Heat transport has been significantly enhanced by the widespread usage of extended surfaces in various engi-neering *** turbine blade cooling,refrigeration,and electronic equipment cooling are a few prevalent ***,the thermal analysis of extended surfaces has been the subject of a significant assessment by *** by this,the present study describes the unsteady thermal dispersal phenomena in a wavy fin with the presence of convection heat *** analysis also emphasizes a novel mathematical model in accordance with transient thermal change in a wavy profiled fin resulting from convection using the finite difference method(FDM)and physics informed neural network(PINN).The time and space-dependent governing partial differential equation(PDE)for the suggested heat problem has been translated into a dimensionless form using the relevant dimensionless *** graph depicts the effect of thermal parameters on the fin’s thermal *** temperature dispersion in the fin decreases as the dimensionless convection-conduction variable *** heat dispersion in the fin is decreased by increasing the aspect ratio,whereas the reverse behavior is seen with the time ***,FDM-PINN results are validated against the outcomes of the FDM.

Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs)models succeed in vast *** are available in a variety of topologies and *** challenge in this area is to develop the optimal CNN architecture for a particular issue in order to achieve high results by using minimal computational resources to train the *** proposed framework to automated design is aimed at resolving this *** proposed framework is focused on a genetic algorithm that develops a population of CNN models in order to find the architecture that is the best *** comparison to the co-authored work,our proposed framework is concerned with creating lightweight architectures with a limited number of parameters while retaining a high degree of validity accuracy utilizing an ensemble learning *** architecture is intended to operate on low-resource machines,rendering it ideal for implementation in a number of *** common benchmark image datasets are used to test the proposed framework,and it is compared to peer competitors’work utilizing a range of parameters,including accuracy,the number of model parameters used,the number of GPUs used,and the number of GPU days needed to complete the *** experimental findings demonstrated a significant advantage in terms of GPU days,accuracy,and the number of parameters in the discovered model.

This study examines the statistical properties required to model the dynamics of both the returns and volatility series of the daily stock market returns in six Gulf Cooperation Council countries,namely Bahrain,Oman,Kuwait,Qatar,Saudi Arabia,and the United Arab Emirates,under different financial and economic *** empiri-cal investigation is conducted using daily data from June 1,2005 to July 1,*** analysis is conducted using a set of double long-memory specifications with some significant features such as long-range dependencies,asymmetries in conditional variances,non-linearity,and multiple seasonality or time-varying *** study indicates that the joint dual long-memory process can adequately estimate long-memory dynamics in returns and *** in-sample diagnostic tests as well as out-of-sample forecasting results demonstrate the prevalence of the Autoregressive Fractionally Integrated Moving Average and Hyperbolic Asymmetric Power Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity modeling process over other competing models in fitting the first and the second conditional moments of the market ***,the empirical results show that the proposed model offers an interesting framework to describe the long-range dependence in returns and seasonal persistence to shocks in conditional volatility and strongly support the estimation of dynamic returns that allow for time-varying correlations.A noteworthy finding is that the long-memory dependencies in the conditional variance processes of stock market returns appear important,asymmetric,and differ in their volatility responses to unexpected *** evidence suggests that these markets are not completely efficient in processing regional news,thus providing a sound alternative for regional portfolio diversification.

Objective: To investigate the antibacterial effect of selected lactic acid bacteria(LAB)biofilms on the planktonic and biofilm population of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)(S547).Methods: In this study, biofilm-forming LAB were isolated from tairu and kefir. Isolate Y1 and isolate KF were selected based on their prominent inhibition against test pathogens(using spot-on-agar method and agar-well-diffusion assay) and efficient biofilm production(using tissue culture plate method). They were then identified as Lactobacillus casei(L. casei) Y1 and Lactobacillus plantarum(L. plantarum) KF, respectively using16 S r DNA gene sequencing. The influence of incubation time, temperature and aeration on the biofilm production of L. casei Y1 and L. plantarum KF was also investigated using tissue culture plate method. The inhibitory activity of both the selected LAB biofilms was evaluated against MRSA(Institute for Medical Research code: S547) using L. plantarum ATCC 8014 as the reference ***: L. casei Y1 showed the highest reduction of MRSA biofilms, by 3.53 log at48 h while L. plantarum KF records the highest reduction of 2.64 log at 36 h. In inhibiting planktonic population of MRSA(S547), both L. casei Y1 and L. plantarum KF biofilms recorded their maximum reduction of 4.13 log and 3.41 log at 24 h, respectively. Despite their inhibitory effects being time-dependent, both LAB biofilms exhibited good potential in controlling the biofilm and planktonic population of MRSA(S547).Conclusions: The results from this study could highlight the importance of analysing biofilms of LAB to enhance their antibacterial efficacy. Preferably, these protective biofilms of LAB could also be a better alternative to control the formation of biofilms by pathogens such as MRSA.

AIM： To evaluate the differences that exist bet- ween peripheral and mesenteric serum levels of carcinoembryonic antigen （CEA） and cytokeratins in patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma. METHODS： One hundred and thirty-eight patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma who underwent surgery at Hospital Sao Paulo （Discipline of Surgical Gastroenterology of UNIFESP-EPM） between December 1993 and March 2000 were retrospectively analyzed. Differences between CEA and cytokeratin （TPA-M） levels in peripheral blood （P） and in mesenteric blood （M） were studied. Associations were investigated between peripheral and mesenteric levels and the staging and histopathological variables （degree of cell differentiation, macroscopic appearance, tumor dimensions and presence of lymphatic and venous invasion）. RESULTS： Differences were observed in the numerical values of the marker levels： CEA （M）（39.10 mg/1 ± 121.19 mg/L） vs CEA （P）（38.5 mg/L ± 122.55 mg/L）, P 〈 0.05; TPA-M （M）（325.06 U/L ±527.29 U/L） vs TPA-M （P）（279.48 U/L ±455.81 U/L）, P 〈 0.01. The mesenteric CEA levels were higher in more advanced tumors （P 〈 0.01）, in vegetating lesions （34.44 mg/L ± 93.07 mg/L）（P 〈 0.01） and with venous invasion （48.41 mg/L ± 129.86 mg/L）（P 〈 0.05）. Peripheral CEA was higher with more advanced staging （P 〈 0.01）and in lesions with venous invasion （53.23 mg/L ± 258.57 mg/L）（P 〈 0.05）. The patients demonstrated increased mesenteric and peripheral TPA-M levels with more advanced tumors （P 〈 0.01 and P 〈 0.01） and in non-ulcerated lesions [530.45 U/L =1= 997.46 U/L （P 〈 0.05） and 457.95 U/L ± 811.36 U/L （P 〈 0.01）]. CONCLUSION： The mesenteric levels of the tumor markers CEA and cytokeratins were higher than the peripheral levels in these colorectal adenocarcinoma patients, Higher levels of these biologic tumor markers are associated with an advanced state of cancerous dissemination

The fast growing demands and increasing awareness for the environment, PV systems are being rapidly installed for numerous ***, one of the important challenges in utilizing a PV source is the maximum power harnessing using various maximum power point tracking techniques available. With the large number of MPPT techniques, each having some merits and demerits, confusion is always there for their proper selection. Discussion on various proposed procedures for maximum power point tracking of photovoltaic array has been done. Based on different parameters analysis of MPPT techniques is carried out. This assessment will serve as a suitable reference for selection, understanding different ways and means of MPPT.

Plants in their natural environment are constantly subjected to various abiotic and biotic stressors and,therefore,have developed several defense mechanisms to maintain *** responses are intricate and require various physiological,biochemical,and cellular changes in *** reaction mechanisms in plants subjected to drought,salinity,or heat stress alone have been explained in numerous ***,the field conditions are significantly different from the controlled laboratory *** the field,crops or plants are simultaneously exposed to two or more abiotic and/or biotic stress conditions,such as a combination of salinity and heat,drought and cold,or any of the abiotic stresses combined with pathogen *** have shown that plants’reactions to combinations of more than two stress factors are distinct and cannot be explicitly deduced from their responses to different stresses when applied ***,additional research is needed to understand the complete mechanism of plant responses to stress by analyzing data between single stress and multiple stress *** review aims to provide an overview of current research on plant responses to a combination of various stress conditions and their influence on the metabolic,transcriptional,and physiological characteristics of plants.
