Porous flower-like Sno_(2)/CdSno_(3) microstructures self-assembled by uniform nanosheets were synthesized using a hydrothermal process followed by calcination,and the sensing performance was measured when a gas sensor,based on such microstructures,was exposed to various volatile organic compound(VoC)*** response value was found to reach as high as 100.1 when the Sno_(2)/CdSno_(3) sensor was used to detect 100 ppm formaldehyde gas,much larger than those of other tested VoC gases,indicating the high gas sensitivity possessed by this sensor especially in the detection of formaldehyde ***,the response/recovery process was fast with the response time and recovery time of only 13 and 21 s,*** excellent gas sensing performance derive from the advantages of Sno_(2)/CdSno_(3),such as abundant n-n heterojunctions built at the interface,high available specific surface area,abundant porosity,large pore size,and rich reactive oxygen species,as well as joint effects arising from Sno_(2) and CdSno_(3),suggesting that such porous flower-like Sno_(2)/CdSno_(3) microstructures composed of nanosheets have a high potential for developing gas sensors.

The low electrical conductivity of sulfur,strong volume expansion,shuttle effect,and sluggish redox reactions in Li-S batteries limit their practical *** nanoparticles encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes(MoP/NC NTs)were synthesized using Moo_(3) nanorods as templates via a polypyrrole coating,heat-carbonization,Moo_(3) partial reduction,ammonia washing,and *** MoP/NC NTs had a hollow nanostructure with a high specific surface area,which can alleviate the volume expansion of the cathode and the shuttle effect of *** encapsulated MoP nanoparticles can anchor the polysulfides and enhance the redox reaction ***,the MoP/NC NTs combined with sulfur(MoP/S/NC NTs)exhibited 440.8 mAh·g^(-1) over 500 cycles at 1.0 A·g^(-1) with a decay rate of 0.06%per *** density functional theory calculations and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results confirmed that MoP/NC NTs could anchor polysulfides and alleviate the shuttle effect by chemical *** study supplies a novel route to prepare nanoparticle-embedded in N-doped carbon nanotubes for advanced Li-S battery.

There are still many challenges including low conductivity of cathodes,shuttle effect of polysulfides,and significant volume change of sulfur during cycling to be solved before practical applications of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)*** this work,(Feo)_(2)FeBo_(3) nanoparticles(NPs)anchored on interconnected nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheets(NcNs)were synthesized,serving as sulfur carriers for Li-S batteries to solve such *** have the cross-linked network structure,which possess good electrical conductivity,large specific surface area,and abundant micropores and mesopores,enabling the cathode to be well infiltrated and permeated by the electrolyte,ensuring the rapid electron/ion transfer,and alleviating the volume expansion during the electrochemical *** addition,polar(Feo)_(2)FeBo_(3) can enhance the adsorption of polysulfides,effectively alleviating the polysulfide shuttle *** a current density of 1.0 A·g^(-1),the initial discharging and charging specific capacities of the(Feo)_(2)FeBo_(3)@NCNs-2/S electrode were obtained to be 1113.2 and 1098.3mA·h·g^(-1),*** 1000 cycles,its capacity maintained at 436.8 mA·h·g^(-1),displaying a decay rate of 0.08%per ***,combining NCNs with(Feo)_(2)FeBo_(3) NPs is conducive to the performance improvement of Li-S batteries.

The layered δ-Mno2（dMo） is an excellent cathode material for rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries owing to its large interlayer distance （～0.7 nm）,high capacity,and low cost; however,such cathodes suffer from structural degradation during the long-term cycling process,leading to capacity *** this study,a Co-doped dMo composite with reduced graphene oxide（CC-dMo） is developed using a simple cost-effective hydrothermal *** degree of disorderness increases owing to the hetero-atom doping and graphene oxide *** is demonstrated that layered dMo and CC-dMo undergo a structural transition from K-birnessite to the Zn-buserite phase upon the first discharge,which enhances the intercalation of Zn2+ions,H2o molecules in the layered *** CC-dMo cathode exhibits an excellent capacity of 302mAhg-1at a current density of 100mAg-1after100 cycles as compared with the dMo cathode (159mAhg-1).The excellent electrochemical performance of the CC-dMo cathode owing to Co-doping and graphene oxide sheets enhances the interlayer gap and disorderness,and maintains structural stability,which facilitates the easy reverse intercalation and de-intercalation of Zn2+ions and H2o ***,CC-dMo is a promising cathode material for large-scale aqueous ZIBs.

Glycosylation is a process that involves the addition of sugar moieties or glycans to different types of molecules,including proteins,lipids,and nucleic *** these,protein glycosylation is one of the most prevalent forms of post-translational modification,playing a crucial role in biological *** more than ten monosaccharides identified within mammalian brain cells and more than 1×1012 possible combinations,the heterogeneity of glycosylation is extensive(Conroy et al.,2021).The diversity of glycans and the complexity of their structures allow for a wide range of protein functions.N-glycans are one of the most abundant forms of glycans and are involved in various cellular functions.N-glycans can be added to proteins at specific sequons,Asn-X-Ser/Thr,and are classified into three main types in mature glycoproteins:high mannose,complex,and *** mannose N-glycans consist of 5-9 mannose residues linked to a chitobiose core and undergo processing into complex or hybrid forms in the Golgi apparatus(Varki et al.,2017).Complex N-glycans are more diverse and contain various branched structures such as antennae with fucose,galactose,and sialic acid *** N-glycans contain one or more complex branches in conjunction with an oligomannose branch(Fisher and Ungar,2016).Understanding the specific functions of these different types of N-glycans in protein regulation,folding,and function is an active area of research in the life sciences,including glycobiology.

In combination with theoretical calculations,experiments were conducted to investigate the evolution behavior of nonmetallic inclusions(NMIs)during the manufacture of large-scale heat-resistant steel ingots using 9CrMoCoB heat-resistant steel and CaF_(2)–Cao–Al_(2)o_(3)–Sio_(2)–B_(2)o_(3)electroslag remelting(ESR)-type slag in an 80-t industrial ESR *** main types of NMI in the consumable electrode comprised pure alumina,a multiphase oxide consisting of an Al_(2)o_(3)core and liquid Cao–Al_(2)o_(3)–Sio_(2)–Mno shell,and M_(23)C_(6)carbides with an MnS *** Al_(2)o_(3)and MnS inclusions had higher precipitation temperatures than the M_(23)C_(6)-type carbide under equilibrium and nonequilibrium solidification ***,inclusions can act as nucleation sites for carbide layer *** ESR process completely removed the liquid Cao–Al_(2)o_(3)–Sio_(2)–Mno oxide and MnS inclusion with a carbide shell,and only the Al_(2)o_(3)inclusions and Al_(2)o_(3)core with a carbide shell occupied the remelted *** M_(23)C_(6)-type carbides in steel were determined as Cr_(23)C_(6)based on the analysis of transmission electron microscopy *** substitution of Cr with w,Fe,or/and Mo in the Cr_(23)C_(6)lattice caused slight changes in the lattice parameter of the Cr_(23)C_(6)***,Cr_(21.34)Fe_(1.66)C_(6),(Cr_(19)w_(4)C_(6),Cr_(18.4)Mo_(4.6)C_(6),and Cr_(16)Fe_(5)Mo_(2)C_(6)can match the fraction pattern of Cr_(23)C_(6)*** Al_(2)o_(3)inclusions in the remelted ingot formed due to the reduction of Cao,Sio_(2),and Mno components in the liquid *** increased Al content in liquid steel or the higher supersaturation degree of Al_(2)o_(3)precipitation in the remelted ingot than that in the electrode can be attributed to the evaporation of CaF_(2)and the increase in Cao content in the ESR-type slag.

Specific grades of high-entropy alloys(HEAs)can provide opportunities for optimizing properties toward high-temperature *** this work,the Co-based HEA with a chemical composition of Co_(47.5)Cr_(30)Fe_(7.5)Mn_(7.5)Ni_(7.5)(at%)was *** refractory metallic elements hafnium(Hf)and molybdenum(Mo)were added in small amounts(1.5at%)because of their well-known positive effects on high-temperature *** characteristics were comprehensively explored by using a two-dimensional cross-sectional method and extracted by using a three-dimensional electrolytic extraction *** results revealed that the addition of Hf can reduce Al_(2)o_(3)inclusions and lead to the formation of more stable Hf-rich inclusions as the main *** addition cannot influence the inclusion type but could influence the inclusion characteristics by affecting the physical parameters of the HEA *** calculated coagulation coefficient and collision rate of Al_(2)o_(3)inclusions were higher than those of Hfo_(2)inclusions,but the inclusion amount played a larger role in the agglomeration behavior of Hfo_(2)and Al_(2)o_(3)*** impurity level and active elements in HEAs were the crucial factors affecting inclusion formation.

Mixed-dimensional composite structures using zero-dimensional(0D)quantum dots(QDs)and two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)materials are expected to attract great interest in optoelectronics due to the potential to generate new.optical ***,we report on the unique optical characteristics of a devices with mixed dimensional vertically stacked structures based on tungsten diselenide(wSe_(2))/CdSeS QDs monolayer/molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))(2D/0D/2D).Specifically,it exhibits an ambipolar photoresponse characteristic,with a negative photoresponse observed in the 400-600 nm wavelength range and a positive photoresponse appeared at 700 nm *** resulted in the high negative responsivity of up to 52.22 mA·w^(−1)under 400 nm,which is 163 times higher than that of the photodetector without CdSeS *** also demonstrated the negative photoresponse,which could be due to increased carrier collision probability and non-radiative *** modeling and simulation reveal that Auger recombination among the types of non-radiative recombination is the main cause of negative photocurrent ***,we discovered ambipolar photoresponse near a specific wavelength corresponding to the energy of quantum *** study revealed interesting phenomenon in the mixed low-dimensional stacked structure and paved the way to exploit it for the development of innovative photodetection materials as well as for optoelectronic applications.
