Single-cell profiling of the pig cecum at various developmental stages

The gastrointestinal tract is essential for food digestion,nutrient absorption,waste elimination,and microbial ***-cell transcriptome profiling of the intestinal tract has greatly enriched our understanding of cellular diversity,functional heterogeneity,and their importance in intestinal tract development and *** such profiling has been extensively conducted in humans and mice,the single-cell gene expression landscape of the pig cecum remains ***,single-cell RNA sequencing was performed on 45572 cells obtained from seven cecal samples in pigs at four different developmental stages(days(D)30,42,150,and 730).Analysis revealed 12 major cell types and 38 subtypes,as well as their distinctive genes,transcription factors,and regulons,many of which were conserved in *** increase in the relative proportions of CD8^(+)T and Granzyme A(low expression)natural killer T cells(GZMA^(low)NKT)cells and a decrease in the relative proportions of epithelial stem cells,Tregs,RHEX^(+)T cells,and plasmacytoid dendritic cells(pDCs)were noted across the developmental ***,the post-weaning period exhibited an up-regulation in mitochondrial genes,COX2 and ND2,as well as genes involved in immune activation in multiple cell ***-cell crosstalk analysis indicated that IBP6^(+)fibroblasts were the main signal senders at D30,whereas IBP6^(−)fibroblasts assumed this role at the other *** cells established interactions with epithelial cells and IBP6^(+)fibroblasts in the D730 cecum through mediation of GZMA-F2RL1/F2RL2 *** study provides valuable insights into cellular heterogeneity and function in the pig cecum at different development stages.

Security-Reliability Tradeoff Analysis for Jamming Aided Decode-and-Forward Relay Networks

In this paper,we explore a cooperative decode-and-forward(DF)relay network comprised of a source,a relay,and a destination in the presence of an *** improve physical-layer security of the relay system,we propose a jamming aided decodeand-forward relay(JDFR)scheme combining the use of artificial noise and DF relaying which requires two stages to transmit a ***,in stage one,the source sends confidential message to the relay while the destination acts as a friendly jammer and transmits artificial noise to confound the *** stage two,the relay forwards its re-encoded message to the destination while the source emits artificial noise to confuse the *** addition,we analyze the security-reliability tradeoff(SRT)performance of the proposed JDFR scheme,where security and reliability are evaluated by deriving intercept probability(IP)and outage probability(OP),*** the purpose of comparison,SRT of the traditional decode-and-forward relay(TDFR)scheme is also *** results show that the SRT performance of the proposed JDFR scheme is better than that of the TDFR ***,it is shown that for the JDFR scheme,a better SRT performance can be obtained by the optimal power allocation(OPA)between the friendly jammer and user.

Sum-Rate Maximization in Active RIS-Assisted Multi-Antenna WPCN

In this paper,we propose an active reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)enabled hybrid relaying scheme for a multi-antenna wireless powered communication network(WPCN),where the active RIS is employed to assist both wireless energy transfer(WET)from the power station(PS)to energyconstrained users and wireless information transmission(WIT)from users to the receiving station(RS).For further performance enhancement,we propose to employ both transmit beamforming at the PS and receive beamforming at the *** formulate a sumrate maximization problem by jointly optimizing the RIS phase shifts and amplitude reflection coefficients for both the WET and the WIT,transmit and receive beamforming vectors,and network resource *** solve this non-convex problem,we propose an efficient alternating optimization algorithm with the linear minimum mean squared error criterion,semidefinite relaxation(SDR)and successive convex approximation ***,the tightness of applying the SDR is *** results demonstrate that our proposed scheme with 10 reflecting elements(REs)and 4 antennas can achieve 17.78%and 415.48%performance gains compared to the single-antenna scheme with 10 REs and passive RIS scheme with 100 REs,respectively.

Hybrid Power-line/Visible-light Communication(HPVC)network has been one of the most promising Cooperative Communication(CC)technologies for constructing Smart Home due to its superior communication reliability and hardware *** research on HPVC networks focuses on the performance analysis and optimization of the Physical(PHY)layer,where the Power Line Communication(PLC)component only serves as the backbone to provide power to light Emitting Diode(LED)*** designing a Media Access Control(MAC)protocol remains a great challenge because it allows both PLC and Visible Light Communication(VLC)components to operate data transmission,i.e.,to achieve a true HPVC network *** solve this problem,we propose a new HPC network MAC protocol(HPVC MAC)based on Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance(CSMA/CA)by combining IEEE 802.15.7 and IEEE 1901 ***,we add an Additional Assistance(AA)layer to provide the channel selection strategies for sensor stations,so that they can complete data transmission on the selected channel via the specified CSMA/CA mechanism,*** on this,we give a detailed working principle of the HPVC MAC,followed by the construction of a joint analytical model for mathematicalmathematical validation of the HPVC *** the modeling process,the impacts of PHY layer settings(including channel fading types and additive noise feature),CSMA/CA mechanisms of 802.15.7 and 1901,and practical configurations(such as traffic rate,transit buffer size)are comprehensively taken into ***,we prove the proposed analytical model has the ***,through extensive simulations,we characterize the HPVC MAC performance under different system parameters and verify the correctness of the corresponding analytical model with an average error rate of 4.62%between the simulation and analytical results.

RPPK modulation with high data rates

With the development of communication technology, the precious frequency spectrum is becoming more and more crowded. Exploiting the particular filter with zero group delay, ultra narrow band (UNB) modulation is intended for acquiring the high frequency efficiency. Unfortunately, this UNB filter is confronted with great challenges from the classical communication theories. The validation on its realization is also difficult. This paper proposes a novel UNB modulation, namely random pulse position keying (RPPK). It is demonstrated from analysis that there is no inessential discrete spectral line in modulated signal’s power density spectrum (PDS), and the UNB filter has been successfully avoided. Consequently, RPPK is rather explicit in theory and simple in implementation. As is shown by the simulation, the frequency utilization of RPPK can even reach 100 bits/s/Hz. Its optimum receiving performance is slightly inferior to BPSK, yet is much superior to that of other UNB modulations such as VMSK/2. Moreover, multi-access and confidentiality are additional benefits to UNB users.

Porta hepatis tuberculous lymphadenopathy(TL)is rare,and the clinical and imaging manifestations often mimic *** offer a bet-ter understanding of porta hepatis TL and thus improve its diagnosis and treatment,here,we retrospectively reviewed and analyzed 10 porta hepatis TL cases between May 2017 and November *** this study,porta hepatis TL occurred predominantly in women(70%),with a mean age of 43.1 years(range,16-70 years).Among the patients,60%were initially suspected of malignancy(metastatic lymphadenopathy and lymphoma).The clinical manifestations were nonspecific,such as fever and weight loss,without overt abdominal *** patients showed high concentrations of serum C-reactive protein,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,alkaline phosphatase,γ-glutamyl transpeptidase and carbohydrate antigen *** rim-like enhancement was a characteristic finding on contrast-enhanced CT for all the *** examination confirmed the diagnosis in 90%of patients with caseous granulo-matous inflammation and positive results of Xpert MTB/RIF,quantitative real-time PCR and/or metagenomic next-generation sequenc-ing *** patients underwent antituberculosis therapy with a median treatment duration of 13.5 months(range,1-43 months).They all showed satisfactory therapeutic responses with improved symptoms and resolution on imaging after *** examination by biopsy remains the primary diagnostic method.A combination of the characteristic epidemiologic,clinical,imaging fea-tures and lesion biopsy for histopathology are essential for the diagnosis and treatment of TL.

2D DOA Estimation of Coherent Signals with a Separated Linear Acoustic Vector-Sensor Array

In this paper, a two-dimensional(2D) DOA estimation algorithm of coherent signals with a separated linear acoustic vector-sensor(AVS) array consisting of two sparse AVS arrays is proposed. Firstly,the partitioned spatial smoothing(PSS) technique is used to construct a block covariance matrix, so as to decorrelate the coherency of signals. Then a signal subspace can be obtained by singular value decomposition(SVD) of the covariance matrix. Using the signal subspace, two extended signal subspaces are constructed to compensate aperture loss caused by *** elevation angles can be estimated by estimation of signal parameter via rotational invariance techniques(ESPRIT) algorithm. At last, the estimated elevation angles can be used to estimate automatically paired azimuth angles. Compared with some other ESPRIT algorithms, the proposed algorithm shows higher estimation accuracy, which can be proved through the simulation results.

Meta-Auto-Decoder:a Meta-Learning-Based Reduced Order Model for Solving Parametric Partial Differential Equations

Many important problems in science and engineering require solving the so-called parametric partial differential equations(PDEs),i.e.,PDEs with different physical parameters,boundary conditions,shapes of computational domains,*** reduced order modeling techniques accelerate the solution of the parametric PDEs by projecting them onto a linear trial manifold constructed in the ofline *** methods often need a predefined mesh as well as a series of precomputed solution snapshots,and may struggle to balance between the efficiency and accuracy due to the limitation of the linear *** the nonlinear representation of neural networks(NNs),we propose the Meta-Auto-Decoder(MAD)to construct a nonlinear trial manifold,whose best possible performance is measured theoretically by the decoder *** on the meta-learning concept,the trial manifold can be learned in a mesh-free and unsupervised way during the pre-training *** adaptation to new(possibly heterogeneous)PDE parameters is enabled by searching on this trial manifold,and optionally fine-tuning the trial manifold at the same *** numerical experiments show that the MAD method exhibits a faster convergence speed without losing the accuracy than other deep learning-based methods.

Resource Allocation in Multi-User Cellular Networks:A Transformer-Based Deep Reinforcement Learning Approach

To meet the communication services with diverse requirements,dynamic resource allocation has shown increasing *** this paper,we consider the multi-slot and multi-user resource allocation(MSMU-RA)in a downlink cellular scenario with the aim of maximizing system spectral efficiency while guaranteeing user *** first model the MSMURA problem as a dual-sequence decision-making process,and then solve it by a novel Transformerbased deep reinforcement learning(TDRL)***,the proposed TDRL approach can be achieved based on two aspects:1)To adapt to the dynamic wireless environment,the proximal policy optimization(PPO)algorithm is used to optimize the multi-slot RA strategy.2)To avoid co-channel interference,the Transformer-based PPO algorithm is presented to obtain the optimal multi-user RA scheme by exploring the mapping between user sequence and resource *** results show that:i)the proposed approach outperforms both the traditional and DRL methods in spectral efficiency and user fairness,ii)the proposed algorithm is superior to DRL approaches in terms of convergence speed and generalization performance.
