Rt-PCR Analysis and Evolutionary Relationship of some Hungarian <i>Grapevine leafroll associated virus</i>1 and 3 Isolates

Hungarian isolates of Grapevine leafroll associated virus 1 and 3 (GLRaV-1, GLRaV-3) were tested using serological (das-ELIsA) and molecular (RT-PCR) methods. Five hundred bp long PCR products of the part of HsP70 gene of one serologically positive GLRaV-1 and four GLRaV-3 isolates were sequenced. These sequences were applied for phylogenetic analysis and compared to foreign virus isolates of NCBI GenBank. Phylogenetic analysis of GLRaV-1 HsP70 gene supported the earlier results that it could be divided into two clusters: E and A. The Hungarian isolate 6.4.1 belonged to the group E. This isolate showed the highest homology with the AY754914 isolate from the Czech Republic. GLRaV-3 sequence data could cluster five groups. Hungarian 2.2;3.5 and 4.2 isolates were estimated belonging to the group II. The 1.4 isolate from the same vineyard as 2.2 varied in sequence data so it belonged to the other, IV. variant group with two south African, two Austrian and a syrah isolate. According to the phylogenetic analysis, two variant groups occurred in Hungary. These isolates related with each other, but showed higher similarity of foreign counties. In some cases, they were similar to isolates of the neighbour countries such as slovakia and Austria. It could be supposed that mainly the exchange of virus infected propagation materials caused the dissemination of GLRaV isolates.

Dear editor,It is with great interest that we read the article“Relationship of calcitonin gene-related peptide with disease progression and prognosis of patients with severe traumatic brain injury”(Chen et al.,2018).In this study,the authors evaluated 121 patients who were divided into mild/moderate traumatic brain injury(TBI)(n=61),severe TBI(n=35)and control(n=25)groups,and measured serum levels of calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)and serum endothelin-1(ET-1).They found that low levels of CGRP and high levels of ET-1 were associated with high mortality at 6 *** of morphological abnormalities on CT scans is very important for evaluating patients with TBI because different diagnoses are made based on different imaging findings(Maas et al.,2005).

Introduction: systemic Lupus Erythematosus (sLE) usually presents neuropsychiatric manifestations, such as psychosis, convulsion, mood disorder and chronic headache, with mood disorder being the most prevalent. It is also known that other psychiatric disorders and menstrual cycle disorders are frequent in sLE. The aim of this study was to describe for the first time the frequency of premenstrual dysphoric disorder in patients with sLE diagnosis, and its association with depression and anxiety. Material and Methods: An evaluation was made of 62 (sixty-two) patients with diagnosis of sLE, based on the American College of Rheumatology criteria, who received follow-up care at an ambulatory reference center. The patients were submitted to a sociodemographic evaluation questionnaire, upon which the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI PLUs), Brazilian Version 5.0.0, was used to evaluate the diagnosis. Results: Twenty (32%) patients were found to have premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and there was a statistically significant association with major depression (p = 0.010), but no statistical significance was found with dysthymia (p = 0.063) or anxiety (p = 0.223). Conclusions: The frequency of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in patients with sLE was high, as well as the frequency of major depression in this group. There was an association between these two disorders.

The purpose was to analyze biomarkers of oxidative stress and muscle damage in junior soccer players undergoing intermittent exercise to verify the biochemical changes. Ten trained, healthy male soccer players (age 18.3 ± 0.7 years, body mass 74.3 ± 7.4 kg, height 175.5 ± 6.7 cm, body mass index 24.14 ± 1.15 kg/m2;mean ± sD) from the junior cate-gory of an elite Brazilian football association participated in this study. They accomplished a running test (Loughbo-rough Intermittent shuttle Test) which simulates common soccer activity patterns. Blood samples were collected before, during and immediately after the exercise for glucose, lactate, creatinine, urea, ascorbic acid, total plasma antioxidant potential, lipid hydroperoxides, malondialdehyde and creatine kinase concentrations. During the exercise no changes were observed in biomarkers, but, immediately after there was a significant decrease in total plasma antioxidant potential (ranging from 650.37 ± 66.53 μmol.L-1 to 559.95 ± 91.38 μmol.L-1, p -1 to 8.35 ± 0.83 nmol.L-1 and from 272.01 ± 49.67 U.I.?L-1 to 304.65 ± 39.13 U.I.?L-1, p s suggest that the exercise protocol induced significant changes in oxidative stress selected biomarkers in the early stage of recovery. Thus, taking into account that soccer players’ competitive careers initiate very precociously being under constant physical exhaustion, further research on junior soccer players’ physiology and health are important for more effective physical and nutritional programming.
