The study revealed the development of cost effective technology utilized as a practical tool for treatment of seasonal torrent and addressing erosion problems and land use *** was implemented in a small agricultural watershed located in foot hill of shivalik,India,to assess its prediction capacity of runoff,peak runoff flow and sediment *** effective technology was evaluated at the event scale by using a database of hydrological,geomorphologic and land use data collected during a two-year *** the catchment,the gullies which are small to medium in size were treated with gully plugging by erecting loose boulder check dams and erected with different species of *** types of spur were constructed with vegetative reinforcement for channelization of stream *** sediments deposited in the first year at downstream was recorded 0.09-81.0 tons,while in the second year it was reduced up to 0.07-16.7 ***,up stream sediment deposition was recorded 1.0-72.0 tons and 0.37-13.1 tons in two consecutive *** D-50 analysis of sediment deposited was carried in three different places of torrent and it was found that deposited particle size material decreased after treatment undertaken in the torrent ***,the mechanical as well as vegetative measures helped in the channelization of water course towards the central line with the tune of 10-100 m,stabilization of torrent bed and reclamation of degraded land.

We present a method to model interatomic interactions such as energy and forces in a computationally efficient *** proposed model approximates the energy/forces using a linear combination of random features,thereby enabling fast parameter estimation by solving a linear least-squares *** discuss how random features based on stationary and non-stationary kernels can be used for energy approximation and provide results for three classes of materials,namely two-dimensional materials,metals and *** and energy predictions made using the proposed method are in close agreement with density functional theory calculations,with training time that is 96%lower than standard kernel *** Dynamics calculations using random features based interatomic potentials are shown to agree well with experimental and density functional theory *** frequencies as computed by random features based interatomic potentials are within 0.1%of the density functional theory ***,the proposed random features-based potential addresses scalability issues encountered in this class of machine learning problems.

We study two-dimensional low angular momentum flow around a black hole using the resistive magnetohydrodynamic module of PLUTO *** have been performed for the flows with parameters of specific angular momentum,specific energy and magnetic field which may be expected for the flow around sgr A*.For flows with lower resistivityη=10^(-6)and 0.01,the luminosity and shock location on the equator vary *** power density spectra of luminosity variation show peak frequencies which correspond to the periods of 5×10^(5),1.4×10^(5)and 5×10^(4)*** quasi-periodic oscillations(QPOs)occur due to interaction between the outer oscillating standing shock and the inner weak shocks occurring at the innermost hot *** for cases with higher resistivityη=0.1 and 1.0,the high resistivity considerably suppresses the magnetic activity such as MHD turbulence and the flows tend to be steady and symmetric with respect to the *** steady standing shock is formed more outward compared with the hydrodynamical *** low angular momentum flow model with the above flow parameters and with low resistivity has a possibility to explain long-term flares of sgr A*with frequencies~one per day and~5-10 days in the latest observations by Chandra,swift and XMM-Newton monitoring of sgr A*.

In seasonally breeding subtropical mammal, the Indian pelm squirrel (Funambulus pennanti), reproductive recrudescence is initiated before the winter solstice followed by sexually active condition which extends until the end of summer season. Onset of seasonal regression coincides with the annual decrease in daily photoperiod and the increased level of relative humidity resulting from the arrival of monsoon at this latitude. To test the photoperiodic responses, the groupe of squirrels were exposed to natural day length (NDL), long day length (LD15:9), and short day length (LD 6: 18) over a period of one year beginning from March. squirrels of all these groupe were exposed to similar ambient temperature and humidity ***, the rate of testicular development was similar in control and long day squirrels attaining peak values in May (0.67 cm3) and June (0.7 cm3) respectively. Thereafter, while the gonads of controls regressed, the latter maintained a plateau. On the other hand, the gonads of short day squirrels regressed sharply until June (0.21 cm3)followed by spontaneous recrudescence and finally a plateau (0.55 cm3). These results indicate that initially squirrels are photosensitive (as long days are gonadostimulatory and short days are inhibitory) in the first half of summer season but eventually become refractory to the inhibitory effect of short days. Obvinusly, an acyclic condition is developed under constant long as well short day conditions maintaining the neurocndocrine-gonadal-axis in a continuously active state. We suggest that in nature although gonadal growth of this species does not synchronize with the increase in daily photoperiod, it is partially regulated by an interplay of annual photocycle and humidity conditions. Present study also indicates that this species has developed a strong photoperiodic mechanism which may surposs the reproductive effect of other environmental factors when maintained in constant conditions of day length.

VLF （very low frequency） mode instability with parallel AC electric field was studied for generalized loss-cone distribution with an index j, which is reducible to bi-Maxwellian, loss- cone and delta function for j = 0, 1 and co. The particle trajectories and dispersion relation are obtained through a kinetic approach and method of characteristic solutions. The calculations are compared with the observations of low frequency waves of Voyager 2. The growth rate of plasma parameters suited to magnetosphere of Uranus is obtained. It is inferred that the magnitude as well as frequency of AC （alternating current） field increases the growth rate and widen the band width significantly. In addition to temperature anisotropy, particles in plasma having generalized loss-cone distribution provide an additional source of energy.

The cross section values of the^(71)Ga(n,γ)^(72)Ga reaction are measured,which are 9.14±0.81 mb and 5.74±0.50 mb at 2.15 and 3.19 MeV,*** detailed uncertainty propagation and covariance analysis are also ***^(7)Li(p,n)^(7)be reaction was used to generate the neutrons,and the neutron flux was normalized using the^(115)In(n,n′)^(115)In^(m)monitor *** measured cross section data are compared with the data available in the EXFOR database,the data obtained using nuclear reaction model codes EMPIRE-3.2 and TALYs-1.95,and also the evaluated nuclear data from ENDF/b-VIII.0 and JEFF-3.1/*** comparison shows that our result at 3.19 MeV is in good agreement with those of EMPIRE-3.2 and JEFF-3.1/*** there are no other measurements available at3.19 MeV,our data could not be compared with literature data at 3.19 MeV,but they are consistent with the cross section values available at 2.98±0.26 and 3.0±0.1 *** result at 2.15 MeV is slightly higher than the literature value available in EXFOR,evaluated value,and theoretically predicted result.
