The introduction of metals into vitreous matrices is the origin of various interesting phenomena;in particular,the presence of copper ions in glass has been the subject of considerable research because of its numerous *** ion-exchange process is primarily used to introduce copper ions into glass *** thermoluminescence(TL)of silicate glass was studied to evaluate its potential as gamma-sensitive material for dosimetric applications;the effect of copper doping on the thermoluminescent sensitivity was investigated using the Cu-Na ion-exchange technique for different concentrations and doping conditions,over a wide dose range of 10 mGy to 100 *** results showed that Cu doping significantly improved the sensitivity of the glasses to gamma *** the ion-exchange,two peaks appeared in the glow curves at approximately 175 and 230°C,respectively,which possibly originated from the Cu^(+) centers,along with a weak TL peak at around 320℃.We also attempted to explain the origin of the observed thermoluminescence by exploiting the Electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)*** results clearly show quenching of the TL emission with increasing copper *** present work indicates that the thermoluminescence response of these glasses to gamma rays can be reasonably measured in the range of 0.001-100 *** study also facilitates the understanding of the basic TL mechanism in this glass system.

Development of the telencephalon relies upon several signaling centers-localized cellular populations that supply secreted factors to pattern the cortical *** such signaling center is the cortical hem,which arises during embryonic development at the telencephalic dorsal midline,adjacent to the choroid plexus and hippocampal primordium(Figure 1A).While the cortical hem has also been described in reptiles and birds,most of our knowledge about the developmental roles of the cortical hem is derived from the analysis in *** cortical hem produces several types of secreted molecules,including wingless-related integration site(Wnt)and bone morphogenetic(Bmp)*** cortical hem is particularly important for the development of the hippocampus,which is involved in learning and memory,and the neocortex,which is the most complex brain region that mediates multiple types of behavior and higher cognitive functions(Mangale et al.,2008;Dal-Valle-Anton and Borrell,2022).

An integral terminal sliding mode controller is proposed in order to control chaos in a rod-type plasma torch *** this method, a new sliding surface is defined based on a combination of the conventional sliding surface in terminal sliding mode control and a nonlinear function of the integral of the system states. It is assumed that the dynamics of a chaotic system are unknown and also the system is exposed to disturbance and unstructured uncertainty. To achieve a chattering-free and high-speed response for such an unknown system, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system is utilized in the next step to approximate the unknown part of the nonlinear dynamics. Then, the proposed integral terminal sliding mode controller stabilizes the approximated system based on Lyapunov＇s stability theory. In addition, a Bee algorithm is used to select the coefficients of integral terminal sliding mode controller to improve the performance of the proposed method. Simulation results demonstrate the improvement in the response speed, chattering rejection, transient response,and robustness against uncertainties.

In the present study, a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics simulation together with experimental field measurements was applied to optimize the performance of an industrial hydrocyclone at Sarcheshmeh copper complex. In the simulation, the Eulerian–Eulerian approach was used for solid and liquid phases, the latter being water. In this approach, nine continuous phases were considered for the solid particles with different sizes and one continuous phase for water. The continuity and momentum equations with inclusion of buoyancy and drag forces were solved by the finite volume method. The k–e RNG turbulence model was used for modeling of turbulency. There was a good agreement between the simulation results and the experimental data. After validation of the model accuracy, the effect of inlet solid percentage, pulp inlet velocity, rod inserting in the middle of the hydrocyclone and apex diameter on hydrocyclone performance was investigated. The results showed that by decreasing the inlet solid percentage and increasing the pulp inlet velocity, the efficiency of hydrocyclone increased. Decreasing the apex diameter caused an increase in the hydrocyclone efficiency.

Objective: To explore whether a DNA immunization approach targeting the major haemorrhage molecule of a prothrombin activator-like metalloproteinase from Echis ocellatus(E. ocellatus) venom could be conceived to inspire antibodies with more prominent specificity and equal adequacy to current conventional antivenoms ***: The isolated DNA Eo MP-6 was used as the template for PCR amplification using the Eo DC-2-specific forward and reverse primers. A PCR product of approximately700 bp was obtained and cloned into p Sec Tag-B expression vector where anti-Eo DC-2antibodies were generated and analysed for their efficacy to neutralise local haemorrhage in vitro and in ***: Our results suggest that the generated anti-Eo DC-2 showed a remarkable efficacy by(a) interfering with the interaction of the recombinant disintegrin "Eo DC-2" isolated from the E. ocellatus as well as other viper species to the a2b1-integrins on platelets;(b) complete inhibition of the catalytic site of the metalloproteinase molecules in vitro using an adaptation antibody zymography assay. Furthermore, it has a polyspecific potential and constitutively expressed significant inhibition by cross-reaction and neutralised venom-induced local haemorrhage exerted by different viper species in vivo. The potential characteristic of Eo DC-2 against one part(the non-catalytic domain) as opposed to the whole molecule to neutralise its haemorrhagic activity is of crucial importance as it represents a novel approach with greater immunological specificity and fewer hazards, if any, than conventional systems of antivenom production, by exposure large animals that usually being used for the current antivenom production to a less injurious than expression of the whole molecule containing the catalytic metalloprotease domain. The production of bright light, with vivid color, is the primary purpose of signaling, illuminating devices,and fire control purposes. This study, reports on the development of red flame compositions with enhanced performance in terms of luminous intensity, and color quality. The light intensity and the imprint spectra of developed red flame compositions to standard NATO red tracer(R-284 NATO) were measured using digital luxmeter, and UV-Vis. spectrometer. The main giving of this study is that the light intensity of standard NATO red tracer was increased by 72%, the color quality was also improved by60%(over the red band from 650 to 780 nm). This enhanced spectral performance was achieved by means of deriving the combustion process to maximize the formation of red color emitting species in the combustion flame. Thanks to the optimum ratio of color source to color intensifier using aluminum metal fuel; this approach offered the highest intensity and color quality. Upon combustion, aluminum was found to maximize the formation SrCL(the main reactive red color emitting species) and to minimize the interfering incandescent emission resulted from MgO and SrO. Quantification of active red color emitting species in the combustion flame was conducted using chemical equilibrium thermodynamic code named ICT. The improvement in red flare performance, established the rule that the color intensifier should be in the range from 10 to 15 Wt % of the total composition.

Background:Stone pine(Pinus pinea L.)is harvested for its edible *** is an important forest tree species,and also plays an important role in *** afforestation activities strongly depend on the quality of seeds and *** eastern native populations of stone pine were analyzed,in terms of their geographical and climatic parameters,in order to identify their cone,seed,pine nut,and seedling *** this regard,we aimed to contribute to the reforestation,yield,and breeding of this ***:All native populations occur in the sub-humid bioclimatic zone,according to Emberger’s bioclimatic classification,ranging 74.7-63.2 of Emberger’s Q Index value(Q),which synthesizes humidity and temperature,with lower values indicating more arid *** regard to geographical factors,altitude was found to have the greatest effect on cone diameter and seed weight,while there was a weak correlation of cone,seed,and pine nut dimension with longitude and *** terms of climatic factors,Q and mean of the maximum temperature of June,July,and August(ME)were found to be the main drivers behind significant effects in cone,seed,and pine nut morphometric *** most negative effect on seed number cone−1(r:−0.897),pine nut number cone−1(r:−0.923),pine nut yield(r:−0.903),and pine nut weight(r:−0.878)was Q,whereas cone diameter,seed length,and seed weight were positively correlated with the ME(r:0.939,r:0.889,and r:0.866,respectively).Cone and seed diameter and seed weight increased with decreasing summer drought index(r:−0.806,r:−0.846,and r:−0.866,respectively).Rainfall in the June of the third year prior to harvest time(RJ)had a negative effect on the percentage of sound seeds per *** rainfall in the third year prior to harvest time(AR)significantly affected pine nut weight(r:0.889),although rainfall during summer had a negative *** empty seed ratio of the different populations ranged from 20 to 68%,while considering
