Detrital Zircon U-Pb Geochronology of the Xilin Group: Constraints for the Early Paleozoic Tectonic Evolution of the Songliao Massif

The Xilin Group, composed of the Chenming, Laodaomiaogou, Qianshan and Wuxingzhen formations, is one of the Early Paleozoic terranes in the eastern Songliao Massif, mainly consisting of thick layers of fine clastic and carbonate rocks. This study presents LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb geochronological data for the Laodaomiaogou and Qianshan formations, further constraining their provenance and the Early Paleozoic tectonic evolution of the Songliao Massif on the eastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt. Most zircons from the Laodaomiaogou and Qianshan formations show magmatic oscillatory zoning and high Th/U ratios(0.26–2.41). Zircon U-Pb dating results indicate that the detrital zircons from the silty mudstone of the Laodaomiaogou Formation yield peak ages of 634 Ma, 775 Ma, 820 Ma, 880 Ma and 927 Ma, as well as multi-episodic Archean to Paleoproterozoic and Mesoproterozoic ages(1405–643 Ma), implying its deposition time is younger than ~634 Ma. Furthermore, the occurrence of Early Cambrian fossils indicates that the Laodaomiaogou Formation was deposited during the late stage of the Early Cambrian(~514 Ma). The zircons from the K-bentonite of the Qianshan Formation show four peak ages of 444 Ma, 471 Ma, 489 Ma and 518 Ma and the youngest age peak of 444 ± 4 Ma(n = 6) indicates that the Qianshan Formation was deposited during the Late Ordovician. In addition, the peak ages of the detrital zircons in the silty mudstone of the Qianshan Formation are 472 Ma and 498 Ma, as well as two other concordant points with;Pb/;Pb apparent ages of 1824 Ma and 1985 Ma. The dating results in this study, together with published data, indicate the absence of Pan-African magmatic events in the Songliao Massif prior to the initial deposition of the Xilin Group, in contrast to those distributed widely in the Jiamusi Massif. Sensitivity analysis of modeling parameters to soot and PAHs prediction in ethylene inverse diffusion flame

The soot formation model based on inverse ethylene diffusion flames was performed to study the sensitivity of the soot formation process to the prediction *** effects of efficiency parameters such as soot inception,surface growth and coagulation on the simulation results were studied by using the adjustable efficiency *** addition,the reversible soot model and conjugate heat transfer(CHT)model were also introduced to explore their *** indicated that,among adjustable efficiency parameters,the nucleation efficiency had the greatest influence on the predicted soot and PAHs distributions,while the Habstraction-C2H2-addition(HACA)process and PAH adsorption surface growth efficiencies impacted *** adjustable efficiency parameters had a significant effect on the concentration of soot gaseous precursors and soot particles,but their effects on temperature,gas phase molecules,and intermediate species were not *** the nucleation efficiency increased from 2×10^(-6)to 1×10^(-4),the predicted value of the integrated soot was increased by nearly 50%,and the maximum primary particle number density and the number of aggregates were increased by an order of *** maximum concentration of BAPYR was ***,the peak temperature along the axial direction increased by only 3.5 *** the reversible soot model,the approximation results of the adjustable efficiency parameters could be modified,which showed the feasibility of the *** use of the CHT model promoted pyrolysis of the fuel below the outlet of the fuel tube,with high-temperature zones,soot zones,and PAHs zones moving towards higher flame ***,when using the reversible model and the CHT model,the maximum soot volume fraction decreased by 39%compared with the basic efficiency parameters,while the concentration of BAPYR increased by 162%,and the concentrations of gas phase species were decreased.

Numerical analysis of hydraulic fracture propagation in deep shale reservoir with different injection strategies

Deep shale reservoirs are characterized by elevated breakdown pressures,diminished fracture complexity,and reduced modified volumes compared to medium and shallow ***,it is urgent to investigate particular injection strategies that can optimize breakdown pressure and fracturing efficiency to address the increasing demands for deep shale reservoir *** this study,the efficiency of various stimulation strategies,including multi-cluster simultaneous fracturing,modified alternating fracturing,alternating shut-in fracturing,and cyclic alternating fracturing,was ***,the sensitivity of factors such as the cycle index,shut-in time,cluster spacing,and horizontal permeability was ***,the flow distribution effect within the wellbore was *** results indicate that relative to multi-cluster simultaneous fracturing,modified alternating fracturing exhibits reduced susceptibility to the stress shadow effect,which results in earlier breakdown,extended hydraulic fracture lengths,and more consistent propagation despite an increase in breakdown *** alternating shut-in fracturing benefits the increase of fracture length,which is closely related to the shut-in ***,cyclic alternating fracturing markedly lowers breakdown pressure and contributes to uniform fracture propagation,in which the cycle count plays an important *** alternating fracturing demonstrates insensitivity to variations in cluster spacing,whereas horizontal permeability is a critical factor affecting fracture *** wellbore effect restrains the accumulation of pressure and flow near the perforation,delaying the initiation of hydraulic *** simulation results can provide valuable numerical insights for optimizing injection strategies for deep shale hydraulic fracturing.

Domestic and industrial wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)are facing formidable challenges in effectively eliminating emerging pollutants and conventional *** microbiome engineering,two approaches have been developed:a top-down method focusing on domesticating seed microbiomes into engineered ones,and a bottom-up strategy that synthesizes engineered microbiomes from microbial ***,these approaches face substantial hurdles that limit their real-world applicability in wastewater treatment *** this gap,we propose the creation of a Global WWTP Microbiome-based Integrative Information Platform,inspired by the untapped microbiome and engineering data fromWWTPs and advancements in artificial intelligence(AI).This open platform integrates microbiome and engineering information globally and utilizes AI-driven tools for identifying seed microbiomes for new plants,providing technical upgrades for existing facilities,and deploying microbiomes for accidental pollution *** its practical applications,this platform has significant scientific and social value,supporting multidisciplinary research,documenting microbial evolution,advancing Wastewater-Based Epidemiology,and enhancing global resource ***,the platform is expected to enhance WWTPs’performance in pollution control,safeguarding a harmonious and healthy future for human society and the natural environment.

The deterioration of winding defects is one of the important causes of power transformer fires and even explosion *** change of leakage magnetic field distribution is the most direct response to winding *** there are few sensors suitable for online measurement of the internal magnetic field of *** on the Faraday magneto-optical effect,a magnetic field sensor with wide range and high sensitivity is proposed in this paper,which is suitable for the interior use of *** straight-through optical structure with interior polarizer is adopted,and the sensor has a measurement range of 1.5 T and a sensitivity of 1 *** also possesses a small size,with a length of about 30 mm after *** influence mechanism of vibration and temperature is revealed through theoretical analysis and numerical *** is proposed to filter out the interference of vibration by characteristic frequency analysis and to compensate for temperature by a two-probe *** anti-interference test verifies the effectiveness of this method,and it can reduce the error from 80.56%to 2.63%under the combined interference of vibration and temperature.

Coupled interactive effects of ammonia and hydrogen additions on ethylene diffusion flames: A detailed kinetic study

In order to create effective combustion technologies and fuels with low or no carbon emissions,the research was conducted to assess the coupled interactive effects of NH_(3) and H_(2) additions on ethylene counterflow diffusion flames from a kinetic *** effects of the NH_(3)/H_(2) combination on flame temperatures,major species,key radicals,important intermediate species,representative oxygenated species and NO_xwere *** results of the study utilizing fictitious inert NH_(3) and/or H_(2) revealed the chemical effects of the two *** was found that the NH_(3)/H_(2) coupled effects had a more effective inhibitory effect on soot precursors than the effects of corresponding sum of single NH_(3) or H_(2) *** production of soot precursors was promoted by the coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and H_(2),but the coupled dilution and thermal effects were observed to have a greater impact,resulting in a decrease of the mole fractions of soot *** for the interaction of NH_(3) and H_(2) effects,the presence of H_(2) decreased the chemical effects of NH_(3) on the augmentation of C_(2)H_(2),A1,A2,and CH_(3)CHO mole *** NH_(3) addition alleviated the H_(2) chemical effects on increasing C_(2)H_(2),C_(3)H_(3),A1 and A2 ***,the NH_(3)chemical effects on C_(3)H_(3),OH and CH_(3)CHO were enhanced when H_(2) was *** presence of NH_(3) augmented the chemical effects of H_(2) on the growth of OH mole ***,the H_(2) chemical effects hindered the production of NO and NO_(2) in the presence of NH_(3).

Voltage-dependent P-Q Reserve Capacity Evaluation for TSO-DSO Interface Considering Uncertainties of DGs and FLs

Increasing distributed generators(DGs)and flexible loads(FLs)enable distribution systems to provide both active and reactive power reserves(P-Q reserves)in supporting the frequency and voltage regulations of transmission ***,such requirements at the interface between the transmission system operator(TSO)and distribution system operator(DSO)affect the distribution system operation security,considering the uncertainties of DGs and *** exploit the reserve potential of distribution systems,this paper investigates the voltagedependent P-Q reserve capacity(V-PQRC)of such types of distribution systems.V-PQRC reflects the feasible space of PQ reserves that the DSO can provide to the TSO taking the voltage deviation limit at TSO-DSO interface into consideration,while ensuring the distribution system operation security under uncertainties of DGs and *** evaluation method for VPQRC at the TSO-DSO interface is *** improve the robust performance of the evaluation method,the DG uncertainty is captured by a generalized ambiguity set and the FL uncertainty is addressed by designing a constrained sliding mode controller(CSMC).Three objectives are considered in the evaluation,i.e.,P reserve capacity,Q reserve capacity,and the voltage deviation limit at the TSO-DSO ***,a multiobjective optimization model integrating the generalized robust chance-constrained optimization and CSMC(GRCC-CSMC)is established for V-PQRC evaluation to obtain the Pareto optimal reserve ***,a non-approximated selecting(NAS)method is proposed to build up a simplified V-PQRC linear model,which can be convenient to apply in the transmissiondistribution system *** results reveal that the V-PQRC evaluation method can achieve a good performance of accuracy and robustness against uncertainties.

Heterogeneous integration of 2D materials on Si charge-coupled devices as optical memory

Optical memory integrates the function of optical sensing in memory devices, remarkably promoting the interconnection between sensory and memory terminals. Silicon charge-coupled photodetectors and floating gate memory have been widely used in imaging and storage technologies, respectively. However,the heterogeneous integration of the two devices requires technological innovation and complex electrical connections. In this work, we adopt a three-dimensional layer stacking method to design a novel optical memory device. On the top of Si charge-coupled photodetectors, we successively deposit two-dimensional graphene,hexagonal boron nitride, and molybdenum disulfide as a floating gate layer, a tunneling layer, and a readout layer, respectively. By applying a gate bias on lightly doped Si, a deep depletion layer is formed with a high voltage potential drop. Under dark conditions, the depletion layer cannot be filled, and the electric field across the h-BN tunnel barrier is relatively small. Under light irradiation, the deep depletion layer is gradually filled, and the h-BN tunneling layer withstands the increasing electric field, resulting in charge storage in the floating gate layer. Based on this mechanism, the device exhibits a gate voltage-dependent operation mode, including an integrated optical sensing-memory mode and an electrically driven storage mode. Under moderate gate voltage, the device can effectively detect the optical information with varied intensity and store the optical information in the floating gate, displaying optically controlled memory characteristics. Our work demonstrates a compact device structure for optical memory and displays excellent optically controlled memory performance, which can be applied in artificial vision systems.

Comprehensive kinetic study on ammonia/ethylene counter-flow diffusion flames:influences of diluents

This study aimed to investigate the effects of ammonia addition on ethylene counter-flow diffusion flames with different diluents on the fuel or oxidizer side,using kinetic analyses.A special emphasis was put on assessing the coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and CO_(2) on C2H4 combustion *** chemical effects could be evaluated by comparing fictitious inert NH_(3) or CO_(2) with normal active NH_(3) or CO_(2).The results revealed that the addition of NH_(3) decreased the mole fractions and production rates of key soot precursors,such as acetylene,propynyl,and *** CO_(2) was used as the dilution gas,the coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and CO_(2) were affected by the chemical effects of CO_(2) to varying *** the oxidizer-side CO_(2) addition,the coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and CO_(2) reduced the mole fractions of H,O,OH radicals,acetylene,propynyl,and benzene,while the effects differed from the fuel-side CO_(2) *** coupled chemical effects of NH_(3) and CO_(2) also promoted the formation of aldehyde contaminants,such as acetaldehyde,to some extent,particularly with CO_(2) addition on the oxidizer side.
