Certain inclusions in high-strength 60Si2Mn-Cr spring steel result in poor resistance to localized corrosion.In this work,to study the effect of inclusions on the localized corrosion behavior of spring steel,accelerated corrosion tests were performed by immersing spring steel in 3wt%FeCl_(3)solution for different times.The results show that severe corrosion occurred in areas of clustered CaS inclusions.Sulfide inclusions containing Ca and Mg induced the strongest localized corrosion susceptibility.For the case of(Ca,Mn,Mg)S inclusions,the ability to induce localized corrosion susceptibility is ranked as follows:MgS>CaS>MnS.Moreover,CaS,(Ca,Mn)S,and(Ca,Mn,Mg)S inclusions were mainly responsible for inducing environmental embrittlement.

Objective:To study the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy(OIPN)in rats.Methods:Male Sprague-Dawley rats were equally divided into 3 groups using a random number table:the control group,the OIRN group,and the EA(OIPN+EA)group,with 10 rats in each.The time courses of mechanical,cold sensitivity,and microcirculation blood flow intensity were determined.The morphology of the dorsal root ganglion(DRG)was observed by electron microscopic examination.The protein levels of nuclear factor E2-related factor 2(Nrf2),heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),and the transient receptor potential(TRP)protein family in DRGs were assayed by Western blot.Results:EA treatment significantly reduced mechanical allodynia and cold allodynia in OIPN rats(P<0.01).Notably,oxaliplatin treatment resulted in impaired microcirculatory blood flow and pathomorphological defects in DRGs(P<0.01).EA treatment increased the microcirculation blood flow and attenuated the pathological changes induced by oxaliplatin(P<0.01).In addition,the expression levels of Nrf2 and HO-1 were down-regulated,and the TRP protein family was over-expressed in the DRGs of OIPN rats(P<0.01).EA increased the expression levels of Nrf2 and HO-1 and decreased the level of TRP protein family in DRG(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:EA may be a potential alternative therapy for OIPN,and its mechanism may be mainly mediated by restoring the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway.

β-Galactosidase,a glycoside hydrolase enzyme,has been proved to be an important biomarker of cell senescence and primary ovarian cancer.Effective detection of β-galactosidase has attracted wide attention.Herein,one ratiometric fluorescent probe has been successfully synthesized for detecting the β-galactosidase in living cells.The as-prepared probe exhibits two emission peaks at 490 nm and 530 nm,respectively,and the ratio of fluorescence intensities from the two emission peaks could be utilized to monitor the β-galactosidase.This present ratiometric fluorescent probe is,therefore,very promising for effective,sensitive,and selective detection of the β-galactosidase in living cells.

Coastal ecosystems are highly susceptible to salt-related problems due to their formation process and geographical location. As such ecosystems are the most accessible land resources on Earth, clarifying and quantifying the effects of salt-alkali conditions on N concentration and ammonia(NH_(3)) volatilization are pivotal for promoting coastal agricultural productivity. The challenge in establishing this effect is to determine how salt-alkali conditions impact NH_(3) volatilization through direct or indirect interactions. An incubation experiment using a coastal soil from a paddy farmland, combined with the structural equation modeling(SEM) method, was conducted to reveal the net effects of salt-alkali on NH_(3) volatilization and the role of environmental and microbial factors in mutual interaction networks. The specific experimental design consisted of four salt treatments(S1, S2, S3, and S4: 1‰, 3‰, 8‰, and 15‰ NaCl by mass of soil, respectively), four alkaline treatments(A1, A2, A3, and A4: 0.5‰, 1‰, 3‰, and 8‰ NaHCO_(3)by mass of soil, respectively) and a control without NaCl or NaHCO_(3) addition(CK), and each treatment had three urea concentrations(N1, N2, and N3: 0.05, 0.10, and 0.15 g N kg^(-1) soil,respectively) and three replicates. At the N1, N2, and N3 levels, NH_(3)volatilization increased by 9.31%–34.98%, 3.07%–26.92%, and 2.99%–43.61% as the NaCl concentration increased from 1‰ to 15‰, respectively, compared with CK. With an increase in the NaHCO_(3)concentration from 0.5‰ to 8‰, NH_(3) volatilization increased by 8.36%–56.46%, 5.49%–30.10%, and 30.72%–73.18% at the N1, N2, and N3 levels, respectively, compared with CK. According to the SEM method, salinity and alkalinity had positive direct effects on NH_(3)volatilization, with standardized path coefficients of 0.40 and 0.19, respectively.Considering the total effects(net positive and negative effects) in the SEM results, alkalinity had a greater influence than salinity(total standardized coefficient0.104 > 0.086). The microstructural characteristics including optical texture, porosity and pore structure and chemical structure of stamp-charged coke (SCC) and gravity-charged coke (GCC) with similar conventional macro-indicators were investigated, and the properties including micro-strength, reactivity of coke matrix and that after alkali enrichment were comparatively studied by various characterization methods. The anisotropic structure of SCC is composed of high content of fine mosaic texture, while the content of medium mosaic texture, coarse texture and fibrous texture is low. The statistical average shows that the fine mosaic average of SCC (24.89%) is 3.78 times the GCC average (6.58%), and the coarse mosaic average (1.24%) is only about 1/3 of the GCC average (3.43%). The porosity of SCC is lower than that of GCC, but tamping process does not lead to the fact that the number of closed pores of SCC is significantly lower than that of GCC. Although the structure of SCC is compact, its pore number is large and the pore wall is thin. Pores of coke with diameter less than 150 nm seem unaffected by tamping process. The aromatic structure of SCC was less ordered than that of GCC, which was speculated to be related to the addition of more low metamorphic coal in coking. The microscopic strength and structural strength of SCC are lower than those of GCC. The reactivity of coke matrix is affected by the specific surface area, but it is not the determining factor of its macro-reactivity. The improvement in dissolution reactivity of coke after potassium enrichment is independent of coke type.

Intracellular Ca2+ is vital for cell physiology.Disruption of Ca2+ homeostasis contributes to human diseases such as heart failure,neuron-degeneration,and diabetes.To ensure an effective intracellular Ca2+ dynamics,various Ca2+ transport proteins localized in different cellular regions have to work in coordination.The central role of mitochondrial Ca2+ transport mechanisms in responding to physiological Ca2+ pulses in cytosol is to take up Ca2+ for regulating energy production and shaping the amplitude and duration of Ca2+ transients in various micro-domains.Since the discovery that isolated mitochondria can take up large quantities of Ca2+ approximately 5 decades ago,extensive studies have been focused on the functional characterization and implication of ion channels that dictate Ca2+ transport across the inner mitochondrial membrane.The mitochondrial Ca2+ uptake sensitive to non-specific inhibitors ruthenium red and Ru360 has long been considered as the activity of mitochondrial Ca2+ uniporter(MCU) .The general consensus is that MCU is dominantly or exclusively responsible for the mitochondrial Ca2+ influx.Since multiple Ca2+ influx mechanisms(e.g.L-,T-,and N-type Ca2+ channel) have their unique functions in the plasma membrane,it is plausible that mitochondrial inner membrane has more than just MCU to decode complex intracellular Ca2+ signaling in various cell types.During the last decade,four molecular identities related to mitochondrial Ca2+ influx mechanisms have been identified.These are mitochondrial ryanodine receptor,mitochondrial uncoupling proteins,LETM1(Ca2+ /H+ exchanger) ,and MCU and its Ca2+ sensing regulatory subunit MICU1.Here,we briefly review recent progress in these and other reported mitochondrial Ca2+ influx pathways and their differences in kinetics,Ca2+ dependence,and pharmacological characteristics.Their potential physiological and pathological implications are also discussed.

Fuzzy C-means clustering （FCM） algorithm is good at solving the ambiguities and uncertainties in the image, and the modified FCM has been widely used in solving the intensity inhomogeneity problem. Bias-corrected FCM （BCFCM） is very useful for noise and intensity inhomogeneity image segmentation, but it can’t estimate accurately the pixels on the boundary especially in the regions with heavy level of intensity inhomogeneous. In this paper, we present a novel algorithm for brain magnetic resonance imaging （MRI） Image segmentation and intensity inhomogeneity estimation based on BCFCM. The proposed algorithm introduces the global intensity information into the algorithm BCFCM, for the smooth bias field estimation and more accurate segmentations. The proposed method has been successfully applied to MR brain images, and experiment results show that this method is superior to FCM, BCFCM and some other approaches.

Clinical brain MR images usually contain noise and bias field （BF）, which make the brain tissue segmentations difficult. Most of the current segmentation methods only focus on one unfavorable factor. The Coherent local intensity clustering algorithm （CLIC） algorithm proposed recently is good at dealing with the BF problem in images, but it has a poor anti-noise ability, for it doesn’t consider non-local spatial constraint. In this paper, taking care of all these unfavorable factors simultaneously, we introduce the non-local spatial constraint into CLIC algorithm for brain MR image segmentations. Therefore, the proposed algorithm drives by both the coherent local and non-local spatial constraints. The coherent local information ensures the smoothness of the bias field estimation and the non-local spatial information reduces the noise effect during the segmentation. The proposed method has been successfully applied to brain MR images, and experiment results show that this method has stronger anti-noise property, smoother bias field estimation and higher segmentation precision than other reported fuzzy clustering algorithms.

石墨烯由于独特的结构和优异的力学、导电、润滑等性能,被认为是理想的金属基复合材料的增强体。将石墨烯作为增强体增强钛基复合材料有着巨大的应用潜力。然而,石墨烯的分散性及其与钛基体的反应是制约获得高性能石墨烯增强钛基复合材料的难点。本文综述了钛基石墨烯复合材料的分散性、界面及力学性能的研究进展。钛基石墨烯复合材料通常采用粉末冶金法制备,石墨烯能较均匀地分散于复合材料组织中,但当石墨烯添加量过多时仍会出现团聚现象。石墨烯与钛基体易发生反应生成TiC,通过固化烧结工艺的改进、基体复合化、石墨烯表面改性以及原位自生等方法可以有效地抑制界面反应并提高界面结合力。随着石墨烯含量的增加,钛基石墨烯复合材料的压缩、拉伸强度与硬度一般呈现先增大后减小的趋势。石墨烯增强钛基复合材料的强化机制通常以载荷传递强化为主,但有些情况下由石墨烯引起的位错强化、细晶强化及奥罗万(Orowan)强化效果也较为显著。
