting in the interband *** model allows us to identif. changes to the measured gold luminescence due to quantum-mechanical ef.ects as the gold f.lm thickness is ***,such ef.ects are observable in the luminescence signal f.om f.akes up to 40 nm in thickness,associated with the out-of.plane discreteness of.the electronic band structure near the f.rmi *** qualitatively reproduce the observations with f.rst-principles modeling,thus establishing a unif.ed description of.luminescence in gold monocrystalline f.akes and enabling its widespread application as a probe of.carrier dynamics and light-matter interactions in this *** study paves the way f.r f.ture explorations of.hot carriers and charge-transf.r dynamics in a multitude of.material systems.

Dense genetic maps create a base f.r QTL analysis of.important traits and f.ture implementation of.marker-assisted *** tetraploid rose,the existing linkage maps includeers to cover 28 linkage groups(4 homologous sets of.7 chromosomes).Here we used the 68k WagRhSNP Axiom single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)array f.r rose,in combination with SNP dosage calling at the tetraploid level,to genotype of.spring f.om the garden rose cultivar‘Red New Dawn’.The of.spring proved to be not f.om a single bi-parental *** rose breeding,crosses with unintended parents occur *** developed a strategy to separate progeny into putative populations,even while one of.the parents was unknown,using principle component analysis on pairwise genetic distances based on sets of.selected SNP markers that were homozygous,and theref.re uninf.rmative f.r one *** of.the inf.rred populations was consistent with self.f.rtilization of.Red New Dawn’.Subsequently,linkage maps were generated f.r a bi-parental and a self.pollinated population with‘Red New Dawn’as the common maternal *** densest map,f.r the self.d parent,had 1929 SNP markers on 25 linkage groups,covering 1765.5 cM at an average marker distance of.0.9 *** with the strawberry(f.agaria vesca)genome was *** ICM1 corresponded to *** pseudochromosome 7(f.7),ICM4 to f.4,ICM5 to f.3,ICM6 to f.2 and ICM7 to *** ICM2 corresponded to parts of.*** pseudochromosomes 1 and 6,whereas ICM3 is syntenic to the remainder of.f.6.

A series of.novel catalysts was developed using cationic gemini surf.ctants intercalated in natural montmorillonite (MMT) clay. These gemini surf.ctant-MMT intercalates were used to study the kinetics of.a nucleophilic displacement reactions converting n-butyl bromide to n-butyl chloride in a triphase catalytic (TC) system. Most reaction rates compared f.vorably to those of.biphase catalytic reactions where gemini surf.ctants were used in the absence of.MMT. Catalytic activity varied with gemini surf.ctant structure, specif.cally with carbon spacer group and side chain length. In addition to the ease of.catalyst separation that a triphase system af.ords, gemini-MMT catalysts are stable and can be recycled and re-used several times.

AIM: To evaluate the potential association of.xeroderma pigmentosum group D (XPD) codon 751 variant with outcome af.er chemo-radiotherapy in patients with resected gastric cancer. meTHODS: We used PCR-Rf.P to evaluate the genetic XPD Lys751Gln polymorphisms in 44 patients with stage Ⅲ (48%) and Ⅳ (20%) gastric cancer treated with surgery f.llowing radiation therapy plus 5-f.uorouracil/ leucovorin based chemotherapy. ReSULTS: Statistical analysis showed that 75% (12 of.16) of.relapse patients showed Lys/Lys genotype more f.equently (P = 0.042). The Lys polymorphism was an independent predictor of.high-risk relapse-f.ee survival f.om cox analysis (HR: 3.07, 95% CI: 1.07-8.78, P = 0.036) and Kaplan-meir test (P = 0.027, log-rank test). CONCLUSION: XPD Lys751Gln polymorphism may be an important marker in the prediction of.clinical outcome to chemo-radiotherapy in resected gastric cancer patients.

This paper shows that the multiplicity of.the base point locus of.a projective rational surf.ce parametrization can be expressed as the degree of.the content of.a univariate *** a consequence,we get a new proof.of.the degree f.rmula relating the degree of.the surf.ce,the degree of.the parametrization,the base point multiplicity and the degree of.the rational map induced by the *** addition,we extend both f.rmulas to the case of.dominant rational maps of.the projective plane and describe how the base point loci of.a parametrization and its reparametrizations are *** an application of.these results,we explore how the degree of.a surf.ce reparametrization is af.ected by the presence of.base points.
