Modeling viscosity of methane,nitrogen,and hydrocarbon gas mixtures at ultra-high pressures and temperatures using group method of data handling and gene expression programming techniques

Accurate gas viscosity determination is an important issue in the oil and gas *** approaches for gas viscosity measurement are timeconsuming,expensive and hardly possible at high pressures and high temperatures(HPHT).In this study,a number of correlations were developed to estimate gas viscosity by the use of group method of data handling(GMDH)type neural network and gene expression programming(GEP)techniques using a large data set containing more than 3000 experimental data points for methane,nitrogen,and hydrocarbon gas *** is worth mentioning that unlike many of viscosity correlations,the proposed ones in this study could compute gas viscosity at pressures ranging between 34 and 172 MPa and temperatures between 310 and 1300 ***,a comparison was performed between the results of these established models and the results of ten wellknown models reported in the *** absolute relative errors of GMDH models were obtained 4.23%,0.64%,and 0.61%for hydrocarbon gas mixtures,methane,and nitrogen,*** addition,graphical analyses indicate that the GMDH can predict gas viscosity with higher accuracy than GEP at HPHT ***,using leverage technique,valid,suspected and outlier data points were ***,trends of gas viscosity models at different conditions were evaluated.

A novel Shan and Chen type Lattice Boltzmann two phase method to study the capillary pressure curves of an oil water pair in a porous media

In this study,an immiscible oil-water two phase flow in a typical porous media was modeled using the well-known Lattice Boltzmann method.A set of flow tests for modeling an oil-water two phase flow in the porous media were conducted to generate the capillary pressure curves for two distinctive initial conditions,namely,water and oil dispersed conditions in two domains of different *** on the obtained results,the general trend of these curves has an acceptable agreement with the usual trend of these curves in hydrocarbon reservoirs and the capillary data are independent of the initial ***,the results showed the effect of grid resolution on capillary data which are validated quantitatively by proposing a new approach using Purcell's *** can see that they are compatible with the geometrical characteristics of the porous media as well as the conditions governing the ***,another set of tests for oil water pairs of higher viscosity ratio up to 4.4 was performed in a low porosity heterogeneous porous media and the viscous coupling effect on capillary data,due to viscosity ratio,was studied to strengthen the model validation.

Effect of NiO-NiCr2O4 nano-oxides on the microstructural,mechanical and corrosion properties of Ni-coated carbon steel

Pure Ni and its composites with different percentages of Ni-Cr nano-oxides were coated over carbon steel to assess the coating features and mechanical and corrosion behavior.A nano-oxide composite of Ni-Cr was first synthesized through chemical coprecipitation with uniform distribution *** was employed to coat pure Ni and Ni-(Ni-Cr)oxides(10,20,30,40,and 50 g/L)on the steel *** electron microscope and field emission scanning electron microscope were adopted to examine the microstructure of powders and coatings,and X-ray diffraction analysis was employed to study the chemical *** microhardness,thickness,and wear resistance of the coatings were assessed,polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)tests were conducted to analyze the corrosion behavior,and the corresponding equivalent circuit was *** showed flawless and crack-free coatings for all samples and uniform distribution of nano-oxides in the Ni matrix for the samples of 10-30 g/*** oxides were detected at high *** microhardness(HV 661),thickness(116μm),and wear resistance of coatings were found at 30 g/L.A three-loop equivalent circuit corresponded satisfactorily to all EIS *** corrosion resistance increased with the nano-oxide concentration of up to 30 g/L but decreased at 40 g/*** sample of 50 g/L showed the best corrosion resistance.

Experimental investigation on the effect of surface characterization of electrodes on the gas bubble dynamics in electrolyte flow and performance of FLA batteries by using PIV

In the flooded lead_acid batteries(FLAB),gas bubbles are initially formed on the surface of the electrodes,which are produced by electrochemical reactions,and then released into the *** the present investigation,the effect of surface characterization of electrodes of FLAB on the gas bubble dynamic parameters in the electrolyte flow at different charging/discharging rates(C-rates)are studied utilizing particle image velocimetry(PIV)*** results show that the capacity of FLAB have a linear behavior due to changes in each of the two parameters of the surface characterization of electrodes and the *** all State of charges(SOCs)of FLAB cells in different tests,increasing average roughness(Ra)and average wavelength of the roughness(λa)in the electrode surfaces,results in an increase in average bubble diameter and bubble rising ***,a sharp decrease in the void fraction of bubbles within the electrolyte was observed due to the increment inλa and ***,the effect of the rising movement of gas bubbles within the electrolyte on the average electrolyte velocity pattern in the gap between the electrodes by changing the surface characterization of electrodes are investigated in detail.

The Size Effect of TiO<sub>2</sub>Anatase Nanoparticles on Photon Correlation Spectroscopy

In this work, the anataze phase of TiO2 nanoparticles was prepared by sol gel method. We changed time and temperature of calcinations to change size and property of nanoparticles. The Transmission Electron Microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy were used for characterization of the TiO2 nanoparticles. The nanoparticle size was increased with time and temperature. We found that the average size of samples was changed from 30 to 46 nm with changing temperature from 450℃ to 650℃ and at fixed temperature (450℃) with changing of calcination times from 1 to 3 hours, the size was changed from 30 to 58 nm. For study the dynamic of nanoparticles, the TiO2 nanoparticles were added to water with 2.4 weights present of particles to the water. The different size of TiO2 nanoparticles was studied with photon correlation spectroscopy. The relaxation time was increased with increasing of nanoparticle size and so diffusion coefficient was decreased.

Prevalence and Antibiotic Resistance of <i>Salmonella</i>spp. in Turkey

The current study was conducted to investigate the prevalence of Salmonella spp. in turkey and to determine the antimicrobial resistance pattern of the isolated Salmonellae. Two hundred and fifty turkeys were randomly selected for cloacal soab samples preparation, and the samples were investigated for Salmonella isolation. Identification of the isolated Salmonella was performed using standard bacteriological and biochemical procedures. The prevalence of Salmonella in turkey was about 14.8%. Disc diffusion tests on Muller-Hinton agar were used to determine the sensitivity to antibacterial agents. Ten antibiotics were studied: lincospectin, colistin, cephalexin, ciprofloxacin, chloramphenicol, gentamycin, furazolidone, streptomycin, co-trimoxazole (trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole) and tetracycline. The highest resistant was observed against cephalexin (89.2%), tetracycline (86.5%), colistin (83.8%), and furazolidone (73%). The Highest sensitivity was found to gentamycin (86.5%), ciprofloxacin (83.8%), chloramphenicol (51.4%) and streptomycin (40.6%). The results showed high prevalence of Salmonella spp. in turkey and high levels of antimicrobial resistance pattern of the isolated Salmonellae were observed.

Investigation through the most prevalent cause would help to prevent further *** To review the cases of medical complaints in orthopedic patients who had been involved in a traumatic *** A retrospective multi-center review of trauma orthopaedic-related malpractice lawsuits from 2010 to 2021 was conducted utilizing the regional medicolegal database. Defendant and plaintiff characteristics along with fracture location, allegations, and litigation outcomes were *** A total of 228 claims referred to trauma-related conditions with a mean age of 31.29 ± 12.56 were enrolled. The most common injuries were at hand, thigh, elbow, and forearm, ***, the most common alleged complication was related to malunion or nonunion. In 47% of the cases, the main problem that led to the complaint was the inappropriate or insufficient explanation to the patient, and in 53%, there was a problem in the surgery. Eventually, 76% of the complaints resulted in a defense verdict, and 24% resulted in a plaintiff *** Surgical treatment of hand injuries and surgery in non-educational hospitals received the most complaints. The majority of litigation outcomes were caused by a physician’s failure to fully explain and educate the traumatic orthopedic patients and technological errors.

Applying Indexing Method to Gas Pipeline Risk Assessment by Using GIS: A Case Study in Savadkooh, North of Iran

Gas pipelines are environmentally sensitive because they cross varied fields, rivers, forests, populated areas, desert, hills and offshore and also different parameters in gas transmission progresses are effective. Underground gas transmission pipelines have been grown as one of the low risk methods with low cost in the world specially in middle east and Europe. Physical and chemical properties of liquid gas, pipeline properties and also its environmental condition are the main factors of increasing the technical and environmental risk. In this article the quantitative risk assessment has been done by using GIS and overlaying the information layers. For this purpose, all effective risk factors were identified and projected. In order to achieve the same and comparable results, the entire pipeline route was divided into 500 meter intervals and the risk was calculated in each interval, finally the scores of these intervals such as each criterion risk was calculated. The case study of the article is Savadkooh to PoleSefid pipeline in Mazandaran.
