Investigating the Effects of Eichhornia Crassipes Biodiesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas on the Performance and Emissions of a Dual-Fuel Engine

This study considers the effect of Eichhornia Crassipes Biodiesel(ECB)blends on the performances,combustion,and emission characteristics of a direct injection compression ignition engine operated in a dual-fuel mode(DFM)and equipped with an Exhaust gas recirculation technique(EGR).In particular,a single-cylinder,four-stroke,water-cooled diesel engine was utilized and four modes of fuel operation were considered:mode I,the engine operated with an ordinary diesel fuel;mode II,the engine operated with the addition of 2.4 L/min of lique-ﬁed petroleum gas(LPG)and 20%EGR;mode III,20%ECB with 2.4 L/min LPG and 20%EGR;mode IV,40%ECB with 2.4 L/min LPG and 20%*** operation conditions were constant engine speed(1500 rpm),var-iation of load(25%,50%,75%,and 100%),full load,with a compression ratio of 18,and a time injection of 23°BTDC(Before top died center).With regard to engine emissions,carbon dioxide(CO_(2)),carbon monoxide(CO),hydrocarbons(UHC),and nitrogen oxide(NOX)were measured using a gas *** smoke opacity was measured using an OPABOX smoke *** comparing the results related to the different modes with mode I at full load,the BTE(Brake thermal efﬁciency)increased by 20.17%,11.45%,and 12.66%with modes II,III,and IV,*** comparison to the results for mode II,the BTE decreased due to the combustion of ECB blends by 7.26%and 6.24%for mode III and mode IV,respectively,at full *** comparison to mode II,the Brake speciﬁc energy consumption(BsEC)increased with the ECB *** ECB blends,there is a noticeable decrease in the CO,CO_(2),and UHC emissions at a partial ***,the 20%ECB has no effect on CO emissions at full *** modes II and IV,the CO_(2)increased by 33.33%and 19%,respectively,while the UHC emissions were reduced by 14.49%for mode III and 26.08%for mode *** smoke of mode III was lower by 7.21%,but for mode IV,it was higher by 12.37%.In addition,with mode III and mode IV,the NOx emissions increased by 30.50%

Prevelance of Bovine Cysticercosis in Egypt and the Cysticidal Effect of Two Extracts Obtained from Balanites aegyptiaca and Moringa oleifera on Mice Model Affected with T. saginata Cysticerci

The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of bovine cysticercosis in both cattle and buffloas, in Egypt and to assess the cysticidal efficacy of Balanites aegyptiaca fruits (B. aegyptiaca) and Moringa oleifera seeds (M. oleifera) extracts in experimentally infected mice. The study detected the level of tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) to monitor the immune and inflammatory responses of experimentally infected mice. Through meat inspection, a total number of 2125 male bovine, 2 to 5 years old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buffloes) were examined under the authority of Albsatine and Alwaraq official abattoirs in Cairo Governorate, Egypt covering the period extended from March 2022 to April 2023. The overall prevalence of the disease among bovine was 7.8% (6.31% of cattle and 9.5% of buffloes). Besides, B. aegyptiaca and M. oleifera extracts showed cysticidal activity in experimentally infected mice. A decrease in the numbers of cysticerci was found in all treated mice groups, and up to 88% reduction was achieved in the B. aegyptiaca-treated group;higher than that was recorded in both M. oleifera (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones (80.56%). Postmortem findings proved that M. oleifera and B. aegyptiaca reduced cysticerci numbers comparable to a commercial anthelmintic. The study showed a significant decrease (P 0.001) in TNF-α levels after treatment with Balanites and Moringa extracts, compared with the untreated control and the albendazole-treated groups.

Poaching as well as loss of habitat and prey are identified as causes of tiger population *** some studies have examined habitat requirements and prey availability,few studies have quantified cause-specific mortality of *** used cumulative incidence functions(CIFs)to quantify cause-specific mortality rates of tigers,expanding and refining earlier studies to assess the potential impact of a newly emerging *** quantify changes in tiger mortality over time,we re-examined data first collected by Goodrich et al.(2008;study period 1:1992–2004)as well as new telemetry data collected since January 2005(study period 2:2005–2012)using a total of 57 tigers(27 males and 30 females)monitored for an average of 747 days(range 26–4718 days).Across the entire study period(1992 to 2012)we found an estimated average annual survival rate of 0.75 for all tigers *** was the primary cause of mortality during both study periods,followed by suspected poaching,distemper and natural/unknown *** 2005,poaching mortality has remained relatively constant and,if combined with suspected poaching,may account for a loss of 17–19%of the population each *** distemper virus(CDV)may be an additive form of mortality to the population,currently accounting for an additional 5%.Despite this relatively new source of mortality,poaching remains the main threat to Amur tiger survival and,therefore,population growth.

Object detection plays a vital role in the video surveillance *** enhance security,surveillance cameras are now installed in public areas such as trafﬁc signals,roadways,retail malls,train stations,and ***,monitor-ing the video continually at a quicker pace is a challenging *** a consequence,security cameras are useless and need human *** primary difﬁculty with video surveillance is identifying abnormalities such as thefts,accidents,crimes,or other unlawful *** anomalous action does not occur at a high-er rate than usual *** detect the object in a video,ﬁrst we analyze the images pixel by *** digital image processing,segmentation is the process of segregating the individual image parts into *** performance of segmenta-tion is affected by irregular illumination and/or low *** factors highly affect the real-time object detection process in the video surveillance *** this paper,a modiﬁed ResNet model(M-Resnet)is proposed to enhance the image which is affected by insufﬁcient *** results provide the comparison of existing method output and modiﬁcation architecture of the ResNet model shows the considerable amount improvement in detection objects in the video *** proposed model shows better results in the metrics like preci-sion,recall,pixel accuracy,etc.,andﬁnds a reasonable improvement in the object detection.

An Intelligent Approach for Accurate Prediction of Chronic Diseases

Around the globe,chronic diseases pose a serious hazard to healthcare *** majority of the deaths are due to chronic diseases,and it causes burdens across the *** analyzing healthcare data and extracting patterns healthcare administrators,victims,and healthcare communities will get an advantage if the diseases are early *** majority of the existing works focused on increasing the accuracy of the techniques but didn’t concentrate on other performance ***,the proposed work improves the early detection of chronic disease and safeguards the lives of the patients by increasing the specificity and sensitivity of the classifiers along with the *** proposed work used a hybrid optimization algorithm called the Hybrid Gravitational search algorithm and Particle swarm Optimization algorithm(HGsAPsO)to upgrade the detection of chronic *** classifier parameters with their optimized parameters are compared and *** such as Artificial Neural Network(ANN),support Vector Machines(sVM),K-Nearest Neighbor(Knn),and Decision tree(DT)are *** care data are obtained from the UCI machine learning repository to evaluate the proposed *** proposed work is assessed on 6 benchmark datasets and the performance metrics such as Accuracy,specificity,sensitivity,F-measure,Recall,and Precision are *** experimental results exhibit that the proposed work attains better accuracy on Artificial Neural Network-Hybrid Gravitational search algorithm and Particle swarm Optimization algorithm(ANN-HGsAPsO)classifier compared to other ***-HGsAPsO provides 93%accuracy for Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD),Cardio Vascular Disease(CVD)96%,Diabetes 82%,Hepatitis 94%,Wisconsin Breast Cancer(WBC)91%,and for Liver disease dataset 96%.

A set of Chinese guidelines and recommendations are developed to standardize the clinical practice, to ensure the quality and safety of medical service, and to ultimately improve the survival of breast cancer patients.

Image based leaf segmentation and counting in rosette plants

This paper proposes an efficient method to extract the leaf region and count the number of leaves in digital plant *** plant image analysis plays a significant role in viable and productive *** is used to record the plant growth,plant yield,chlorophyll fluorescence,plant width and tallness,leaf area,*** and *** growth is a major character to be analyzed among these plant characters and it directly depends on the number of leaves in the *** this paper,a new method is presented for leaf region extraction from plant images and counting the number of *** proposed method has three *** first step involves a new statistical based technique for image *** second step involves in the extraction of leaf region in plant image using a graph based *** third step involves in counting the number of leaves in the plant image by applying Circular Hough Transform(CHT).The proposed work has been experimented on benchmark datasets of Leaf segmentation Challenge(LsC).The proposed method achieves the segmentation accuracy of 95.4%and it also achieves the counting accuracy of0.7(DiC)and 2.3(|DiC|)for datasets(A1,A2 and A3),which are better than the state-of-the-art methods.
