the Effect of EDTA Chelation therapy in Symptomatic Coronary Heart Disease: An Ob.ervational Study

Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid (EDTA) chelation therapy has b.en considered a definitive alternative therapy for b.-pass surgery in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease for more than four decades. It is a relatively inexpensive method b.lieved to restore b.ood flow in atherosclerotic vessels. However, the b.nefits of chelation therapy yet remain controversial in the treatment of ischemic heart disease. We ob.erved the effect of EDTA chelation therapy on exercise tolerance in 13 volunteering patients receiving conventional treatment for estab.ished symptomatic coronary heart disease. Each patient received 30 weekly infusions of EDTA followed b. monthly 12 b.osters according to the ACAM protocol (American College for Advancement in Medicine). this was in addition to the conventional therapies they received from their respective physician in hospital. Stress ECG, echocardiography and coronary angiogram findings were ob.ained at the b.ginning of treatment. the distance that a patient could walk on level ground at moderate speed and the numb.r of steps he/she can climb.up on a staircase until he/she b.gins to feel either chest pain or b.eathlessness were the two clinical parameters of exercise tolerance recorded to grade angina. Liver and renal functions were tested at 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th and 30th infusions. Of the 13 patients, 11 showed improvement in angina grading whilst 2 experienced no effect. One patient improved from angina grade IV to I, 6 from grade III to I, 1 from grade III to II and 3 from grade II to I. A statistically significant reduction in the mean score (p = 0.002) was noticed at 6th month of treatment when compared to that of the first month. A significant 1.7 fold increase (p = 0.009) in the mean SGPT level was ob.erved at the 30th infusion when compared to the pre-treatment values. the SGOT level showed no significant change (p = 0.664). Low-lying states in odd-Z odd-mass nuclei at the proton drip-line b.yond lead have recently b.en studied through fusion-evaporation reactions using a gas-filled recoil separator. Isomeric 1/2+and13/2+states have b.en ob.erved in odd-mass astatine and francium nuclei. the systematic b.haviour of the level energies of these states have b.en studied and a similarity b.tween the 1/2+state in astatine and francium has b.en found. Furthermore, the 13/2+state has b.en ob.erved in the francium nuclei with an ob.ate b.haviour suggesting a coupling of the i13/2proton to the 2p- 2h intruder excitation.

＜正＞ the recent implementation of legal b.lingualism necessitates the development of a Chinese Computer-Aided Transcription （CAT） system to product Chinese court proceedings conducted in Cantonese. the transcription system converts transcription shorthand codes into Chinese text, i.e., from phonetic to textual representation of the language. Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese have many homophonous characters. the main challenge lies in the resolution of the severe amb.guity of the conversion. N-gram statistical model is incorporated to estimate the most prob.b.e character string during conversion. Domain- specific corpora have b.en compiled to support the statistical computation. With additional enhancement features, the CAT system delivers a transcription accuracy of 96%. An intelligent error detection tool is b.ilt into the system to facilitate the manual correction of the remaining errors. Using decision tree algorithm and a range of text and linguistic attrib.tes, the system can effectively alert the users to possib.e errors.

Numerous new taxa and classifications of Dothideomycetes have b.en pub.ished following the last monograph of families of Dothideomycetes in 2013.A recent pub.ication b. Honsanan et *** 2020 expanded information of families in Dothideo-mycetidae and Pleosporomycetidae with modern *** this paper,we provide a refined updated document on orders and families incertae sedis of *** family is provided with an updated description,notes,including figures to represent the morphology,a list of accepted genera,and economic and ecological *** also provide phylogenetic trees for each *** this study,31 orders which consist 50 families are assigned as orders incertae sedis in Dothideomycetes,and 41 families are treated as families incertae sedis due to lack of molecular or morphological *** new order,Catinellales,and four new families,Catinellaceae,Morenoinaceae Neob.elliellaceae and thyrinulaceae are *** genera(Neob.elliella,Pseudomicrothyrium,Flagellostrigula,Swinscowia,Macroconstrictolumina,Pseudob.goriella,and Schummia)are *** new species(Acrospermum urticae,b.goriella complexoluminata,Dothiorella ostryae,Dyfrolomyces distoseptatus,Macroconstrictolumina megalateralis,Patellaria microspora,and Pseu-domicrothyrium thailandicum)are introduced b.se on morphology and phylogeny,together with two new records/reports and five new collections from different *** new comb.nations are also provided in this paper.

this is a continuity of a series of taxonomic papers where materials are examined,describ.d and novel comb.nations are proposed where necessary to improve our traditional species concepts and provide updates on their *** addition to extensive morphological descriptions and appropriate asexual and sexual connections,DNA sequence data are also analysed from concatenated datasets(rDNA,TEF-a,Rb.2 and b.Tub.lin)to infer phylogenetic relationships and sub.tantiate systematic position of taxa within appropriate *** new species or comb.nations are b.ing proposed,we apply an integrative approach(morphological and molecular data as well as ecological features wherever applicab.e).Notes on 125 fungal taxa are compiled in this paper,including eight new genera,101 new species,two new comb.nations,one neotype,four reference specimens,new host or distrib.tion records for eight species and one alternative *** new genera introduced in this paper are Alloarthopyrenia,Arundellina,Camarosporioides,Neomassaria,Neomassarina,Neotruncatella,Paracapsulospora and *** new species are Alfaria spartii,Alloarthopyrenia italica,Anthostomella ravenna,***,Arthrinium paraphaeospermum,Arundellina typhae,Aspergillus koreanus,Asterina cynometrae,b.rtiella ellipsoidea,b.astophorum aquaticum,Cainia glob.sa,Camarosporioides phragmitis,Ceramothyrium menglunense,Chaetosphaeronema achilleae,Chlamydotub.ufia helicospora,Ciliochorella phanericola,Clavulinopsis aurantiaca,Colletotrichum insertae,Comoclathris italica,Coronophora myricoides,Cortinarius fulvescentoideus,***,***,***,Cunninghamella gigacellularis,Cyathus pyristriatus,Cytospora cotini,Dematiopleospora alliariae,***,Diaporthe aseana,***,Distoseptispora multiseptata,***,***,Dothiora b.xi,Emericellopsis persica,Gloniopsis calami,Helicoma guttulatum,Helvella floriforma,***,Hermatomyces sub.culosa,Ju
