We analyze the frequencies of three known roAp stars,TIC 96315731,TIC 72392575,and TIC 318007796,using the light curves from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey *** TIC 96315731,the rotational and pulsational frequencies are 0.1498360 day^(-1)and 165.2609 day^(-1),*** the case of TIC 72392575,the rotational frequency is 0.25551 day^(-1).We detect a quintuplet of pulsation frequencies with a center frequency of135.9233 day^(-1),along with two signals within the second pair of rotational sidelobes of the quintuplet separated by the rotation *** two signals may correspond to the frequencies of a dipole *** TIC318007796,the rotational and pulsational frequencies are 0.2475021 day^(-1),192.73995 day^(-1),and196.33065 day^(-1),*** on the oblique pulsator model,we calculate the rotation inclination(i)and magnetic obliquity angle(b)for the stars,which provide the geometry of the pulsation *** the phases of the frequency quintuplets,the pulsation amplitude and phase modulation curves,and the results of spherical harmonic decomposition,we conclude that the pulsation modes of frequency quintuplets in TIC96315731,TIC 72392575,and TIC 318007796 correspond to distorted dipole mode,distorted quadrupole mode,and distorted dipole mode,respectively.

Background: Pancreatic fistula after distal pancreatectomy is a common and potentially lethal complication. The optimal closure method for the pancreatic remnant during minimally invasive distal pancreatectomy (MDP) remains ***: Data of consecutive patients who underwent MDP in our institution between July 2018 and june 2021 were collected. The outcomes of MDP with stapler and hand-sewn closure were compared. The primary outcome was clinically relevant postoperative pancreatic fistula (CR-POPF) per the International Study Group of Pancreatic Surgery ***: Of the 384 patients (stapler closure, 339; hand-sewn closure, 45) enrolled, 249 developed CR-POPF (grades B and C: 242 and 7 patients, respectively). The rates of grade B and grade C POPF in the stapler group were similar to the corresponding rates in the hand-sewn group (64.6% and 1.5% vs 51.1% and 4.4%,P = .078 andP = .223, respectively). No differences between the stapler and hand-sewn groups were observed regarding the median operation time (207 vs 222 minutes,P = .139), incidence of major complications (16.5% vs 20.0%,P = .559), and mortality (0.2% vs 0%,P = 1.000). The independent risk factors of CR-POPF were abdominal abscess, prolonged operation time, and transection site (P = .004, .006, and .001, respectively).Conclusion: The incidence and severity of CR-POPF by stapler closure of the pancreatic stump were comparable to those associated with hand-sewn closure in MDP in this retrospective cohort. Randomized controlled trials are needed to verify this finding.

Recently, with the emergence of ChatGPT, the field of artificial intelligence has garnered widespread attention from various sectors of society. Reservoir Computing (RC) is a neuromorphic computing algorithm used to analyze time-series data. Unlike traditional artificial neural networks that require the weight values of all nodes in the trained network, RC only needs to train the readout layer. This makes the training process faster and more efficient, and it has been used in various applications, including speech recognition, image classification, and control systems. Its flexibility and efficiency make it a popular choice for processing large amounts of complex data. A recent research trend is to develop physical RC, which utilizes the nonlinear dynamic and short-term memory properties of physical systems (photonic modules, spintronic devices, memristors, etc.) to construct a fixed random neural network structure for processing input data to reduce computing time and energy. In this paper, we introduced the recent development of memristors and demonstrated the remarkable data processing capability of RC systems based on memristors. Not only do they possess excellent data processing ability comparable to digital RC systems, but they also have lower energy consumption and greater robustness. Finally, we discussed the development prospects and challenges faced by memristors-based RC systems.

Electrochemical production of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))via the two-electron(2e-)pathway of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)supplies an auspicious alternative to the current industrial anthraquinone ***,it still lacks efficient electrocatalysts to achieve high ORR activity together with 2e-selectivity ***,a boron-doped defective nanocarbon(B-DC)electrocatalyst is synthesized by using fullerene frameworks as the precursor and boric oxide as the boron *** obtained B-DC materials have a hierarchical porous structure,befitting boron dopants,and abundant topological pentagon defects,exhibiting a high ORR onset potential of 0.78 V and a dominated 2e-selectivity(over 95%).Remarkably,when B-DC electrocatalyst is employed in a real device,it achieves a high H_(2)O_(2) yield rate(247 mg·L^(-1)·h^(-1)),quantitative Faraday efficiency(~100%),and ultrafast organic pollutant degradation *** theoretical calculation reveals that the synergistic effect of topological pentagon defects and the incorporation of boron dopants promote the activation of the O_(2) molecule and facilitates the desorption of oxygen *** finding will be very helpful for the comprehension of the synergistic effect of topological defects and heteroatom dopants for boosting the electrocatalytic performance of nanocarbon toward H_(2)O_(2) production.

In 2022,a global outbreak of Mpox(formerly monkeypox)occurred in various countries across Europe and America and rapidly spread to more than 100 countries and *** World Health Organization declared the outbreak to be a public health emergency of international concern due to the rapid spread of the Mpox ***,nations intensified their efforts to explore treatment strategies aimed at combating the infection and its ***,the available therapeutic options for Mpox virus infection remain *** far,only a few numbers of antiviral compounds have been approved by regulatory *** the high mutability of the Mpox virus,certain mutant strains have shown resistance to existing pharmaceutical *** highlights the urgent need to develop novel antiviral drugs that can combat both drug resistance and the potential threat of ***,there is a lack of comprehensive literature on the pathophysiology and treatment of *** address this issue,we conducted a review covering the physiological and pathological processes of Mpox infection,summarizing the latest progress of anti-Mpox *** analysis encompasses approved drugs currently employed in clinical settings,as well as newly identified small-molecule compounds and antibody drugs displaying potential antiviral efficacy against ***,we have gained valuable insights from the process of Mpox drug development,including strategies for repurposing drugs,the discovery of drug targets driven by artificial intelligence,and preclinical drug *** purpose of this review is to provide readers with a comprehensive overview of the current knowledge on Mpox.
