Refractory high-entropy alloys(RHEAs)show significant elevated-temperature yield strengths and have potential to use as high-performance materials in gas turbine *** the vast RHEA compositional space experimentally is challenging,and a small fraction of this space has been explored to *** work demonstrates the development of a state-of-the-art machine learning framework coupled with optimization methods to intelligently explore the vast compositional space and drive the search in a direction that improves high-temperature yield *** yield strength model is shown to have a significantly improved predictive accuracy relative to the state-of-the-art approach,and also provides inherent uncertainty quantification through the use of repeated k-fold *** developing and validating a robust yield strength prediction model,the coupled framework is used to discover RHEAs with superior high temperature yield *** have shown that RHEA compositions can be customized to have maximum yield strength at a specific temperature.

Advances in photo editing software have made it possible to generate visually convincing photographic forgeries which have been increased tremendously in recent years. In order to alleviate the problem of image forgery, a handful of techniques have been presented in the literature to detect forgery either in shadow or reflection. This paper aims to develop a technique to detect the image forgery either in shadow or reflection using features enabled neural network. The proposed technique of image forgery detection contains three important steps, like segmentation, feature extraction and detection. In segmentation, shadow points and reflection points are identified using map-based segmentation and FCM clustering. Then, feature points from the shadow points and reflective parts are extracted by considering texture consistency and strength consistency using LVP operator. The final step of forgery detection is performed using the feed forward neural network, where a new algorithm called ABCLM is developed for training of neural network weights. The performance is analyzed with four existing algorithms using measures such as accuracy and MSE. From the analysis, we understand that the proposed technique obtained the maximum accuracy of 80.49%.

The conventional flexible pavements have been constructed such that the stiffness of the layer reduces with *** crust thickness becomes significantly high for heavy traffic corridors resulting in the consumption of large quantities of construction materials and also increasing environmental *** pavements with the aggregate interlayer(AIL)or stress absorbing membrane interlayer(samI)are considered to be one of the alternatives for thick conventional flexible pavements for heavy traffic *** AIL or samI is placed between a stiff cement-treated base and asphalt concrete layer to function as crack relief *** change in the composition alters the behaviour of inverted pavements compared to the conventional flexible *** the other hand,wide-base tires are being increasingly preferred by trucking industries due to increased fuel economy and cargo ***,the effect of wide-base tires on the performance of inverted pavements is yet to be *** this study,the 3D finite element(FE)models of inverted pavements considering different crack relief layers were developed,and load from dual-wheel and wide-base tires were *** stress-strain evolution in the various layers of inverted pavements was investigated and discussed in this *** results indicated the higher stress and strains due to wide base tires compared to the dual-wheel ***,pavement with samI was found to result in lower stress and strains in the asphalt concrete layer compared to AIL pavements.

As a fascinating alternative to the energy-intensive Haber-Bosch process,the electrochemically-driven N_(2) reduction reaction(NRR)utilizing the N_(2) and H_(2)O for the production of NH3 has received enormous *** development and preparation of promising electrocatalysts are requisite to realize an efficient N_(2) conversion for NH3 *** this research,we propose a template-assisted strategy to construct the hollow electrocatalyst with controllable *** a paradigm,the hollow Cr_(2)O_(3) nanocatalyst with a uniform size(~170 nm),small cavity and ultrathin shell(~15 nm)is successfully fabricated with this *** promising hollow structure is favourable to trap N_(2) into the cavity,provides abundant active sites to accelerate the three-phase interactions,and facilitates the reactant transfer across the *** to these synergetic effects,the designed catalyst displays an outstanding behaviour in N_(2) fixation for NH3 production in ambient *** the neutral electrolyte of 0.1 mol·L^(-1) Na_(2)SO_(4),an impressive electrocatalytic performance with the NH3 generation rate of 2.72μg·h^(-1)·cm^(-2) and a high FE of 5.31%is acquired respectively at-0.85 V with the hollow Cr_(2)O_(3) *** by this work,it is highly expected that this approach could be applied as a universal strategy and extended to fabricating other promising electrocatalysts for realizing highly efficient nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR).

Role of Ag microalloying on glass forming ability and crystallization kinetics of ZrCoAgAlNi amorphous alloy

Bulk metallic glasses(BMGs) with new chemical compositions(ZrCoAgAlNi) were fabricated and the effects of Ag minor addition on the glass forming ability(GFA) and crystallization kinetics were studied. The x-ray diffraction(XRD) test was applied to identify the amorphousness of BMGs or possible crystalline phases. Using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC), the thermal stability and crystallization kinetics under a non-isothermal condition at the different heating rates were studied. Considering the heating rate dependency of glass transition and crystallization kinetics, the activation energy was evaluated and measured for the mentioned processes. It was revealed that the rise in Ag content led to the decrease in activation energy for glass transition, while the activation energy for crystallization increased. The thermal stability and GFA were also studied and it was found that the Ag addition strongly affected the inherent features of BMGs. With the increase in Ag content, the atomic mobility and structural rearrangement changed in the material and consequently, the GFA and thermal stability were significantly improved.

Smartphone dependency and its impact on academics among medical and nursing students: A cross-sectional study

Objective:This study aimed to assess smartphone dependency and its impact on academics among medical and nursing *** and Methods:A cross-sectional study was carried out on Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)and Bachelor of Science in Nursing(BScN)students in a medical teaching *** Smartphone Dependency Scale and self-structured questionnaire on impact of smartphone on academics were used to assess smartphone dependency and its impact on academics.A total of 436 students were selected using the total enumerative sampling *** were analyzed using the descriptive(frequency,percentage,mean,and standard deviation)and inferential(t-test,Chi-square test)***:The mean age of students was 20.6±1.29 years,81%were females,and the mean body mass index score was 21.59±3.41 kg/*** mean impact on academics and smartphone dependency scores was 19.92±7.01 and 48.58±11.46,*** impact on academics had a significant association with student category(P<0.001)and gender(P<0.001).A significant association was found between the impact on academics(P=0.003)and smartphone dependency(P=0.05)with studying ***:The use of smartphones is more among medical *** studying in the first and second years are found to be more dependent on smartphone,which caused a serious impact on their *** appliances have become mandatory in this era of technology,and it is not possible to stop its usage but negative impact of smartphones on students’academic performance needs to be ***,it is mandatory to organize educational seminars and workshops to promote the appropriate use of smartphones.
