Background the impact of changing land-use patterns and associated anthropogenic threats on scale-dependent habitat use of semi-aquatic mustelids in scent-marking and social behaviour can provide important insights into the habitat ecology of smooth-coated otters(Lutrogale perspicillata).Methods We sampled 180 stream segments(100–400 m) as spatial replicates of 60 1-km2 s.t.s.t. record indirect evidence(i.e. spraints and mass latrine s.t.s) and group sizes of smooth-coated otters along the tungabhadra Otter Conservation Reserve(tOCR) during the dry season. to quantify habitat, we recorded stream characteristics, riparian vegetation, and anthropogenic disturbances at the local scale, and hydro-environmental characteristics and land uses at the landscape scale. Using Markovian-chain detection and occupancy models, we assessed the multi-scale habitat use of otters in their selection of suitable areas for scent-marking based on repeated presence-absence data on spraint/latrine locations along the tOCR. We further used linear regression techniques.t. explore relationships between the number of individuals in smooth-coated otter group and hydro-environmental characteristics, spraint/latrine encounter rate, anthropogenic pressure, land cover, topography, and *** At the local scale, the probability of spraint depos.t.on and group size decreased with anthropogenic disturbance while the probability of spraint detections decreased with grass cover. Florida has.t.e highest number of motorcycle fatalities in the United states and contains.t.e second largest population of registered motorcycles. the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the roads, traffic, and driving behavior in the continental United states. Motorcycle crashes decreased during the COVID-19 years (2020 and 2021) while the fatality rates increased. the purpose of this study is.t. 1) investigate motorcycle crashes before and during the Pandemic period to understand the impacts on motorcycle safety and contributing factors.t. the crash severity levels;2) develop the crash predictive model for different degrees of severity in motorcycle crashes in Florida. Florida statewide crash data were collected. t tests have been conducted to compare the contributing factors between two periods. the injury severities are significantly different among all five levels between those during normal period and the Pandemic period. A crash predictive model has been developed to determine the facts.t. injury severity levels for motorcycle crashes. A total of eight variables are found to significantly increase the injury severity levels for motorcycle crashes during the Pandemic period.

BACKGROUND Liver grafts from donation after circulatory death(DCD)are associated with a higher risk of early graft dysfunction,determined by the warm ischemia and cold ischemia *** is essential to have precise criteria to identify this complication in order to guide therapeutic *** to validate different graft and recipient survival scores in patients undergoing liver transplantation(Lt)with DCD *** A retrospective and observational unicentric study was conducted on 65 Lt patients with grafts obtained from controlled DCD donors from November 2013 to November *** United Kingdom(UK)risk score,early allograft dysfunction(EAD)Olthoff score,and model for early allograft function(MEAF)score were used to evaluate the risk of graft and recipient survival *** survival analysis purposes,we used the Kaplan-Meier method,and the differences between subgroups were compared using the log-rank(Mantel-Cox)*** sixty-five patients were included in the *** UK risk score did not demonstrate predictive capacity for recipient or graft ***,in donors aged over 70 years old(18.4%),it significantly predicted graft survival(Pto Kaplan-Meier survival curves,graft survival rates at 6 months,2 years,and 5 years in the futility group dramatically decreased to 50%compared to the other groups(log-rank 8.806,Pthe EAD Olthoff and MEAF scores did not demonstrate predictive capacity for recipient or graft *** on Kaplan-Meier survival curves,patients with a MEAF score≥7 had a lower graft survival rate at 6 months,2 years,and 5 years compared to patients with a lower MEAF score(log-rank 4.667,PsION In our series,both UK DCD risk score and MEAF score showed predictive capability for graft survival.

this article analyzes.t.e transmission line characteristics of plasmonic hybrid metal insulator metal(HMIM) wave-guide, circular ring resonator(CRR) based dual-band band-pass filters with two transmission poles in both pass-bands in the optical regime using coupled line feed. the transmission line characteristics of an HMIM waveguide, such as characteristic impedance(Z_(PV)), effective refractive index(n_(eff)) and propagation length(L_(spp)), have been obtained by using full wave simulation.
