Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(mHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDSolve in mATHEmATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

Species diversity of birds in mangroves of kundapura, Udupi District, karnataka, Southwest Coast of India

We quantified species diversity of birds in mangroves at kundapura from April-2010 to march-2013. We recorded 79 species of 36 families and 14 orders. Of these 71% are resident species, 22% are residential migrants and 8% are migratory. One endangered species, three near threatened species, and a few occasional visitors were re-corded. Species diversity and abundance of birds were greater during from October through may as there was availability of food, increased vegetation and the arrival of migratory birds. minimum diversity was recorded from June through September owing to heavy rains, increased flow of water, limited availability of food and return of migratory birds.

Biological roles of astrocyte elevated gene-1(AEG-1):AEG-1,also known as metadherin,was originally identified as a human immunodeficiency virus-1-and tumor necrosis factor-alpha-inducible gene in human fetal *** increase in AEG-1 expression is a well-established and important oncogenic event in various types of human cancer,and its upregulation triggers evasion of cellular apoptosis,metastasis,and invasion in cancer(Emdad at al.,2016;Dhiman et al.,2019).AEG-1 can promote tumor progression via multiple phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3k)/protein kinase B(Akt)pathways,contributing to an invasive phenotype and angiogenesis(Emdad at al.,2016;Dhiman et al.,2019).In addition,there is evidence for a functional link between AEG-1 and pro-survival mechanisms in various cancers(Dhiman et al.,2019),suggesting that AEG-1 is a key molecule for oncogenic events in cancer.

Sublethal Effects of the Formamidine Amitraz on Honeybees Gut Lipids, Following in vivo Injections

The time-course and dose-related action of amitraz (AmZ) on gut lipids of worker honeybees were examined over 3 hours following in vivo injections of 0.25, 0.5, 1 and 2 nmols of pesticide per bee. Significant decreases were observed at 30-45 min with 0.25 nmols per bee, for phospholipids, fatty acids, steroids and triacylglycerols. However increases were observed either later or with higher doses. The decreasing action observed with 0.25 nmol AmZ per bee was inhibited by simultaneous injections of the a antagonist phentolamine (from 0.25 to 2.0 nmols per bee). The toxicity of AmZ to honeybees thus likely involves the mobilization of lipids from the gut, via action of this formamidine pesticide on a-adrenoceptors.

A simple synthesis of medicinally important cis-2-methyl-4-azapan-2-one-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines/cis-9- （2-methyl-l,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-4-yl）-9H-carbazole was reported. multicomponent one pot synthesis with ani- lines and N-vinylcaprolactam/N-vinyl carbazole via imino Diels-Alder reaction by using antimony trichloride as catalyst and acetonitrile as solvent was employed. NmR technique （2D） was used to study the regio- and stereo- chemistry of newly synthesized compounds. The cis diastereo-selectivity of the products was predicted by COSY and NOESY studies.

Analysis of bulked segregants to identify molecular markers linked with cocoon weight and cocoon shell weight in the silkworm Bombyx mori L

Two silkworm strains viz, B20 A (high cocoon shell ratio) and *** (low cocoon shell ratio) were sib mated for 10 generations to determine the homozygosis. Both bulked segregant analysis(BSA) and near isogenic lines (NIL) studies were done to identify the RFLP markers closely linked to cocoon shell parameters. Three hundred and fifty two random clones were identified as the low copy number sequence and used for identification of Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphic (RFLP) marker linked to cocoon weight and cocoon shell character. In the bulk segregant analysis, DNA from the parents (B20 A, ***), F 1 and F 2 progeny of high shell ratio (HSR) and low shell ratio (LSR) were screened for hybridization with the random clones. Polymorphic banding pattern achieved through southern hybridization with different probes indicated the probable correlation of polymorphism with high and low cocoon shell character which are possible landmarks in identifying the putative marker(s) for the cocoon shell character. Out of the 100 probes tried with parents, F 1, F 2 and their bulks, 10 probes were found to be closely linked to cocoon shell characters.

A comparison of desensitization methods: Rituximab with/without plasmapheresis in ABO-incompatible living donor liver transplantation

Background: Plasmapheresis is a desensitization method used prior to ABO-incompatible(ABO-I) living donor liver transplantation. However, studies on its usefulness in the rituximab era are ***: Fifty-six adult patients underwent ABO-I living donor liver transplantation between January2012 and October 2015. A single dose of rituximab(300 mg/m~2) was administered 2 weeks before surgery with plasmapheresis in all patients until February 2014(RP group, n = 26). Patients were administered rituximab only, without plasmapheresis between march 2014 and October 2015(RO group, n = 30).Results: The 6-, 12-and 18-month overall survival rates were 92.3%, 80.8% and 76.9% in the RP group and 96.6%, 85.4% and 85.4% in the RO group, respectively(P = 0.574). When the initial isoagglutinin titers more prominent in the RP group. There was no difference in time-dependent changes in B cell subpopulations and ABO-I-related ***: Sufficient desensitization for ABO-I living donor liver transplantation can be achieved using rituximab alone. This desensitization strategy does not affect the isoagglutinin titers, ABO-I-related complications and patient survival.

The injection to emerging adult workerbees with fluvalinate doses ranging from 1 femtomol to 1 nanomol per individual resulted in a reduction of haemolymph carbohydrate concentrations, particularly at the lowest dose 1 hour after injections. At the same time, a large increase was observed for triacylglycerols and to a much lesser extent for steroids and phospholipids with 0.1 picomol per bee. By contrast, fatty acids, steroids and triacylglycerols exhibited a depress at the higher dose. most responses were thus biphasic, showing that much attention should be paid to the effects of very low doses of pesticide.

Delayed state variable filters are implemented for the estimation of monotone open-loop processes which can be approximated by a dominant time delay coupled with a first order *** on the delayed filtered step output response,the first and second order derivatives,the corresponding static process gain,the apparent dead time and the apparent time constant are evaluated.A new PID tuning formula is formed which based on the placement of the open loop zeros related to the apparent time constant and time *** with the root locus design procedure,the algorithm provides a range of PID settings for different damping *** are included to illustrate the concepts.
