Understorey plant community assemblage of Australian Eucalyptus woodlands under elevated CO_(2)is modulated by water and phosphorus availability

Aims Given the key functional role of understorey plant communities and the substantial extent of forest cover at the global scale,investigating understorey community responses to elevated CO_(2)(eCO_(2))concentrations,and the role of soil resources in these responses,is important for understanding the ecosystem-level consequences of rising CO_(2)concentrations for forest ***,we evaluated how experimentally manipulating the availabilities of the two most limiting resources in an extremely phosphorus-limited eucalypt woodland in eastern Australia(*** and phosphorus)can modulate the response of the understorey community to eCO_(2)in terms of germination,phenology,cover,community composition and leaf *** We collected soil containing native soil seed bank to grow experimental understorey plant communities under glasshouse *** Findings Phosphorus addition increased total plant cover,particularly during the first 4 weeks of growth and under high water conditions,a response driven by the graminoid component of the plant ***,the treatment differences diminished as the experiment progressed,with all treatments converging at〜80%lant cover after〜11 *** contrast,plant cover was not affected by eCO_(2).Multivariate analyses reflected temporal changes in the composition of plant communities,from pots where bare soil was dominant to high-cover pots dominated by a diverse ***,both phosphorus addition and the interaction between water availability and CO_(2)affected the temporal trajectory of the plant community during the ***_(2)also increased community-level specific leaf area,suggesting that functional adaptation of plant communities to CO_(2)may precede the onset of compositional *** that the response of our seed bank-derived understorey community to CO_(2)developed over time and was mediated by interactions with phosphorus and water availability,our results suggest a limited ro

目的比较七氟醚中流量、低流量及双频指数监测下低流量循环紧闭麻醉,以探讨七氟醚的应用方法。方法 96例ASA Ⅰ～Ⅱ级择期全麻手术病人,随机分为三组,A组:中流量循环紧闭麻醉,氧流量1000 ml/min;B组:低流量循环紧闭麻醉,氧流量500 ml/min;C组:双频指数监测下低流量循环紧闭麻醉,氧流量500ml/min。各组均以七氟醚环路内吸入维持麻醉。A、B两组根据临床麻醉体征和手术刺激情况调节七氟醚浓度,C组根据BIS值调节七氟醚浓度。结果 A组、B组和C组呼气末七氟醚维持浓度分别为(1.4±0.2)MAC、(1.1±0.2)MAC和(0.8±0.2)MAC水平;七氟醚总耗量分别为(13.3±1.6)m1/h、(9.6±1.5)ml/h和(7.5±1.8)ml/h,C组七氟醚总耗量最低(P<0.01);苏醒时间分别为(14.3±3.3)min、(10.5±2.8)min和(7.5±2.6)min;意识恢复时间分别为(24.5±6.1)min、(17.4±5.5)min和(12.7±4.8)min,c组苏醒时间和意识恢复时间最快;恶心呕吐发生率分别为14.5％±2.6％、10.1％±2.3％和7.5％±2.1％,c组恶心呕吐发生率最低。结论双频指数监测下七氟醚低流量循环紧闭麻醉具有节约麻醉药,苏醒时间短和恶心呕吐发生率低的优点,是一种良好的麻醉方法。

PEF Assisted Thermal Sterilization （PEF-ATS） Process-Inactivation of Geobacillus sterothermophilus Spores

An improvement to existed methods of microbial spore inactivation is presented in this paper. A treatment chamber was designed to hold elevated temperatures （above 100℃） and pressure in the range of （3 atm）. The innovative thermal assisted pulsed electric fields （PEF-ATS） processing was applied to inactivate Geobacillus sterothermophilus ATCC 10149 spores suspended in simulated milk ultrafiltrate （SMUF） of 50% （wt/wt） concentration. G. stearothermophilus spores are extremely resistant to high temperature and are also proven to be resistant to PEF processing in the range of 35 kv/cm. However, the combination of PEF and high temperature treatment conducted in this work shows significant inactivation of the G. stearothermophilus spores. A processing temperature/time of 115 ℃/3.7 sec with an electric field intensity of 45 kv/cm showed 4.1 Iogmicrobial reductions, which are significantly less than usually obtained in thermal treatment alone.

Cyclophosphamide is a potent cytotoxic agent used in many clinical settings. The main risks of cyclophosphamide therapy include hematological disorders, infertility, hemorrhagic cystitis and malignancies. Gastrointestinal side effects reported to date are often non-specific and not severe. We present the first case of a fatal small bowel enteritis and pan-colitis which appears to be associated with cyclophosphamide. We aim to raise the readers' awareness of this significant adverse event to facilitate clinical suspicion and early recognition in potential future cases.

一直以来,人类学家和社会语言学家对亲属称谓用于指称非亲属的语义迁移非常感兴趣,他们研究不同文化中的语义迁移情况。本研究以八个汉语亲属称谓为对象,研究它们在近年来的经济改革中被用于二十一个非亲属的职业称谓中的情况,并试图分析这种语义迁移背后的驱动力。和既有研究成果相比,本文独特的发现是:除了性别之外的其他区别性特征,包括血缘关系,姻亲关系,年龄,代际身份等,都在这种语义迁移中被中化。这种中化主要是由这些非亲属的职业地位驱动的。本研究的结果显示,亲属称谓用于指称非亲属这一语义迁移中的"分类错误"是公众评价该非亲属的职业地位的一种"态度言语行为"。
