Studies have shown that supplementing ruminant diets with vegetable oils modulated the rumen biohydrogenation and increased polyunsaturated fatty acid in their products. These positive values are often accompanied by a marginal loss of supplemented unsaturated fatty acids and rise in the concentrations of saturated fatty acids. This study were carried out mainly to investigate the effect of supplementing diets with sunflower oil, olive oil with or without monensin on the production and accumulation of vaccenic acid(VA) in continuous culture fermenters as a long term in vitro rumen simulation *** dual-flow continuous culture fermenters were used in an 8 replication experiment lasted 10 days each(first 7 days for adaptation and last 3 days for samples collection). Supplementing diets with plant oils and monensin in the present experiment increased VA and conjugated linoleic acids(P > 0.05) in ruminal cultures. The results suggest that supplementing diets with both olive oil and sunflower oil and monensin increased VA accumulation compared to plant oils supplemented alone without affecting the rumen dry matter and organic matter digestibility.

This paper describes the analysis and design of an assistive device for elderly people under development at the EgyptJapan University of Science and Technology（E-JUST） named E-JUST assistive device（EJAD）.Several experiments were carried out using a motion capture system（VICON） and inertial sensors to identify the human posture during the sit-to-stand *** EJAD uses only two inertial measurement units（IMUs） fused through an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems（ANFIS） algorithm to imitate the real motion of the *** EJAD consists of two main parts,a robot arm and an active *** robot arm is a 2-degree-of-freedom（2-DOF） planar *** addition,a back support with a passive joint is used to support the patient s *** IMUs on the leg and trunk of the patient are used to compensate for and adapt to the EJAD system motion depending on the obtained patient *** ANFIS algorithm is used to train the fuzzy system that converts the IMUs signals to the right posture of the patient.A control scheme is proposed to control the system motion based on practical measurements taken from the experiments.A computer simulation showed a relatively good performance of the EJAD in assisting the patient.

Water is the most essential natural resource for the future *** production is extensively water-dependent and a significant polluter of water ***,this work investigated the effect of two different preparation media[Bold’s Basal Medium(BBM)and Domiati cheese whey(DCW)]for agricultural drainage water(ADW)*** treatments were incubated for 6 *** to the results of biomass productivity,specific growth rate,photosynthetic pigments,and biochemical composition,Desmodesmus *** grow in drainage water without *** two treatments significantly reduced the concentration of nitrate,phosphate,chemical oxygen demand,and sodium in ***,using cheese whey with BBM as inoculum preparation media enhanced the lipid accumulation in the algal biomass(25.4%w/w)and gave the best biodiesel properties among ***,combining remediation of drainage water with microalgae mass production can achieve the sustainability of agriculture.

Objective:Early treatment of acute ischemia of the heart by performing immediate percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)to restore blood fl ow in patients with the clinical presentation of an acute coronary syndrome and more specifi cally with ST-elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI)can save *** study aims to identify the mean time(door to balloon time and fi rst contact to balloon time)to primary PCI for STEMI patients and to assess the percentage of primary PCI and its success rate in ***:A registry study of patients presenting to cardiac centers in Egypt was designed,where patients’basic characteristics,the treatment strategy,and the door to balloon time and the fi rst contact to balloon time were ***:One thousand six hundred fi fty STEMI patients with a mean age of 57 years were included in the *** transfer for primary PCI was the most used treatment strategy,representing 74.6%of all treatment strategies *** door to balloon time and the fi rst contact to balloon time were 50 and 60 minutes,respectively,with a primary PCI success rate of 65.1%.Conclusion:The registry study results showed a marked improvement by implementation of the best treatment strategy with respect to the time factor to achieve a better outcome for STEMI patients in Egypt.

Dartos Fascio-Myo-Cutaneous Flap for Penile Skin Loss: A Simple Flap with an Immense Potential

Introduction: Penile skin loss poses a particular challenge for reconstruction to the plastic surgeon. These defects, depending on their size, have been reconstructed using skin grafts or regional flap. Patients & Methods: Ten patients with variable sized penile skin defects were included in this work. Scrotal fascio-myo-cutaneous (Dartos) flap was harvested and used for penile shaft resurfacing. Results: All harvested flaps were successful. None of them showed any ischemic manifestations. Discussion: Despite being a simple and robust flap, its use for resurfacing of moderate to extensive penile skin defects isn’t popular. We propose the use of Dartos flap as a good alternative for challenging moderate to extensive penile skin losses.

Background: During pregnancy a small number of fetal RBCs (Red Blood Cells) enter maternal blood without risk, and incidence of significant feto-maternal hemorrhage (FMH) and isoimmunization depends on how much fetal blood enters maternal circulation;the use of flow cytometer (FCM) in FMH detection is considered the best laboratory technique. Aims: To evaluate role of FCM in FMH estimation to optimize delivery protocols and decrease isoimmunization. Subject and Method: 100 pregnant women at labor were included, equally classified into early cord clamping (ECC) and delayed cord clamping (DCC) groups, each including 25 women delivered vaginally and 25 with caesarian section;the control groups included 20 non-pregnant females, 20 at 3rd trimester and 20 neonates. Fetal RBCs were done on Becton Dickinson (B.D) FCM, and the reagents used were 5-Glutaraldehyde 0.5% Sigma cat. G5882, flouroscine isothiocyanite (FITC) anti-hemoglobin F (Hb-F) cat. 555748, anti-carbonic anhydrase, Triton-X100 solution and Alsever’s solution cat. HFH-11, 0.1% phosphate buffer saline/bovine serum albumin (PBS/BSA). Statistical Analysis: Mann Whitney’s U-test, Chi-squared, Fischer’s Exact tests, and SPSS for windows version 15.0. Results: There was a significant increase in the volume of the FMH in the ECC compared to DCC groups (p elivery comparing to caesarian section subgroups within the DCC group (p aboratory test should be done in routine investigations, as a guide for obstetric techniques that can alter FMH volume and decrease subsequent isoimmunization.

With the innovation of microelectronics technology, the heat dissipation problem inside the device will face a severe test. In this work, cellulose aerogel(CA) with highly enhanced thermal conductivity(TC) in vertical planes was successfully obtained by constructing a vertically aligned silicon carbide nanowires(SiC NWs)/boron nitride(BN) network via the ice template-assisted strategy. The unique network structure of SiC NWs connected to BN ensures that the TC of the composite in the vertical direction reaches 2.21 W m^(-1) K^(-1) at a low hybrid filler loading of 16.69 wt%, which was increased by 890% compared to pure epoxy(EP). In addition, relying on unique porous network structure of CA, EP-based composite also showed higher TC than other comparative samples in the horizontal direction. Meanwhile, the composite exhibits good electrically insulating with a volume electrical resistivity about 2.35 × 10^(11) Ω cm and displays excellent electromagnetic wave absorption performance with a minimum reflection loss of-21.5 dB and a wide effective absorption bandwidth(ellent multifunctional performances in microelectronic packaging applications.

Inhibition of spoilage mold of common contaminant of bakery goods in modal agar system by potassium sorbate and calcium propionate in wide range of concentration (0 - 2000 ppm) at different pH (5.5 - 7) was investigated. All Samples were examined daily for mold growth. Results showed that both potassium sorbate and calcium propionate can be used effectively to inhibit mold growth and the effectiveness of these preservatives is enhanced by increasing the concentration and decreasing the pH. The effect of modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) comprised of 60% or 80% CO2 (balance N2) and oxygen absorbents on the growth of mold was also studied on the agar system. The results indicated that mold growth was prevented up to 42 days in packs flushed with 60% or 80% CO2 (balance N2). It was also evident that all samples did not show mold growth for >40 days when packaged in the presence of oxygen scavenger sachet.
