An Efficient Method for Covid-19 Detection Using Light Weight Convolutional Neural Network

The COVID-19 pandemic is a significant milestone in the modern history of civilization with a catastrophic effect on global wellbeing and *** situation is very complex as the COVID-19 test kits are limited,therefore,more diagnostic methods must be developed urgently.A significant initial step towards the successful diagnosis of the COVID-19 is the chest X-ray or Computed Tomography(CT),where any chest anomalies(e.g.,lung inflammation)can be easily *** hospitals possess X-ray or CT imaging equipments that can be used for early detection of *** by this,various artificial intelligence(AI)techniques have been developed to identify COVID-19 positive patients using the chest X-ray or CT ***,the advance of these AI-based systems and their highly tailored results are strongly bonded to high-end GPUs,which is not widely available in several *** paper introduces a technique for early COVID-19 diagnosis based on medical experience and light-weight Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),which does not require a custom hardware to run compared to currently available CNN *** proposed deep learning model is built carefully and fine-tuned by removing all unnecessary parameters and layers to achieve the light-weight attribute that could run smoothly on a normal CPU(0.54%of AlexNet parameters).This model is highly beneficial for countries where high-end GPUs are *** outcomes on some new benchmark datasets shows the robustness of the proposed technique robustness in recognizing COVID-19 with 96%accuracy.

Studies on the effects of pre-firing and sintering temperature on NSDC nanocomposite electrolytes

Solid oxide fuel cells（SOFCs） technology, with fuel flexibility, is one of the most promising power generation technology. however, the high operating temperature of SOFCs has hindered their commercial applications. As a crucial requirement to enhance its performance, SOFCs electrolytes should operate at a low temperature. Carbonate/ceria composites are developed as electrolytes for low operating temperature SOFCs, and a better understanding of the mechanism of its ionic conductivity serves this purpose. In this work, ceria-carbonate composite electrolyte, Na;CO;/samarium doped ceria（NSDC） were synthesized by the co-precipitation *** synthesized electrolytes were characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS）, and UV–Vis spectroscopy. The XRD and SEM results showed that the sintered NSDC nanocomposite comprised a single-phase dense electrolyte structure. The crystallite size of the NSDC nanocomposite was greatly affected by the different pre-firing temperatures and different sintering temperatures. Also, the ionic conductivity of the prepared NSDC nanocomposite electrolytes was strongly dependent on the pre-firing and sintering temperatures. The NSDC nanocomposite electrolytes were pre-fired at 950°C and650°C and sintered at 1200°C and 900°C respectively, had ionic conductivity in h;and air high as 0.36 S/cm and 0.3 S/cm.

Efficacy of Bladder Neck Incision (BNI) Versus Transurethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) in Management of Benign Prostatic hyperplasia (BPh) Causing Obstruction: A Randomised Controlled Study

Objective: To compare the efficacy of bladder neck incision (BNI) with transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) in the treatment of patients with urinary obstruction caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPh) on the basis of short term follow up of 4 months. Patient and Methods: The study was conducted in Department of General Surgery in Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. 60 men with proven clinical diagnosis of BPh of size 30 grams and less presenting with symptoms of bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) were randomised prospectively to undergo either of the two operative modalities. Preoperatively size of the prostate, symptom scoring (IPSS), peak flow rate (Qmax) were assessed. Postoperatively and during 4 months follow up the following data were collected—operative time, catheterisation period, hospital stay, blood loss, Qmax and IPSS. Results: Preoperative parameters in both the groups showed no statistically significant differences with respect to prostate size, Qmax and IPSS Scoring. At 4 months follow up Qmax increased from (6.35 ± 4.49) to (16.41 ± 2.28) in TURP group and (4.51 ± 3.57) to (15.95 ± 2.58) in BNI group. IPSS decreased from 18.70 to 5.7 in TURP group and 18.90 to 6.00 in BNI group. All differences were statistically significant. There was a statistically significant difference in operative time, blood loss, hospital stay, catheterisation timing favouring BNI. Conclusion: TURP and BNI are equally effective in providing symptomatic improvement. BNI has an upper hand in reference to operative time, hospital stay, duration of catheterisation and blood loss.

Operations and Actions of Lie Groups on Manifolds

As recounted in this paper, the idea of groups is one that has evolved from some very intuitive concepts. We can do binary operations like adding or multiplying two elements and also binary operations like taking the square root of an element (in this case the result is not always in the set). In this paper, we aim to find the operations and actions of Lie groups on manifolds. These actions can be applied to the matrix group and Bi-invariant forms of Lie groups and to generalize the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of differential operators on Rn. A Lie group is a group as well as differentiable manifold, with the property that the group operations are compatible with the smooth structure on which group manipulations, product and inverse, are distinct. It plays an extremely important role in the theory of fiber bundles and also finds vast applications in physics. It represents the best-developed theory of continuous symmetry of mathematical objects and structures, which makes them indispensable tools for many parts of contemporary mathematics, as well as for modern theoretical physics. here we did work flat out to represent the mathematical aspects of Lie groups on manifolds.

单纯超声引导下经股静脉封堵筛孔型房间隔缺损的疗效评价

目的介绍超声引导下经皮由股静脉入路应用多孔筛状房间隔封堵器(amplatzer cribriform occluder,ACO)及房间隔缺损封堵器(atrial septal defect occluder,ASDO)封堵筛孔型房间隔缺损(atrial septal defect,ASD)的经验,评估其可行性、有效性及安全性。方法回顾性分析我院 2015 年 12 月至 2018 年 5 月 48 例在超声引导下经股静脉封堵筛孔型 ASD 患者的临床资料,其中男 17 例、女 31 例,年龄 10 个月至51 岁,平均年龄(11.50±13.86)岁,体重 6~79(27.00±20.14)kg。48 例筛孔型 ASD 患者中 12 例为双孔型,13 例为房间隔膨胀瘤并缺损,23 例为多孔型 ASD。所有患者均在经胸超声心动图(transthoracic echocardiography,TTE)或经食管超声心动图(transesophageal echocardiography,TEE)引导下完成筛孔型 ASD 的封堵。术后次日复查超声、心电图及胸部 X 线片以评价疗效。结果 48 例筛孔型 ASD 患者共使用 49 枚封堵器,1 例置入 2 枚封堵器,其余置入 1 枚封堵器。ASDO 29 枚,ACO 20 枚,ASDO 大小为 8~26 mm,ACO 大小为 18~34 mm。术中 TTE/TEE 检查显示 48 例均完全封堵成功,13 例在释放推送杆前可见细束分流,释放推送杆后 9 例有细束分流,术后 24 h 复查 8 例有细束分流,1 年后复查 3 例微量分流。所有随访患者封堵器位置形态良好,右心不同程度缩小,胸部 X 线片显示肺血不同程度减少,术后心电图未见心律失常。结论单纯超声引导下经股静脉入路选用 ACO 及 ASDO 封堵筛孔型 ASD,是一种安全有效的方法。
