Elucidation of a reaction mechanism is the most critical aspect for designing electrodes for highperformance secondary ***,we investigate the sodium insertion/extraction into an iron fluoride hydrate(FeF_(3)·0.5H_(2)O)electrode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).The electrode material is prepared by employing an ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium-tetrafluoroborate,which serves as a reaction medium and precursor for F^(-)*** crystal structure of FeF_(3)·0.5H_(2)O is observed as pyrochlore type with large open 3-D tunnels and a unit cell volume of 1129A^(3).The morphology of FeF_(3)·0.5H_(2)O is spherical shape with a mesoporous *** microstructure analysis reveals primary particle size of around 10 *** FeF_(3)·0.5H_(2)O cathode exhibits stable discharge capacities of 158,210,and 284 mA h g^(-1) in three different potential ranges of 1.5-4.5,1.2-4.5,and 1.0-4.5 V,respectively at 0.05 C *** specific capacities remained stable in over 50 cycles in all three potential ranges,while the rate capability was best in the potential range of 1.5-4.5 *** electrochemical sodium storage mechanism is studied using X-ray absorption spectroscopy,indicating higher conversion at a more discharged ***-situ M?ssbauer spectroscopy strengthens the results for reversible reduction/oxidation of *** results will be favorable to establish high-performance cathode materials with selective voltage window for SIBs.

Effects of Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation products on performance and rumen fermentation and microbiota in dairy cows fed a diet containing low quality forage

Background： A possible option to meet the increased demand of forage for dairy industry is to use the agricultural byproducts, such as corn stover. However, nutritional value of crop residues is low and we have been seeking technologies to improve the value. A feeding trial was performed to evaluate the effects of four levels of Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation product（SCFP; Original XP; Diamond V） on lactation performance and rumen fermentation in mid-lactation Holstein dairy cows fed a diet containing low-quality forage. Eighty dairy cows were randomly assigned into one of four treatments： basal diet supplemented with 0, 60, 120, or 180 g/d of SCFP per head mixed with 180, 120, 60, or 0 g of corn meal, respectively. The experiment lasted for 10 wks, with the first 2 weeks for ***： Dry matter intake was found to be similar（P 〉 0.05） among the treatments. There was an increasing trend in milk production（linear, P ≤ 0.10） with the increasing level of SCFP supplementation, with no effects on contents of milk components（P 〉 0.05）. Supplementation of SCFP linearly increased（P 〈 0.05） the N conversion, without affecting rumen pH and ammonia-N（P 〉 0.05）. Increasing level of SCFP linearly increased（P 〈 0.05） concentrations of ruminal total volatile fatty acids, acetate, propionate, and butyrate, with no difference in molar proportion of individual acids（P 〉 0.05）. The population of fungi and certain cel ulolytic bacteria（Ruminococcus albus, R. flavefaciens and Fibrobacter succinogenes）increased linearly（P 〈 0.05） but those of lactate-utilizing（Selenomonas ruminantium and Megasphaera elsdeni） and lactate-producing bacteria（Streptococcus bovis） decreased linearly（P ≤ 0.01） with increasing level of SCFP. Distant skeletal muscle metastasis from intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma presenting as Budd-Chiari syndrome

Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma is a malignant neoplasm arising from the biliary epithelium, which frequently invades adjacent organs or metastasizes to other visceral organs such as the lungs, bones, adrenals, and brain. However, distant skeletal muscle metastasis of cholangiocarcinoma has never been described before to the best of our knowledge and, furthermore, Budd-Chiari syndrome secondary to intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma is also extremely rare. Here we present the first case overall of distant muscle metastasis from intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma presenting as Budd-Chiari syndrome. A 44-year-old man admitted to the hospital with complaints of abdominal distension, edema of both legs, back pain and anorexia of 30 d' duration. Computed tomography and ultrasonography-guided percutaneous muscle biopsy established intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma with disseminated thrombosis from inferior vena cava to bilateral iliac and femoral veins, and multiple skeletal muscle metastases in bilateral buttock and erector spinal muscle.

Combined silicosis and mixed dust pneumoconiosis with rapid progression: A case report and literature review

BACKGROUND Rapidly progressive pneumoconiosis(RPP) occasionally occurs in coal workers, particularly those with high exposure to silica. Here, we report the case of a 64-year-old male miller with RPP. CASE SUMMARY The patient had a persistent cough for one month and had been clinically diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis in 2011. He worked in a stone processing factory from the ages of 20 through 37 and has owned his own mill for the past 25 years. His chest radiograph showed significant increases in the size and number of lung nodules since his last follow-up in 2013. By percutaneous needle lung biopsy, the nodular lesions showed diffuse infiltration of phagocytic macrophages and birefringent crystals by polarizing microscopy. He was finally diagnosed with RPP of mixed dust pneumoconiosis combined with silicosis. CONCLUSION In this case, mixed dust pneumoconiosis with silicosis might be accelerated by persistent exposure to graindust from working in a mill environment.

In situ synthesis of chemically bonded NaTi2（PO4）3/rGO 2D nanocomposite for high-rate sodium-ion batteries

A phase-pure NaTi2（PO4）3/reduced graphene oxide （rGO） nanocomposite was prepared using a microwave-assisted one-pot method and subsequent heat treatment. The well-crystallized NaTi2（PO4）3 nanoparticles （30-40 nm） were uniformly precipitated on rGO templates through Ti-O-C bonds. The chemical interactions between the NaTi2（PO4）3 nanoparticles and rGO could immobilize the NaTi2（PO4）3 nanoparticles on the rGO sheets, which might be responsible for the excellent electrochemical performance of the nanocomposite. The NaTi2（PO4）B/rGO nanocomposite exhibited a specific capacity of 128.6 mA-h.g-1 approaching the theoretical value at a 0.1 C-rate with an excellent rate capability （72.9% capacity retention at 50 C-rate） and cycling performance （only 4.5% capacity loss after 1,000 cycles at a high rate of 10 C）. These properties were maintained even when the electrodes were prepared without the use of an additional conducting agent. The excellent sodium storage properties of the NaTi2（PO4）B/rGO nanocomposite could be attributed to the nano-sized NaTi2（PO4）3 particles, which significantly reduced the transport lengths for Na＋ ions, and an intimate contact between the NaTi2（PO4）3 particles and rGO due to chemical bonding.

Comparison of postoperative corneal changes between dry eye and non-dry eye in a murine cataract surgery model

AIM： To compare the effects of the surgical insult of cataract surgery on corneal inflammatory infiltration, neovascularization （NV） and lymphangiogenesis （LY） between the dry eye and non-dry eye in murine cataract surgery models.METHODS： We established two groups of animals, one with normal eyes （non-dry eye） and the second with induced dry eyes. In both groups, we used surgical insults to mimic human cataract surgery, which consisted of lens extraction, corneal incision and suture. After harvesting of corneas on the 9th postoperative day and immunohistochemical staining, we compared NV, LY and CD11b＋ cell infiltration in the corneas.RESULTS： Dry eye group had significantly more inflammatory infiltration （21.75%±7.17% r/s 3.65%±1.49%; P=0.049）. The dry eye group showed significantly more NV （48.21% ±4.02% ys 26.24% ±6.01% ; P =0.016） and greater levels of LY （9.27%±0.48% ys 4.84%±1.15%; P= 0.007）. In corneas on which no surgery was performed, there was no induction of NV in both the dry and non- dry group, but dry eye group demonstrated more CD11b＋ cells infiltration than the non-dry eye group （0.360%± 0.160% vs 0.023%±0.006%; P=0.068）. Dry eye group showed more NV than non-dry eye group in both topical PBS application and subconjunctival PBS injection （P= 0.020 and 0.000, respectively）.
