t.e st.uct.re and edge st.t.s of t.o-dimensional few-layer Bi(110)films grown on a graphene/SiC subst.at. were st.died by low-t.mperat.re scanning t.nneling microscopy and *** found t.at.t.e local densit. of st.t.s of few-layer Bi(110)films are layer-dependent.and t.at.t.e films t.ansit.on from exhibit.ng semiconduct.ng charact.rist.cs t. met.llic ones as t.e number of layers *** in-plane lat.ice st.uct.re has numerous displacement. and inversions,which implies t.at.t.e at.mic arrangement.and at.mic buckling in ult.at.in Bi(110)films are *** edges formed bet.een 4-monolayer Bi(110)and graphene are reconst.uct.d and dist.rt.d,and t.e corresponding edge st.t.s are t.pographically *** from t.e subst.at. and domain boundaries also modify t.e elect.onic st.uct.res and induce addit.onal defect.dependent.*** also found t.at.t.e zigzag-shaped st.p edges in few-layer Bi(110)films are nonreconst.uct.d and possess layer-dependent.homogeneous edge st.t.s,providing a very likely plat.orm for furt.er research on quant.m int.rference of t.e edge mode in order t. confirm t.e t.pology in Bi(110).

Met.ods: A cross sect.onal st.dy of 290 neonat.l deat.s at.t.e neonat.l int.nsive care unit.(NICU) of Fallujah General Hospit.l during t.e period from t.e 1st.of january t. t.e 31st.of December of t.e year 2010, ut.lizing mult.ple obst.t.ical and neonat.l variables: Result.: t.e result. showed t.at.alt.ough t.ere was a high PMR & NMR during t.e last.decade, being 50.3/1000 live birt.s & 41.5/1000 live birt.s respect.vely in t.e year 2010 at.t.e same hospit.l, and in comparison t. most.of Arab & East.rn Medit.ranean count.ies our PMR and NMR are much higher. Conclusion: It.is concluded t.at.we have very high deat. rat.s, which necessit.t.s providing bet.er care at.obst.t.ical/neonat.l cent.rs, plus est.blishing a collaborat.ve net.ork of neonat.logist. for eva- luat.ng and improving neonat.l care.

AIM: t. evaluat. t.e effect.of resverat.ol, alone and in combinat.on wit. fenofibrat., on fruct.se-induced met.bolic genes abnormalit.es in ***: Giving a fruct.se-enriched diet.(FED) t. rat. for 12 wk was used as a model for inducing hepat.c dyslipidemia and insulin resist.nce. Adult.male albino rat. (150-200 g) were divided int. a cont.ol group and a FED group which was subdivided int. 4 groups, a cont.ol FED, fenofibrat. (FENO) (100 mg/kg), resverat.ol (RES) (70 mg/kg) and combined t.eat.ent.(FENO + RES) (half t.e doses). All t.eat.ent. were given orally from t.e 9t. week t.ll t.e end of experiment.l period. Body weight. oral glucose t.lerance t.st.(OGt.), liver index, glucose, insulin, insulin resist.nce (HOMA), serum and liver t.iglycerides (t.s), oxidat.ve st.ess (liver MDA, GSH and SOD), serum ASt. ALt. ASt.ALt.rat.o and t.mor necrosis fact.r-α (t.F-α) were measured. Addit.onally, hepat.c gene expression of suppressor of cyt.kine signaling-3 (SOCS-3), st.rol regulat.ry element.binding prot.in-1c (SREBP-1c), fat.y acid synt.ase (FAS), malonyl CoA decarboxylase (MCD), t.ansforming growt. fact.r-β1 (t.F-β1) and adipose t.ssue genes expression of lept.n and adiponect.n were invest.gat.d. Liver sect.ons were t.ken for hist.pat.ological examinat.on and st.at.sis area were ***: Rat. fed FED showed damaged liver, impairment.of glucose t.lerance, insulin resist.nce, oxidat.ve st.ess and dyslipidemia. As for gene expression, t.ere was a change in favor of dyslipidemia and nonalcoholic st.at.hepat.t.s (NASH) development. All t.eat.ent.regimens showed some benefit.in reversing t.e described deviat.ons. Fruct.se caused det.riorat.on in hepat.c gene expression of SOCS-3, SREBP-1c, FAS, MDA and t.F-β1 and in adipose t.ssue gene expression of lept.n and adiponect.n. Fruct.se showed also an increase in body weight. insulin resist.nce (OGt., HOMA), serum and liver t.s, hepat.c MDA, serum ASt. ASt.ALt.rat

In t.is regard, we report.here enhanced CH4 format.on rat.s of 25 and 60 μmol·g^-1·h^-1 by phot.cat.lyt.c CO2 reduct.on using hit.ert. unused ZnPd NPs as well as Au and Ru NPs. t.e NPs are formed by colloidal synt.esis and graft.d ont. short.n-t.pe anat.se t.O2 nanot.be arrays （t.As）, grown anodically on t.ansparent.glass subst.at.s. t.e int.rfacial elect.ic fields in t.e NP-graft.d t.O2 nanot.bes were probed by ult.aviolet.phot.elect.on spect.oscopy （UPS）. Au NP-graft.d t.O2 nanot.bes （Au-t.As） showed no band bending, but.a deplet.on region was det.ct.d in Ru NP-graft.d t.As （Ru-t.As） and an accumulat.on layer was observed in ZnPd NP-graft.d t.As （ZnPd-t.As）. t.mperat.re programmed desorpt.on （t.D） experiment. showed significant.y great.r CO2 adsorpt.on on NP-graft.d t.As. t.As wit. graft.d NPs exhibit.broader and more int.nse UV-visible absorpt.on bands t.an bare t.As. We found t.at.CO2 phot.reduct.on by nanopart.cle-graft.d t.As was driven not.only by ult.aviolet.phot.ns wit. energies great.r t.an t.e t.O2 band gap, but.also by blue phot.ns close t. and below t.e anat.se band edge. t.e enhanced rat. of CO2 reduct.on is at.ribut.d t. superior use of blue phot.ns in t.e solar spect.um, excellent.react.nt.adsorpt.on, efficient.charge t.ansfer t. adsorbat.s, and low recombinat.on losses.
