This research paper seeks to examine the possibilities of blockchain *** use in the field of restaurant food tracking and *** health risks and economic costs are at stake when foodborne illness outbreaks occur,making food safety a top priority in the food *** can be difficult to quickly identify and address possible concerns about using traditional food traceability systems due to inefficiencies,data discrepancies,and a lack of *** this study,we introduce a novel blockchain-based system developed especially for the purpose of tracking restaurant *** decentralised consensus,immutability,and smart contracts are put to use in this system to provide trustworthy and transparent traceable ***-time monitoring and data collection along the food supply chain become possible when the blockchain architecture is combined with the Internet of Things(IoT)devices and RFID *** show that our proposed blockchain-based traceability solution is practical and efficient through a thorough assessment and validation *** outcomes show that the system not only improves data quality and reliability but also drastically decreases the time and resources needed for food *** addition,patrons are more likely to return to eateries that place a premium on food safety when they are given more information about the establishment’s ***,we discuss scalability,data privacy,and interoperability concerns that may arise in future implementations and provide some initial ideas for overcoming these issues.

In this paper, we construct an SIR epidemic model with a modified Beddington–DeAngelis type incidence rate and saturated treatment rate. We modify the incidence rateto incorporate the isolation of infected individuals after detection, and separation of somesusceptible individuals from the rest to avoid the infection, without an increase in thenumber of classes. We find that the system has a unique disease-free equilibrium (DFE)which is locally asymptotically stable when the reproduction number is less than *** multiple endemic equilibria may exist irrespective of the basic reproduction *** existence of bistability is encountered. Supercritical transcritical (forward), as wellas subcritical transcritical (backward) bifurcation, may occur at R0 = 1 where contactrate, β = β∗ acts as the bifurcation parameter. Therefore, DFE need not be globallystable. The conditions for the existence of Andronov–Hopf bifurcation are deduced withmaximum treatment capacity, c = c0 as the bifurcation parameter. The impacts of isolation of confirmed infected cases and separation of some susceptible from rest are studiednumerically as well as the effect of saturation in treatment. The existence of chaoticbehavior is deduced by showing the maximum Lyapunov exponent to be positive as wellas the sensitivity to initial conditions. The computation of the Kalpan–Yorke dimensionto be fractional confirms the existence of fractal-type strange attractor. The positiveKolmogorov–Sinai entropy further strengthens the claim of the existence of chaos.

Gas chromatographic method for the determination of hexaconazole residues in black tea

A highly reliable, quantitative and sensitive analytical method for determining the residues of the fungicide, hexaconazole in black tea is described. The proposed method is based on liquid-liquid extraction followed by gas chromatographic determination, using nitrogen phosphorus detector (GC-NPD) for the identification and quantitation of hexaconazole. The most appropriate solvent mixture for extracting hexaconazole residues from black tea was n-hexane:acetone at 1:1 (v/v). The extract was cleaned up by adsorption column chromatography using activated florisil. Performance of the method was assessed by evaluating quality parameters such as recovery value, repeatability, reproducibility, linearity and limits of detection and quantitation. When the method was assessed for repeatability, the percentage of recovery ranged between 86% and 96% while the relative standard deviation was between 0.30% and 2.35%. In studies on reproducibility the recovery ranged from 81% to 85% and relative standard deviation from 1.68% to 5.13%, implying that the method was reliable. A field trial was conducted to verify the application of this method with real samples. Results prove that the validated method was suitable for extracting hexaconazole residues.

Flexibility in plug-in electric vehicle(PEV) charging can reduce the ancillary cost effects of wind variability and uncertainty on electric power systems. In this paper, we study these benefits of PEV charging, demonstrating that controlled PEV charging can reduce costs associated with wind uncertainty and variability. Interestingly, we show that the system does not require complete control of PEV-charging loads to mitigate the negative cost impacts of wind variability and uncertainty. Rather, PEV owners giving the system a two-hour window of flexibility in which to recharge their vehicles provides much of the benefits that giving full charging control does.

Copper and cobalt oxides supported on CeO2 were investigated for preferential oxidation of carbon monoxide(CO-PROX)in the presence of excess hydrogen and CO2.(Cuo)1-x(Co3 O4)x/3-(CeO2)2.5(x=0,0.25,0.50,0.75,0.85 and 1)catalysts were prepared by coprecipitation *** mixed oxide catalysts were characterized by several physicochemical techniques,such as BET surface area(SBET),X-ray diffraction(XRD),high resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM),temperature programmed reduction(TPR)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).XRD studies show the peaks related to CuO and Co3 O4 phases in copper and cobalt containing CeO2 *** average particle size of the CeO2 crystallites is in the range of 8-10 nm as evaluated from HRTEM *** studies demonstrate that Cu,Co and Ce in(cuO)1-x(Co3O4)x/3-(CeO2)2.5 catalysts are presented in+2 and+1,+3 and+2 and+4 and+3 oxidation states,*** catalyst with x=0.75 shows better activity and selectivity towards *** the catalyst with only copper(CuO-CeO2,x=0)shows good activity but reverse water gas shift(RWGS)reaction is noticed at high *** the other hand,RWGS reaction is suppressed on the cobalt containing CuO-ceO2 *** on CeO2 with x=1 shows hardly any activity for PRoX reaction at low *** methanation activity is observed on CuO-CeO2 or Co3O4-CeO2 *** contrast,combination of copper and cobalt on CeO2 shows methanation of CO where enhanced activity is observed with increasing in cobalt content.

Over the past couple of decades considerable progress has been made in the management of metastatic colorectal cancers(mCRC) leading to a significant improvement in five-year survival. Although part of this success has been rightly attributed to aggressive surgical management and advances in other adjunct treatments, our understanding of the pathogenesis of cancer and emergence of newer molecular targets for colon cancer has created a powerful impact. In this review article we will discuss various targeted therapies in the management of mCRC. Newer agents on the horizon soon to be incorporated in clinical practice will be briefly reviewed as well.

Wet Chemical Synthesis of Entangled Nano-fibrous Conducting Polyaniline(PANI) Mesh: Effect of Heating and Stirring

An effect of heating and stirring in a facile wet chemical route to synthesize entangled nanofibrous mesh of doped polyaniline(PANI) was reported. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of PANI nano-fibers were found to be dependent on synthesis temperature and stirring. The XRD analysis confirms nano PANI formation with 2θ peaks around 15°, 21°, and 25° for(011),(020), and(200) crystal planes, respectively. The average crystallite size varies between 25 nm to 60 nm due to change in synthesis conditions. The SEM analysis reveals the clustered granule formation for PANI sample synthesized at 28 and 60 ℃ under continuous stirring, whereas, unstirred synthesis at 60 ℃ shows entangled nano-fibrous mesh morphology. The TGA study shows better thermal stability for PANI mesh over granular PANI. The FTIR spectra validates the emeraldine salt PANI formation with peaks corresponding to C-H, C-N, N=Q=N, N=B=N, and N-H vibration bands. The UV-Vis analysis shows the major absorbance peaks around λ: 340 nm(π-π* transition of benzenoid ring), and λ: 800 nm(π-π*, polaron-π*, π-polaron transitions). The dense entangled nano-fibrous coating of PANI synthesized at 60 ℃ without stirring shows highest electrical conductivity of 3.79 S·cm^-1.
