Nuclear facility aging is.one of th. bigges. problems.encountered in nuclear engineering. Radiation damage is.among one of th. aging caus.s. Th.s.kind of damage is.an important factor of mech.nical properties.deterioration. Th. interes. of th.s.s.udy is.on th. Es.s.lam res.arch.reactor aluminum ves.el aging due to neutron radiation. Monte Carlo(MC) s.mulations.were performed by MCNP6 and s.IM codes.to es.imate th. defects.created by neutrons.in th. ves.el. MC s.mulations.by MCNP6 h.ve been performed to determine th. dis.ribution of neutron fluence and primary knock-on atom(PKA) creation. Cons.dering our boundary conditions.of th. calculations. th. h.lium and h.drogen gas.production in th. model at a normalized total neutron flux of 6.62×10^(12) n/cm^2 s.were determined to be 2.86 × 10~8 and 1.33 × 10~9 atoms.cm^3 s.res.ectively. Th. s.IM code was.us.d for th. s.mulation of defects.creation(vacancies. voids. in th. aluminum alloy of th. Es.s.lam ves.el(Es.l) by h.lium and h.drogen with.an approximate energy of 11 MeV *** coupling between th. two codes.is.bas.d upon pos.proces.ing of th. particle track(PTRAC) output file generated by th. MCNP6. A s.all program bas.d on th. Mat Lab language is.performed to condition th. output file MCNP6 in th. format of a s.IM input file. R134a, R290, R600, R404A, R407A, R407B, R407C, 407D, R410A, R410B, and R417A are cons.dered in th.s.s.udy. Th. th.rmal performances. wh.ch.are obtained with.R 134a and R290, are very clos. to th.s. of R22. Th. power cons.mptions.of th. unit operating with.R404A, R407C, and R410A are h.gh.r in th. range 22-31% with.res.ect of R22. For th. units.operating with.407A, R407B, R407D, R407E, and R410B, th. electric cons.mptions.are h.gh.r in th. range 10-23%. For R600, th. power cons.mptions.are in th. range 6-8%. For all th. fluids. th. COP is.lower by 7-24% th.n R22, except for R600 for wh.ch.th. COP is.h.gh.r by 7-9%, and R134a and R290 wh.ch.exh.bit th. s.me COP as.R22. Is.late Y1 and is.late KF were s.lected bas.d on th.ir prominent inh.bition agains. tes. path.gens.us.ng s.ot-on-agar meth.d and agar-well-diffus.on as.ay) and efficient biofilm production(us.ng tis.ue culture plate meth.d). Th.y were th.n identified as.Lactobacillus.cas.i(L. cas.i) Y1 and Lactobacillus.plantarum(L. plantarum) KF, res.ectively us.ng16 s.r DNA gene s.quencing. Th. influence of incubation time, temperature and aeration on th. biofilm production of L. cas.i Y1 and L. plantarum KF was.als. inves.igated us.ng tis.ue culture plate meth.d. Th. inh.bitory activity of both.th. s.lected LAB biofilms.was.evaluated agains. AIM To inves.igate and compare th. effects.of tocotrienol and omeprazole on gas.ric growth.factors.in rats.expos.d to water-immers.on res.raint s.res.(WIRs..METh.Ds.Twenty-eigh. male Wis.ar rats.were randomly as.igned to four groups.of s.ven rats. Th. two control groups.were adminis.ered vitamin-free palm oil(veh.cle) and th. two treatment groups.were given omeprazole(20 mg/kg) or tocotrienol(60 mg/kg) by oral gavage. After 28 d of treatment, rats.from one control group and both.treated groups.were s.bjected to WIRs.one time for 3.5 h. Gas.ric les.ons.were meas.red and gas.ric tis.ues.were obtained to meas.re vas.ular endoth.lial growth.factor(VEGF), epidermal growth.factor(EGF), bas.c fibroblas. growth.factor(b FGF), and trans.orming growth.factor-alph.(TGF-α) m RNA expres.ion. REs.LTs.Rats.expos.d to WIRs.for 3.5 h.demons.rated th. pres.nce of cons.derable ulcers.in th. form of gas.ric eros.on. Th. les.on index in th. s.res.ed control(s. group was.increas.d(P h. tocotrienol treated and omeprazole treated groups. s.res. led to a decreas. in gas.ric VEGF(P s.and caus.d an increas. in EGF m RNA(P h.t was.s.atis.ically s.gnificant compared to th. nons.res.ed control group. Alth.ugh.both.treatment agents.exerted s.milar ulcer reducing ability, only treatment with.tocotrienol led to increas.d expres.ion of VEGF(P = 0.008), b FGF(P = 0.001) and TGF-α(P = 0.002) m *** Tocotrienol provides.gas.roprotective effects.in WIRs.nduced ulcers. Compared to omeprazole, tocotrienol exerts.a s.milar protective effect, albeit th.ough.multiple mech.nis.s.of protection, particularly th.ough.up-regulation of growth.factors.th.t as.is. in repair of gas.ric tis.ue injuries.
