Embrionary way to create a fatty liver in portal hypertension

Portal hypertension in the rat by triple partial portal vein ligation produces an array of splanchnic and systemic disorders, including hepatic steatosis. In the current review these alterations are considered components of a systemic inflammatory response that would develop through three overlapping phenotypes: The neurogenic, the immune and the endocrine. These three inflammatory phenotypes could resemble the functions expressed during embryonic development of mammals. In turn, the inflammatory phenotypes would be represented in the embryo by two functional axes, that is, a coelomic-amniotic axis and a trophoblastic yolk-sac or vitelline axis. In this sense, the inflammatory response developed after triple partial portal vein ligation in the rat would integrate both functional embryonic axes on the liver interstitial space of Disse. If so, this fact would favor the successive development of steatosis, steatohepatitis and fibrosis. Firstly, these recapitulated embryonic functions would produce the evolution of liver steatosis. In this way, this fat liver could represent a yolk-sac-like in portal hypertensive rats. After that, the systemic recapitulation of these embryonic functions in experimental prehepatic portal hypertension would consequently induce a gastrulationlike response in which a hepatic wound healing reaction or fibrosis occur. In conclusion, studying the mechanisms involved in embryonic development could provide key results for a better understanding of the nonalcoholic fatty liver disease etiopathogeny.

Nanopharmaceuticals containing quantum dot nanoparticles (Q-Dot NPs) for treating serious cancers such as breast cancer have made fantastic proposals. In this study, ZnO quantum dot NPs are formulated via ZnO@PVP nanopolymer as co-assistants coordinating with efficacious suitable wetting agents, PEG-binding compound, and W/O emulsifier for producing eco-friendly water-based nanodrug. Several characterization techniques containing SEM, TEM, FTIR, photoluminescence, zeta potential, and UV-Vis absorption were employed for ZnO Q-Dot NPs in nanodrug. This work aims to investigate the anti-tumor effects of such nanomedicine on the 4T1 breast cancer cell line in BALB/c mice, being elaborated through intraperitoneal, injection (IVP) and oral therapy. The impressive findings showed that ZnO nanodrug caused changes in blood factors, having the most effectiveness at 40 μg/ml concentration after two weeks of oral treatments. The significant increase in white blood cells (WBC) neutrophils and meaningful decreases in lymphocytes and especially cholesterol were powerful simultaneous impacts, successfully treating malignant breast cancer masses. In this significant animal model research for breast cancer, the sick mice recovered entirely and even had a safe space to mate. Histopathological results showed no evidence of breast tumor formation or metastasis in the group treated with nanodrug and their children. This nanomedicine has a therapeutic effect, and is ready to be applied for treating volunteer breast cancer patients. However, its prevention (inhibitory) effect can also be analyzed and added to current data in future studies.

In this paper we describe the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for studies related to accretion flows in the strong field gravity regime around both stellar-mass and supermassive black-holes. eXTP has the unique capability of using advanced "spectral-timing-polarimetry" techniques to analyze the rapid variations with three orthogonal diagnostics of the flow and its geometry, yielding unprecedented insight into the inner accreting regions, the effects of strong field gravity on the material within them and the powerful outflows which are driven by the accretion process.

目的靶向前列腺特异性膜抗原（PSMA）的放射性显像剂在许多正常结构、解剖变异和非前列腺癌组织中有摄取。该研究探讨PSMA靶向显像剂18F-DCFPyL在外周神经节PET显像的摄取频次和程度。方法回顾性分析98例接受18F-DCFPyL PET/CT显像的患者,包括76例前列腺癌（PCa）男性患者和22名肾细胞癌（RCC）患者（男13例、女9例）。评估颈、星状、腹腔、腰、骶神经节的摄取。记录所有放射性摄取高于背景的神经节的摄取值,包括最大标准摄取值(SUVmax)和用瘦体质量校准的SULmax。计算SUVmax和SULmax除以升主动脉平均摄取(Aortamean)和右臀肌肉平均摄取(Gluteusmean),得到神经节/背景比值。结果 98例患者中有95例（96.9%）在至少1个外周神经节中有摄取。在PCa病例中,最常见的放射性聚集部位是腰交感神经节（55/76,72.4%）,其次是颈神经节（51/76,67.1%）。大多数患者是双侧摄取[腰椎44/55（80%）和颈椎30/51（58.8%）]。此外,星状神经节、腹腔神经节、骶神经节有明显放射性摄取者比例分别为65.8%（50/76）、59.2%（45/76）、6.6%（5/76）。RCC患者也有类似的发现,最常见的放射摄取部位是腰神经节（90.9%,20/22）和颈神经节（86.4%,19/22）。这2个部位的PSMA配体平均摄取量在PCa和RCC中均无差异。结论随着靶向PSMA显像剂的广泛应用,必须了解其在肿瘤不直接相关的组织结构中的摄取方式。该研究首次系统评价18F-DCFPyL在神经节中的摄取,结果显示其在腰椎、颈椎、星状神经节、腹腔神经节和骶神经节中的摄取频率呈下降趋势。然而,导致PSMA靶向放射性显像剂在外周神经节中摄取出现差异的生物学原因目前尚不清楚,需进一步研究。

今年的米兰设计周迎来了一个全新的展览——＂Structure＂,该展览由挪威的Klubben设计师联盟、全球知名涂料制造商Jotun公司以及挪威设计与建筑中心共同主办,展览于4月12日至17日首次亮相于米兰设计周Ventura Lambrate展区。此次展览展出了26位优秀的挪威设计师的作品,其中包括家具、灯具、陶瓷品、纺织品以及空间饰品等,旨在展示挪威的当代工艺设计,让观众了解挪威当代设计的创新理念与独到魅力。
