Safety and efficacy of oral HD-03/ES given for six months in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection

AIM： To investigate the safety and efficacy of the formulation HD-03/ES capsules in the management of patients with chronic hepatitis B infection.METHODS： A total of 25 patients were recruited to the study and were given HD-03/ES, two capsules twice daily for six months. Clinical assessment of symptoms and signs were done using the ＂clinical observation table＂ once a month before and after the treatment. Biochemical investigations of total bilirubin, ALT, AST, serum protein for liver function tests were done every month after initiating treatment. Serum was analyzed for HBV markers for HBsAg, HBeAg and HBV DNA at baseline, 4 and 6 mo alter therapy using ELISA kits from Roche.RESULTS： After 6 mo of therapy with HD-03/ES, a significant reduction of ALT values from 66.5 ± 11.1 to 39.1 ± 5.2 （P 〈 0.01） and a significant HBsAg loss （52%, P 〈 0.001）, HBeAg loss （60%, P 〈 0.05） and HBV DNA loss （60%, P 〈 0.05） was observed. Adverse effects were mild and never warranted withdrawal of the drug.CONCLUSION： The results of this pilot study indicate that HD-03/ES might be a safe and effective treatment for chronic hepatitis B infection and a long-term multicentric comparator trial is warranted and under way.

Experimental and computational analysis has been carried out by many researchers on supersonic cavity flow,but detailed analysis based on Rossiter’s model still requires some *** the current study an open rectangular cavity with a length to depth ratio of 2(L/D=2)and Mach number at the inlet as 1.71,was considered as a baseline configuration for experimental *** techniques such as power spectral density(PSD),correlation,and overall sound pressure level(OASPL)were carried out on the unsteady pressure data,to analyze the aero-acoustic flow ***-speed schlieren images were processed to obtain spatially coherent modes by proper orthogonal decomposition(POD).The analysis was extended for different dimensions of subcavities on the aft,floor,and front *** detailed analysis of these configurations with different dimensions and combinations revealed the various flow features and mode frequencies in supersonic *** the front wall subcavity act as a passive control device,reducing the overall sound pressure level inside the cavity whereas,the aft wall subcavity acts as a passive resonator with distinct harmonic fluidresonant modes,a similar phenomenon was observed for floor subcavity at different locations.A novel method was employed to analyze Rossiter’s model and its applicability in estimating experimental modes was verified,as it accurately predicted the dominant frequencies with a maximum of 2.74% uncertainty among all the configurations.

In this digital era,Cardio Vascular Disease(CVD)has become the lead-ing cause of death which has led to the mortality of 17.9 million lives each *** Diagnosis of the people who are at higher risk of CVDs helps them to receive proper treatment and helps prevent *** becomes inevitable to pro-pose a solution to predict the CVD with high accuracy.A system for predicting Cardio Vascular Disease using Deep Neural Network with Binarized Butterﬂy Optimization Algorithm(DNN–BBoA)is *** BBoA is incorporated to select the best *** optimal features are fed to the deep neural network classiﬁer and it improves prediction accuracy and reduces the time *** usage of a deep neural network further helps to improve the prediction accu-racy with minimal *** proposed system is tested with two datasets namely the Heart disease dataset from UCI repository and CVD dataset from Kag-gle *** proposed work is compared with different machine learning classiﬁers such as Support Vector Machine,Random Forest,and Decision Tree Classiﬁ*** accuracy of the proposed DNN–BBoA is 99.35%for the heart dis-ease data set from UCI repository yielding an accuracy of 80.98%for Kaggle repository for cardiovascular disease dataset.

Abnormal behavior detection is challenging and one of the growing research areas in computer *** main aim of this research work is to focus on panic and escape behavior detections that occur during unexpected/uncertain *** this work,Pyramidal Lucas Kanade algorithm is optimized using EME-HOs to achieve the *** stage,OPLKT-EMEHOs algorithm is used to generate the opticalﬂow from *** stage,the MIIs opticalﬂow is applied as input to 3 layer CNN for detect the abnormal crowd *** of Minnesota(UMN)dataset is used to evaluate the proposed *** experi-mental result shows that the proposed method provides better classiﬁcation accu-racy by comparing with the existing *** method provides 95.78%of precision,90.67%of recall,93.09%of f-measure and accuracy with 91.67%.

Electrodeposition of acid copper plating on mild steel substrate is tedious due to the galvanic displacement reaction ofcopper on mild *** can be avoided by using a proper complexing agent,because the complexing agent tuned the potential ofnoble direction to less noble direction by complex *** this paper,environment friendly electrodeposition of copper fromnon-cyanide electrolyte using sodium gluconate as complexing agent was investigated in alkaline *** effects of additivessuch as1,2,3-benzotriazole,sodium lauryl sulphate,PEG8000and saccharin were *** additives are found to reduce thegrain size,grain boundaries and improve surface morphology of the copper *** they improve the throwing power of thedepositing electrolytes and hardness of *** electrodeposited copper coatings were characterized by X-ray *** results indicate that the electrodeposited copper shows polycrystalline and face centered cubic *** crystalsize was calculated by XRD and AFM *** these additives studied,the mixture of benzotriazole and sodium laurylsulphate acts as the best additive.A uniform pore-free surface observed under SEM and AFM results reveal the grain refining broughtabout by the additives.

Internal faults in three phase induction motors can result in serious performance degradation and eventual system failures if not properly detected and treated in time. Artificial intelligence techniques, the core of soft-computing, have numerous advantages over conventional fault diagnostic approaches; therefore, a soft-computing system was developed to detect and diagnose electric motor faults. The fault diagnostic system for three-phase induction motors samples the fault symptoms and then uses a fuzzy-expert forward inference model to identify the fault. This paper describes how to define the membership functions and fuzzy sets based on the fault symptoms and how to construct the hierarchical fuzzy inference nets with the propagation of probabilities concerning the uncertainty of faults. The designed hierarchical fuzzy inference nets efficiently detect and diagnose the fault type and exact location in a three phase induction motor. The validity and effectiveness of this approach is clearly shown from obtained testing results.

Several past studies showed that Autonomous Vehicles(AVs)can reduce crash risk,stop-and-go traffic,and travel *** analyze the safety benefits of AVs,most of the researchers proposed algorithms and simulation-based ***,these studies have not assessed the safety benefits of AVs for different vehicle types under heterogeneous *** this opportunity,this study focuses on the benefits of AVs in terms of safety for different penetration rates under heterogeneous *** study considered three driving logics during peak hour conditions to assess the performance of AVs in terms of *** VISSIM,default driving behavior models for AVs were adopted to consider cautious and all-knowing driving logic and the third driving logic(Atkins)was modeled in VISSIM using parameters adopted from the previous *** this end,using VISSIM,the travel time output results were ***,using Surrogate Safety Assessment Model(SSAM),conflicts were extracted from output trajectory files(VISSIM).The results suggest that“cautious driving logic”reduced travel time and crash risk significantly when compared to the other two driving logics during peak hour ***,the statistical analysis clearly demonstrated that“cautious driving logic”differs significantly from the other two driving *** Market Penetration Rates(MPR)were 50%or greater,the“cautious driving logic”significantly outperforms the other two driving *** results highlight that adopting“cautious driving logic”at an expressway may significantly increase safety at higher AV penetration rates(above 50%).
