Modeling solid Waste Minimization Performance at source in Dar es salaam City, Tanzania

Municipal solid waste generation is strongly linked to rising human population and expanding urban areas, with significant implications on urban metabolism as well as space and place values redefinition. Effective management performance of municipal solid waste management underscores the interdisciplinarity strategies. such knowledge and skills are paramount to uncover the sources of waste generation as well as means of waste storage, collection, recycling, transportation, handling/treatment, disposal, and monitoring. This study was conducted in Dar es salaam city. Driven by the curiosity model of the solid waste minimization performance at source, study data was collected using focus group discussion techniques to ward-level local government officers, which was triangulated with literature and documentary review. The main themes of the FGD were situational factors (sFA) and local government by-laws (LGBY). In the FGD session, sub-themes of sFA tricked to understand how MsW minimization is related to the presence and effect of services such as land use planning, availability of landfills, solid waste transfer stations, material recovery facilities, incinerators, solid waste collection bins, solid waste trucks, solid waste management budget and solid waste collection agents. similarly, FGD on LGBY was extended by sub-themes such as contents of the by-law, community awareness of the by-law, and by-law enforcement mechanisms. While data preparation applied an analytical hierarchy process, data analysis applied an ordinary least square (OLs) regression model for sub-criteria that explain sFA and LGBY;and OLs standard residues as variables into geographically weighted regression with a resolution of 241 × 241 meter in ArcMap v10.5. Results showed that situational factors and local government by-laws have a strong relationship with the rate of minimizing solid waste dumping in water bodies (local R square = 0.94).

This editorial aimed to consolidate the current evidence in literature on the association between myasthenia gravis(MG)and cardiac involvement,focusing on the impact of thymoma,antistriational antibodies,and late-onset ***,the study aimed to explore the influence of genetic differences among populations on the association with cardiac *** conducted a review of existing literature in PubMed and Google scholar to find relevant studies on cardiac involvement in *** created search criteria using a combination of free text words,including MG,antistriational antibodies,thymectomy,cardiomyopathy,myocarditis,arrhythmias,autonomic *** articles published in English language were analyzed and *** findings indicate a strong association between thymoma,myasthenic crisis,antistriational antibodies,and late-onset MG with cardiac *** study also revealed that genetic differences among populations influence the risk of cardiac disease and electrocardiography(ECG)abnormalities in MG *** dysfunctions altered cardiac autonomic response and increased susceptibility to arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death in MG *** study supports the significance of thymoma,antistriational antibodies,and late-onset MG as key factors associated with cardiac involvement in MG *** emphasizes the importance of ECG as the initial test in managing MG patients,particularly in the perioperative period,to identify and genetic testing if needed to address their cardiac risk effectively.

This manuscript explores the potential use of Remimazolam in the intensive care unit(ICU)and critical care units,considering its pharmacological characteristics,clinical applications,advantages,and comparative effectiveness over current sedatives and *** reviewed existing PubMed and Google scholar literature to find relevant studies on Remimazolam in *** created search criteria using a combination of free text words,including Remimazolam,critical care,intensive care,sedation,anesthesia,pharmacokinetics,and *** articles published in the English language were analyzed and *** is an ultra-short-acting benzodiazepine derivative promising for sedation and *** is a safer option for hemodynamically unstable,elderly,or liver or kidney *** also has comparable deep sedation properties to propofol in the ***,it reduces post-procedural delirium and patient comfort and reduces the need for additional sedatives in pediatric *** conclusion,Remimazolam is an excellent alternative to current sedatives and anesthetics in the *** cost is comparable to that of current *** research on its long-term safety in the ICU and its broader application and incorporation into routine use is necessary.

CATIONIC RING-OPENING POLYMERIZATION OF TETRAHYDROFURAN WITH KEGGIN-TYPE HETEROPOLYCOMPOUNDs As sOLID ACID CATalYsTs

Three Keggin-type heteropolyanions, namely H3PMo12O40-13H2O, （NH4）3PMo12O40·4H2O and H3PW12O40·13H2O were prepared and tested in the ring-opening polymerization reaction of tetrahydrofuran. The effects of the counter-cation （H＋, NH4＋） and the peripheral atoms （Mo, W） on the polymerization were investigated. It has been found that when the protons of H3PMo12O40·13H2O were replaced by the ammonium cations the polymerization rate decreased dramatically. Whereas, when the peripheral atoms （Mo） were replaced by their homologous （W）, the polymerization rate increased twofold. As for the viscosity average molecular weight （My） of polymer products, it was found that the high molecular weight （7930） was obtained by using H3PW12O40·13H2O. The molecular weight （My） obtained by H3PMo12O40·13H2O and （NH4）H3PMo12O40·13H2O was 6470 and 6810, respectively.

Characterization of antioxidant and antibacterial compounds from aerial parts of Haplophyllum tuberculatum

The aerial parts of Haplophyllum tuberculatum(***)have traditionally been used by local communities to treat fever,gastrointestinal disorders,worms,malaria and fractures,how-ever,the responsible ingredients of the selected medicinal plant have not been *** the present study,antibacterial and antioxidant ingredients were isolated and characterized from the plant parts of locally grown ***,and their biological activity was *** powder aerial parts were extracted with methanol and the extract was successively frac-tionated with different polarities of *** polarities of extracts(hexane,chloroform,ethyl acetate,butanol,methanol and water)were used to determine their antibacterial and antioxi-dant activity by established in-vitro *** disk diffusion and free radical scavenging 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH)methods were used to evaluate antibacterial and antioxidant activities of the prepared extracts and pure isolated compounds at different concentrations against three strains of Gram-positive and three Gram-negative *** antibacterial activity results showed that all prepared fractions and isolated pure compounds of the plant species gave signif-icant activity against all Gram(+and-)bacterial strains with the range of inhibition 0-20 *** antioxidant activity of the prepared extracts at all concentrations also showed substantial *** on the highest activity,ethyl acetate and chloroform extracts were selected for the separation and isolation of antioxidant and antibacterial compounds by thin layer chromatogra-phy(TLC),column chromatography(CC),and preparative thin layer chromatography(PTLIC).The structure of the isolated antioxidant and antibacterial compounds from the ethyl acetate and chloroform extracts were determined on the basis of nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)and mass *** isolated pure compounds and active extracts could be used as a medicine for various infectious related di
