Background The benefits of exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation(EBCR)programs in post-acute myocardial infarction(AMI)patients have been *** aim was to assess the impact of EBCR in³70-years-old *** post-AMI *** We retrospectively evaluated patients who underwent a supervised EBCR protocol,twice a week during 6-12 *** evaluated changes in several outcomes based on pre-and post-CRP *** Of a total of 1607 patients,333(21%)were³*** the EBCR,an overall improvement on functional capacity,daily physical activity,lipid profile,body mass index,glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-pro-BNP)and C-reactive protein was observed in both younger and older patients(P<0.05).Older patients showed a smaller benefit on the increment of daily physical activity and lipid profile improvement,but a larger reduction in *** the multivariate analysis,only improvements on daily physical activity and HbA1c were dependent on *** As their younger counterparts,older patients,significantly improved functional capacity,metabolic parameters and level of daily physical activity after EBCR.

Background： Biomass regression equations are claimed to yield the most accurate biomass estimates than biomass expansion factors （BEFs）. Yet, national and regional biomass estimates are generally calculated based on BEFs, especially when using national forest inventory data. Comparison of regression equations based and BEF-based biomass estimates are scarce. Thus, this study was intended to compare these two commonly used methods for estimating tree and forest biomass with regard to errors and biases. Methods： The data were collected in 2012 and 2014. In 2012, a two-phase sampling design was used to fit tree component biomass regression models and determine tree BEFs. In 2014, additional trees were felled outside sampling plots to estimate the biases associated with regression equation based and BEF-based biomass estimates; those estimates were then compared in terms of the following sources of error： plot selection and variability, biomass model, model parameter estimates, and residual variability around model prediction. Results： The regression equation based below-, aboveground and whole tree biomass stocks were, approximately, 7.7, 8.5 and 8.3 % larger than the BEF-based ones. For the whole tree biomass stock, the percentage of the total error attributed to first phase （random plot selection and variability） was 90 and 88 % for regression- and BEF-based estimates, respectively, being the remaining attributed to biomass models （regression and BEF models, respectively）. The percent bias of regression equation based and BEF-based biomass estimates for the whole tree biomass stock were -2.7 and 5.4 %, respectively. The errors due to model parameter estimates, those due to residual variability around model prediction, and the percentage of the total error attributed to biomass model were larger for BEF models （than for regression models）, except for stem and stem wood components. The enteric nervous system(ENS)consists of thousands of small ganglia arranged in the submucosal and myenteric plexuses,which can be negatively affected by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis-inflammatory bowel diseases(IBDs).IBDs are complex and multifactorial disorders characterized by chronic and recurrent inflammation of the intestine,and the symptoms of IBDs may include abdominal pain,diarrhea,rectal bleeding,and weight *** P2X7 receptor has become a promising therapeutic target for IBDs,especially owing to its wide expression and,in the case of other purinergic receptors,in both human and model animal enteric ***,little is known about the actual involvement between the activation of the P2X7 receptor and the cascade of subsequent events and how all these activities associated with chemical signals interfere with the functionality of the affected or treated *** this review,an integrated view is provided,correlating the structural organization of the ENS and the effects of IBDs,focusing on cellular constituents and how therapeutic approaches through the P2X7 receptor can assist in both protection from damage and tissue preservation.

The natural aging process brings about some inevitable consequences, such as olfactory dysfunction, which is also frequently linked to numerous neurodegenerative disorders. Many age-related dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease, Vascular dementia, Parkinson's disease, and Frontotemporal Dementia often display olfactory dysfunction. Despite the overwhelming evidence of above mentioned facts, the symptomatic relevance and potential clinical and pre-clinical value of olfactory dysfunction remains overlooked by many clinicians and public alike. Olfactory dysfunction has strong practical implications on daily activities and, although not as prominent as in other mammals, olfaction is still an evolutionarily relevant sense involved in human survival(e.g., smelling gas; bad food). In this work, we provide a brief review of current research related to the olfactory dysfunction profiles in different types of dementia. Additionally, we present a compilation of accessible, easy to use olfaction assessment tools; and highlight future directions in terms of improving clinical diagnosis in patient care and research.

The Campos Gerais Domain(CGD)in southeastern Brazil is an approximately 180 km×35 km area of Archean–Proterozoic rocks located southwest of the São Francisco Craton(SFC).The Archean–Paleopro terozoic evolution of the CGD—alongside its potential correlation with the SFC or other cratonic blocks in the region-is currently *** present the results of systematic petrography,bulkrock geochemistry,mineral chemistry and geochronology for a suite of scarcely studied mafic–ultramafic rocks from the *** also provide a compilation of previously reported bulk-rock geochemical and spinel group mineral chemical data for mafic–ultramafic rocks throughout the CGD,and geochronological information for various lithotypes in the *** CGD records a protracted Mesoarchean to Statherian(3.1–1.7 Ga)crustal evolution,which we interpret to share a common history with the southern SFC and their related reworked segments,suggesting that it is a westward extension of this cratonic *** metavolcano-sedimentary rocks of the Fortaleza de Minas and Alpinópolis segments represent a Mesoarchean greenstone belt that is stratigraphically and chemically comparable to Archean greenstone belts worldwide,and that is broadly coeval with a local suite of tonalite-trondhjemite-grano diorite(TTG)gneisses and migmatites.U-Pb SHRIMP zircon data from a subalkaline metagabbro yielded a concordia age of ca.2.96 Ga,revealing a previously unrecognized phase of Archean magmatism in the CGD that can be chrono-correlated with metakomatiite and TTG generation elsewhere in the São Francisco *** data contradict a hypothesis whereby the metavolcano-sedimentary rocks of the Jacuí-Bom Jesus da Penha and Petúnia segments represent an ophiolite,as previously suggested,instead presenting features that point to formation in association with a continental *** with a U-Pb(SHRIMP)crystallization age of ca.2.13 Ga recorded by zircon grains from a metaultramafic rock,these data h
