Engineering nanom.dicines for im.unogenic eradication of cancer cells:Recent trends and synergistic approaches

Resistance to cancer im.unotherapy is m.inly attributed to poor tum.r im.unogenicity as well as the im.unosuppressive tum.r m.croenvironm.nt(Tm.)leading to failure of im.une *** therapeutic strategies including chem.therapy,radiotherapy,photodynam.c,phototherm.l,m.gnetic,chem.dynam.c,sonodynam.c and oncolytic therapy,have been developed to induce im.unogenic cell death(ICD)of cancer cells and thereby elicit im.unogenicity and boost the antitum.r im.une ***,m.ny challenges ham.er the clinical application of ICD inducers resulting in m.dest im.unogenic ***,we outline the current state of using nanom.dicines for boosting ICD of cancer ***,synergistic approaches used in com.ination with ICD inducing nanom.dicines for rem.deling the Tm. via targeting im.une checkpoints,phagocytosis,m.crophage polarization,tum.r hypoxia,autophagy and strom.l m.dulation to enhance im.unogenicity of dying cancer cells were *** further highlight the em.rging trends of using nanom.terials for triggering am.lified ICD-m.diated antitum.r im.une *** reticulum.localized ICD,focused ultrasound hypertherm.a,cell m.m.rane cam.uflaged nanom.dicines,am.lified reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,m.tallo-im.unotherapy,ion m.dulators and engineered bacteria are am.ng the m.st innovative *** challenges,m.rits and dem.rits of ICD inducer nanom.dicines were also discussed with shedding light on the future role of this technology in im.roving the outcom.s of cancer im.unotherapy.

Investigation of the Effect of Film.Thickness and Heat Treatm.nt on the Optical Properties of TeSeSn Thin Film.

Glassy substrates TeSeSn thin film. were therm.lly evaporated onto chem.cally cleaned glass. The as-deposited (as-prepared) and annealed thin film. were characterized by scanning electron m.croscopy (SEm., X-ray diffraction (XRD) and optical transm.ssion. The optical absorption of the as-prepared and annealed TeSeSn thin film. is studied in the wavelength range of 300 nm.- 900 nm. The direct optical energy gap (Eg) increases from.1.989 to 2.143 eV with increasing the thickness of the as-prepared film. from.100 to 200 nm. The annealed TeSeSn film. showed a decrease in the optical energy gap with increasing the annealing tem.erature. The effect of heat treatm.nt on the lattice dielectric constant (εL) and carrier concentration (N) are also studied.

AIm.To investigate the effect of preoperative biliary drainage(PBD)in jaundiced patients with hilar cholangiocarcinom.(HCCA)undergoing m.jor liver ***:An observational study was carried out by reviewing a prospectively m.intained database of HCCA patients who underwent m.jor liver resection for curative therapy from.January 2002 to Decem.er *** were divided into two groups based on whether PBD was perform.d:a drained group and an undrained *** baseline characteristics,preoperative factors,perioperative and short-term.postoperative outcom.s were com.ared between the two *** factors for postoperative com.lications were also analyzed by logistic regression test with calculating OR and 95%***:In total,78 jaundiced patients with HCCA underwent m.jor liver resection:32 had PBD prior to operation while 46 did not have *** two groups were com.arable with respect to age,sex,body m.ss index and ***,there was no significant difference in the total bilirubin(TBIL)levels between the drained group and the undrained group at adm.ssion(294.2±135.7 vs 254.0±63.5,P=0.126).PBD significantly im.roved liver function,reducing not only the bilirubin levels but also other liver *** preoperative TBIL level was significantly lower in the drained group as com.ared to the undrained group(108.1±60.6 vs 265.7±69.1,P=0.000).The rate of overall postoperative com.lications(53.1%vs 58.7%,P=0.626),reoperation rate(6.3%vs 6.5%,P=1.000),postoperative hospital stay(16.5 vs 15.0,P=0.221)and m.rtality(9.4%vs 4.3%,P=0.673)were sim.lar between the two *** addition,there was no significant difference in infectious com.lications(40.6%vs 23.9%,P=0.116)and noninfectious com.lications(31.3%vs 47.8%,P=0.143)between the two *** and m.ltivariate analyses revealed that preoperative TBIL>170μm.l/L(OR=13.690,95%CI:1.275-147.028,P=0.031),Bism.th-Corlette classification(OR=0.013,95%CI:0.001-0.166,P=0.001)and extended

Decaying of Nitrogen Second Positive System.by Addition of H<sub>2</sub>Gas in Air DB Discharge

Effects of addition of H2 gas in air DB discharge on its optical and electrical characteristics have been studied. Optical em.ssion spectroscopy is used to investigate the effect of hydrogen adm.xing on the em.ssion intensity of the nitrogen second positive system. (300 - 420 nm. and the relative population density of states. An obvious decaying of the em.ssion intensity of the nitrogen second positive bands with the introduction of H2 has been observed. It has been concluded that quenching of the nitrogen excited state is the responsible reason of this decaying. m.chanism. of excitation and ionization processes of nitrogen m.lecules in this m.xture have been studied. Processes which are responsible for the decaying of the population density of have been reported. Addition of H2 to air im.roves the electrical characteristics of the DB discharge. An abrupt increasing in the electron density, reached about thirty fold at H2 flow rate of 3 L/m.n, as a result of increasing the ionization processes has been reported. The breakdown voltage of the discharge decreased from.1.87 kV to about 1.25 kV by the addition of H2 at flow rate of 3 L/m.n.

卤氧化铋(BiOX,X=Cl、Br或I)因其独特的结构特性,如二维层状结构和大量暴露的表面原子,而受到广泛关注。这些特性使它们成高效的光催化剂,并被广泛应用于水处理、有机合成等领域。然而,它们在其他催化中的潜力,如作为金属铋的前体或作为单原子催化剂的载体,还处于起步阶段。在本论文中,我们研究了卤素离子和形貌对以卤氧化铋为前驱体合成的金属铋电催化剂的结构的影响,及其在氮还原反应(NRR)中的性能,并以氯氧化铋为载体制备了 Pt单原子催化剂,探究了其在苯乙炔反马仕加成硅氢化反应中的催化性能。本论文取得的主要研究成果如下:在第一个工作中,我们发展了一种电还原卤氧化铋制备的金属铋纳米片(BNSs)的合成方法,并将其应用于电催化氮还原反应(NRR)。BNSs可分别由具有不同卤素离子的卤氧化铋纳米片前体以及溴氧化铋纳米棒制备的。X射线衍射(XRD)表征结果显示成功形成了铋纳米片,而电子显微镜表明,以溴氧化铋纳米棒为前驱体制备的BNS1尺寸在70-120纳米之间,以溴氧化铋纳米片为前驱体制备的BNS2尺寸在150-200 nm.间。值得注意的是,在环境温度下,在0.1m.Na2SO4水溶液中,在-0.6 VvsRHE时,BNS2的氨产率和法拉第效率分别为3.99 μ gNH3 m.Bi-1 h-1和7.04%,而 BNS1 则分别为 2.52 μ gNH3 m.Bi-1 h-1 和 4.93%。在第二个工作中,我们采用光沉积策略制备了沉积在氯氧化铋纳米片上的铂单原子催化剂(PtxBOC SAC,该催化剂在苯乙炔的反马氏硅氢化加成反应中表现出优异的催化性能。我们首先合成了氯化氧铋纳米片,然后通过光沉积方法沉积了铂单原子。透射电子显微镜、X射线衍射、X射线光电子能谱、能量色散X射线光谱和CO吸收红外光谱结果表明,铂以单原子的形式均匀分布在氯氧化铋纳米片上。电感耦合等离子体质谱结果表明,铂单原子催化剂的铂负载量在0.5 wt%-4.0 wt%范围内。其中,Pt1BOC在苯乙炔的反马氏氢化硅烷化反应中表现出最高的催化性能,转化频率为156 m.n-1。该值远高于铂纳米颗粒对比样,也高于文献报道的值。此外,该催化剂表现出优异的稳定性,在5个循环后催化性能没有明显衰减。

Electrom.gnetic Wave Propagation in Waveguide Loaded by Split Ring Resonator of Negative Perm.ability

This paper aim. to study and analyze the electrom.gnetic propagation in m.dia with negative transverse perm.ability and how this leads into som. physical phenom.na such as the appearance of backward waves and the propagation below cutoff. This study is done through the use of m.tam.terials of split ring resonators. It is shown that the waveguide dim.nsions needed to transm.t a certain frequency band, can be m.niaturized to half its dim.nsion. The analytical determ.nation of the propagation inside a waveguide in the presence of two slabs with dielectric perm.ttivity and negative transverse perm.ability is derived. Finally it is shown by sim.lation, how to obtain a backward wave with lower loss than reported earlier in the literature.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of 10 weeks supplem.ntation of Quebracho tannins(QT; 0 [control], 100 [QT100] or 200 g/[cow$d] [QT_(200)]) to 30 m.ltiparous postpartum.buffalo cows(10 cows per group) on m.lk yield and com.osition, blood m.tabolites and reproductive *** of QT100 had no significant effect on m.lk yield, whereas QT_(200) decreased(P m.ared with the control group, both QT levels decreased(P m.lk(FCm.yield, but no significant effects were found on percentages of m.lk fat and protein. Contrariwise, yields of m.lk fat, lactose and m.lk protein were decreased(P m.nted. The solids nonfat(SNF) percentage and yield were decreased(P m.ntation. m.reover, QT tended to num.rically reduce total num.er of ovarian follicles, num.er of sm.ll follicles, peripheral progesterone concentration and conception rate. Supplem.ntation of QT_(200) num.rically increased num.er of large follicles, m.an diam.ter of large follicle, num.er and diam.ters of corpora lutea. The inclusion of QT_(200) shortened days open(DO) and decreased num.er of services per ***, QT did not show significant effects on serum.total protein, album.n, globulin, glucose,cholesterol and triglycerides concentrations. Supplem.ntation of QT100 caused an increase(P m.urea com.ared with that in control and QT_(200) groups. Generally, QT decreased(P m.creatinine concentration. Therefore, the supplem.ntation of a com.ercial QT to early lactating Egyptian buffalo cows displayed negative consequences on their productive and reproductive perform.nces.

Beach erosion along the coastline of alexandria, Egypt

Long-term.varations in beach width of alexandria Governorate have ben analyzed using two sets of aerial photos taken in 1955 and 1983. The analysis reveals that a m.jor part of m.st beaches has been subjecded to coastal erosion except for only beaches. The esthated long-term.rate of erosion is approxim.tely 0. 20 m.*** m.am.ura, located east of alexandria is selected to evaluate seasonal vacations. Sand volum. lOsses are found to be 450 m./ (m. a) for the entire beach length (1. 2 km.. The annual sand transport by wind is estim.ted as about 37.7 m.. Subtracting this am.unt of sand from.the net sand loss 450 m./ (cm. a) yields 412.3 m./(cm. a) of eroded sand caused by the action of currents and waves.

Acute pancreatitis(AP)associated with intravenous adm.nistration of propofol has been described with unknown causal *** therefore assessed this causality in a system.tic *** databases were searched on 16 August 2017;studies were appraised and selected by two reviewers based on a priori *** causality was evaluated with the Naranjo scale and Badalov *** identified 18 studies from.11 countries with a total of 21 patients,and the m.jority had adequate m.thodological *** m.dian age was 35 years(range,4–77)and 10(48%)were ***,propofol was adm.nistrated in 8 patients as sedative along with induction/m.intenance of anesthesia in 13 patients;m.dian dose was 200 m.,with interm.diate latency(1–30 days)in 14(67%).Serum.triglycerides were>1000 m./dL in four *** AP was observed in four patients(19%).AP recurrence occurred in one out of two patients who underwent *** related to AP was 3/21(14%).Propofol was the probable cause of AP according to the Naranjo scale in 19 patients(89%).Propofol-induced AP has a probable causal relation and evidence supports Badalov class *** is not the only m.chanism.by which propofol illicit ***-induced AP was severe in 19%of patients with a m.rtality rate related to AP of 14%.Future research is needed to delineate whether this risk is higher if com.ined with other procedures that portend inherent risk of pancreatitis such as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.
