Local Criteria Used by Farmers to Evaluate the Agronomic Performance and the Fertilizing Capacity of Cowpea Varieties: Diversity, Variability and Proximal Relation with Agronomic Measurements in Contrasted sahelian Locations

When contributing to participatory research, farmers usually appreciate the performance of cowpea varieties using qualitative scores. The score they attribute to each variety are based on local knowledge. The specific criteria they individually use to attribute a score are not well described. The objectives of this work were to: 1) identify and describe exhaustively the local criteria used by farmers to measure the agronomic performance of cowpea;2) assess the variability and statistical structure of these farmer criteria across local contexts;3) and analyze the association between these farmer criteria and the classical agronomic measurement. To achieve these objectives, an augmented block design was implemented across fifteen locations in the regions of Maradi, Dosso and Tillabéri, representing a diversity of local contexts. From a set of 36 cowpea varieties, fifteen varieties were sown per location, including five varieties (controls) common to all locations. In each location, two replicates were sown in randomized Fisher’s blocks. After agronomic measurement and participatory evaluation (scoring of varieties by farmers), a group survey (focus group) was conducted in each location to identify the criteria considered by farmers to found their discretional scoring of varieties during the participatory evaluation. The analysis of the data identified, across locations, thirteen criteria defined by farmers to characterize the agronomic performance of cowpea. Some of these criteria were different according to location. Farmers ranked the three varieties with the best performance for each agronomical trait (Top 3 varieties). A comparison of the farmer ranking with the ranking based on agronomic measurements revealed similarity and complementary between both methods. This study highlighted the importance of considering both local and scientific knowledge in local varietal evaluations.

A new ternary compound,Mg_(11-x)Zn_(x)Sr in the Mg-Zn-Sr system was observed and studied using Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),Energy-Dispersive Spectroscope(EDS),X-Ray Diffraction(XRD)and Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM).The XRD patterns were refined by the Rietveld refinement method and the results revealed that the crystallized Mg_(11-x)Zn_(x)Sr phase belonged to tetragonal I41/amd space group and had the Cd_(11)ba *** Mg atoms were successfully doped into Zn_(11)Sr crystal lattice by occupying Zn atomic ***,the Rietveld refinement and computational results demonstrated a gradual decrease in the a-axis and c-axis lattice parameters with decreasing concentration levels of Mg coordination substitution in the lattice of Mg_(11-x)Zn_(x)Sr *** elastic constants and modulus of the Mg_(11-x)Zn_(x)Sr compounds calculated by first-principles calculations(FPC)indicated they were increased with the increasing of Zn *** variation of hardness,D-band widths and the total density of states for Mg_(11-x)Zn_(x)Sr compounds with Zn content was discussed.

Flexible and wearable electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding material is one of the current research focuses in the field of EMI *** this work,for the first time,WS_(2)-carbon fiber(WS_(2)-CF)composites are synthesized by implanting WS_(2),which has a multiphase structure and a large number of defects,onto the surface of carbon fiber(CF)by using a simple one-step hydrothermal method,and are applied to protect electronic devices from *** is found that the EMI shielding performance of WS_(2)-CF is significantly improved,especially for those at Se and *** 2 GHz,the EMI shielding efficiency could reach 36.0 dB at a typical thickness of 3.00 mm of the composite,which is much better than that of pure CF(25.5 dB).Besides paving a novel avenue to optimize the electromagnetic shielding performance of flexible and wearable CF-based EMI shielding materials,which have great potential in the practical application for EMI shielding,this work provides a new paradigm for the design and synthesis of EMI shielding materials which have a broad application prospect.

在印制电路板(PCB)上,如果有高速信号进行长距离传输,其传输会因损耗、反射、串扰等方式引起信号完整性(SI)问题,很大概率会造成信号失真,在各个接收端无法完全复原驱动端信号。伴随着当今互联网数据量的快速增加,路由器和交换机等高速率通信设备的研究和设计非常重要,其中的关键传输通道———高速串行链路成为主要技术实现难点。基于SI理论,依据CEI-25G-LR标准对100G以太网下高速串行链路的关键组成部分进行建模和优化,对单通道下的单对差分信号进行分级建模仿真,并进行整体链路级联优化,其传输性能满足协议要求。

We present major and trace element compositions of mineral concentrates comprising garnet xenocrysts,ilmenite,phlogopite,spinel,zircon,and uncommon minerals(titanite,calzirtite,anatase,baddeleyite and pyrochlore)of a newly discovered Late Cretaceous kimberlite(U-Pb zircon age 90.0±1.3 Ma;2σ)named Osvaldo Franca 1,located in the Alto Parana.ba.Igneous Province(APIP),southeastern *** grains are lherzolitic(Lherz-1,Lherz-2 and Lherz-3),harzburgitic(Harz-3)and wehrlitic(Wehr-2).The pyrope xenocrysts cover a wide mantle column in the subcratonic lithosphere(66–143 km;20–43 kbar)at relatively low temperatures(811–875°C).The shallowest part of this mantle is represented by Lherz-1 pyropes(20–32 kbar),which have low-Cr(Cr_(2)O_(3)=1.74–6.89 wt.%)and fractionated middle to heavy rare earth elements(MREE-HREE)*** deepest samples are represented by Lherz-2,Lherz-3,Harz-3,and Wehr-2 pyropes(36–43 kbar).They contain high-Cr contents(Cr_(2)O_(3)=7.36–11.19 wt.%)and are characterized by sinusoidal(Lherz-2 and Wehr-2)and spoon-like(Lherz-3 and Harz-3)REE *** to their REE and trace elements,pyrope xenocrysts have enriched nature(e.g.,Ce and Yb ***_(2)O_(3)),indicating that the cratonic lithosphere has been affected by a silicate melt with subalkaline/tholeiite composition due to their low Zr,Ti and Y *** minerals with typical kimberlitic signatures,such as ilmenite and zircon,the exotic compositions of phlogopite and ulvöspinel suggest an enriched component in the magma *** formation of rare mineral phases with strong enrichment of light-REE(LREE)and high field strength elements(HFSE)is attributed to the late-stage kimberlitic *** propose a tectonic model where a thermal anomaly,represented by the low-velocity seismic anomaly observed in P-wave seismic tomography images,supplied heat to activate the alkaline magmatism from a metasomatized cratonic mantle source during the late-stages of Gondwana fragmentation and conse

background： Metabolic profile was initially designed as a presymptomatic diagnostic aid based on statistical analyses of blood metabolites to provide an early warning of certain types of metabolic disorder. However, there is little metabolic profile data available about Korean Hanwoo cows. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the reference intervals of metabolic profile for Korean Hanwoo cows. Methods： Healthy animals （2,205） were selected and divided into early （day 1 to 95）, middle （day 96 to 190） and late （day 191 to 285） period according to their gestating period. Metabolic profile including total protein （TP）, albumin （AIb）, urea （UREA）, glucose （Glu）, total cholesterol （T-Cho）, long-chain fatty acid （LCFA）, aspartate aminotransferase （AST）, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase （GGT）, creatinine （Crea）, calcium （Ca）, inorganic phosphorous （iP） and magnesium （Mg） were analyzed using a Tba-4OFR automatic biochemical analyzer. The data of Korean Hanwoo cows were then compared to those of the Japanese Wagyu cows. Results： Most of the data of the Korean Hanwoo cows were relatively higher than those of Japanese Wagyu cows, with the exception of Glu and GGT. This may indicate that the nutritional level of feed for the Korean Hanwoo cows was higher than that of the Japanese Wagyu cows because of the different feeding system. In particular, relatively higher levels of UREA and LCFA were observed in the Korean Hanwoo cows, and this may also contribute to the low reproduction efficiency. Conclusions： These findings may provide some theoretical basis for understanding the reproductive and feeding situation of Korean Hanwoo cows.

针对由制造安装误差等不确定因素导致产品工作性能不确定的问题,提出基于混合区间可能度的产品结构不确定性设计方法。定义了一种混合区间可能度模型,给出基于混合区间可能度模型的区间优化问题转换框架。提出基于自适应策略和天牛须算子的双层嵌套布谷鸟算法,利用测试函数对比所提算法与基本布谷鸟算法(CS)、自适应布谷鸟算法(ACS)、改进布谷鸟算法(ICS)、动态布谷鸟算法(DCS)4种算法的寻优性能。在此基础上,以安全钳、十杆桁架及悬臂梁3个工程实际设计问题为例,验证了所提出方法的可行性与有效性。

目的研究三七皂苷有效组分中人参皂苷Rg1、人参皂苷Rb1、三七皂苷R1在大鼠外翻肠囊模型中的吸收特性及其与P-糖蛋白(P-gp)的相互作用。方法采用HPLC法,建立三七皂苷有效组分中人参皂苷Rg1、人参皂苷Rb1、三七皂苷R1在肠液中含量测定方法。采用大鼠外翻肠囊模型,考察不同时间、不同浓度及不同转运方向对三七皂苷有效组分中人参皂苷Rg1、人参皂苷Rb1、三七皂苷R1大鼠小肠吸收和转运的影响,并考察三七皂苷有效组分与P-gp抑制剂维拉帕米(Ver)合用前后,大鼠肠囊内人参皂苷Rg1、人参皂苷Rb1、三七皂苷R1吸收量的变化。分别设空白组、Ver阳性对照组、三七皂苷有效组分高、中、低浓度组,考察三七皂苷有效组分对P-gp底物罗丹明-123(Rho123)转运的影响。结果三七皂苷有效组分中人参皂苷Rg1、人参皂苷Rb1、三七皂苷R1在不同时间及不同浓度条件下,对大鼠小肠的吸收和转运均为线性吸收,其回归系数r>0.9,均符合零级吸收速率。三七皂苷有效组分小肠吸收转运明显受到转运方向的影响,浆膜面至黏膜面B-A的转运量明显高于黏膜面至浆膜面A-B。三七皂苷有效组分与Ver合用后,人参皂苷Rg1、人参皂苷Rb1、三七皂苷R1在大鼠小肠中的吸收量显著增加(P<0.05)。三七皂苷有效组分可使P-gp底物Rho123转运量增加,与空白组比较有显著性差异(P<0.05),尤其以三七皂苷有效组分高浓度组最为显著,与Ver阳性对照组比较有显著性差异(P<0.01)。结论三七皂苷有效组分中人参皂苷Rg1、人参皂苷Rb1、三七皂苷R1在大鼠小肠的吸收和转运均为线性吸收,可认为在大鼠小肠吸收机制为被动转运机制,并具有明显的P-gp底物转运特性及抑制P-gp底物外排作用。

Objective: To explore the effects of combined application of culture supernatant of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) and ciprofloxacin on Staphylococcus aureus (sa) in vitro. Methods: hUCMSCs were isolated from umbilical cord tissues of full-term healthy fetuses after cesarean section and then cultured. Cells in the third passage were chosen for the use of experiment after identification. sa strains isolated from wounds of burn patients in our burn wards were used in the following experiment. Cells were divided into 0, 10, 100 and 1,000 ng/ml lipopolysaccharide (LPS) groups by use of the random number table (similarly hereinafter). Cells were cultured with culture medium containing mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) after being treated with medium containing corresponding mass concen-trations of LPS for 12 h. At post culture hour (PCH) 6, 12 and 24, 6 wells of culture supernatant of cells in each group were obtained to measure the content of LL-37 with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELIsa). Ninety blood agar culture plates were divided into ciprofloxacin control group (CC), ciprofloxacin + supernatant group (CS), and ciprofloxacin + supernatant+ LL-37 antibody group (CSL), with 30 blood agar culture plates in each group. Blood agar culture plates in group CC were coated with 1.5 × 108 colony forming unit (CFU)/ml bacteria solution prepared with normal saline. Blood agar culture plates in group CS were coated with 1.5 × 108 CFU/ml bacteria solution prepared with normal saline and hUCMSC culture supernatant (cultured by MSC culture medium, the same below) in double volume of normal saline. Blood agar culture plates in group CSL were coated with 1.5 × 108 CFU/ml bacteria solution prepared with normal saline, hUCMSC culture supernatant in double volume of normal saline, and 2.6 μL of LL-37 antibodies at the concentration of 2 μg/ml.
