Automated Heuristic Optimization of Prostate VMAT Treatment Planning

Purpose: To investigate a genetic algorithm approach to automatic treatment planning. Methods: A Python script based on genetic algorithm (GA) was implemented for VMAT treatment planning of prostate tumor. The script was implemented in RayStation treatment planning system using Python code. Two different clinical prescriptions were considered: 78 Gy prescribed to planning target volume in 39 fractions (GROUP 1) and simultaneous integrated boost (70.2 Gy to prostate bed and 61.1 Gy to seminal vesicles) in 26 fractions (GROUP 2). The script automatically optimizes doses to PTV and OARs according to GA. A comparison with corresponding plans created with Monaco TPS (M) and Auto-Planning module of Pinnacle3 (AP) was carried out. The plans were evaluated with a total score (TS) of PlanIQ software in terms of target coverage and sparing of OARs as well as clinical score (CS) performed by a Radiation Oncologist. Results: In GROUP 1, mean value of TS were 150.6 ± 30.7, 146.3 ± 36.1 and 137.4 ± 35.7 for AP, GA and M respectively. For GROUP 2, mean value for TS were 163.5 ± 16.8, 163.4 ± 24.7 and 162.9 ± 16.6 for AP, GA and M respectively with no significance differences. In terms of CS, the highest value has been attributed to GA in four patients out of five for both GROUP 1 and 2. Conclusions: Genetic approach is practicable for prostate VMAT plan generation and studies are underway in other anatomical sites such as Head and Neck and Rectum.

Anomaly detection(AD)is an important aspect of various domains and title insurance(TI)is no *** process automation(RPA)is taking over manual tasks in TI business processes,but it has its limitations without the support of artificial intelligence(AI)and machine learning(ML).With increasing data dimensionality and in composite population scenarios,the complexity of detecting anomalies increases and AD in automated document management systems(ADMS)is the least explored *** learning,being the fastest maturing technology can be combined along with traditional anomaly detectors to facilitate and improve the RPAs in *** present a hybrid model for AD,using autoencoders(AE)and a one-class support vector machine(OSVM).In the present study,OSVM receives input features representing real-time documents from the TI business,orchestrated and with dimensions reduced by *** results obtained from multiple experiments are comparable with traditional methods and within a business acceptable range,regarding accuracy and performance.

Study of an epidemic model with Z-type control

In the present paper,an epidemic model with Z-type control mechanism has been pro- posed and analyzed to explore the disease control strategy on an infectious disease *** uncontrolled model can have a disease-free equilibrium and an endemic *** expression of the basic reproduction number and the conditions for the stability of the equilibria are *** is also observed that the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable if R0*** model is further improved by considering Z-control mechanism and *** can be controlled by using Z-control while the basic reproduction of the uncontrolled system is greater than *** positivity conditions of the solutions are derived and the basin of attraction for successful implementation of Z-control mechanism is also *** verify the analytical findings,extensive numerical simulations on the model are carried out.

Efficient One-Pot Access to 2,9-Dihydrothiopyrano[2,3-b]indole Scaffolds Showing Large Stokes Shifts

A simple, mild and efficient one-pot approach for the construction of 2-aryl-3-nitro-2,9-dihydrothiopyrano- [2,3-b]indole derivatives has been realized in CH2C12 medium at ambient temperature via three-component tandem reaction of N-protected-2-chloro-3-formylindoles, sodium hydrosulfide and β-substituted nitroolefins/δ-substituted nitrodienes using DABCO （10 mol%） as an organocatalyst, followed by dehydration in the presence of activated molecular sieves （4 A）. The significant advantages of this protocol are simple operation, shorter reaction time, high atom economy, good to high yields （73%-89%） and wider substrate scope. In addition, all the synthesized com- pounds have shown the large positive Stokes shift values （5632-6081 cm ^-1）.

Strategic recommendations for financing green and sustainable energy projects

Scientific analysis of indigenous techniques for guggal(Commiphora wightii) tapping in India

Guggal, a threatened species that is endemic to western India, is tapped to extract medicinally important oleo-gum-resin （guggul）. However, the plant dies after gum exudation. The indigenous tapping techniques used by local people were examined in Gujarat, India to dis-cover the scientific basis behind these techniques： selection of gum in-ducer, season of tapping, and plant parts to be tapped. First, the presence of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. commiphorae （Xac） in the gum suspen-sion used for tapping was established. This bacterium induces gum ooz-ing from the tapped plants and later, causes them to die off. The popula-tion of Xac in gum was found to decrease with the age of the gum. With that, fresh gum increased the tapping success. Second, local people pre-ferred tapping during the warm season, which we validated by determin-ing that Xac growth was best at 30 ＆#176;C. Tapping during September （mean temperature 25.7-30.0 ＆#176;C） clearly favoured growth of the pathogen and yielded maximum guggul. Multiple tapping on a mature tree ensured maximum gum extraction before its death. Finally, application of in-digenous technology under natural plant stands by the local people en-sured availability of this important raw drug for consumption. Our study established that the age-old traditional methods have a strong scientific basis. However, it is imperative to formulate strategies based on con-temporary scientific understanding to protect this natural resource before it becomes extinct.
