Electrical and electronic waste(e-waste)has become a global *** this ever-growing problem has become very critical and yet challenging,especially in the south Asian region;otherwise,it may undermine the sustainability of development and growth of numerous ***,to explore the current context of e-waste management,recycling,and strategies in sri Lanka,we conducted a systematic literature review process using peer-reviewed research articles retrieved from Google scholar *** searched for articles containing keywords such as“e-waste”,“management strategies and recycling”,and“sri Lanka”.We screened out papers(n=20)selected from papers(n=327)initially retrieved over a 17 period of time(2005–2022).The analysis of the screened articles showed that the main challenges to successful e-waste management were a lack of management strategies,policies,and inadequate recycling practices as well as identifying the potential and opportunities to actively enhance the comprehensive awareness,collection,storage,proper disposal,and other e-waste management steps in sri ***,the study identified technological,financial,socio-economic,and institutional sectors as fundamental sectors to formulate a strategic plan for e-waste ***,the study suggests that enacting laws to practice and adopt e-waste management,establishing central command and management institutes to control all e-waste management bodies,providing financial assistance to informal e-waste collectors and recyclers,and introducing e-waste management to school curricula are some of the possible actions that can be taken along with enhancing the awareness of e-waste management.

This work uses the molecular dynamics approach to study the effects of functionalization of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)on the mechanical properties of Cu64Zr36 metallic glass(MG).Three types of functional groups,carboxylic,vinyl and ester were *** effect of CNT volume fraction(Vf)and the number of functional groups attached to CNT,on the mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of CNT-MG composites was analysed using Biovia Materials *** lower values of Vf(from 0 to 5%),the percentage increase in Young’s modulus was approximately 66%.As the value of Vf was increased further(from 5 to 12%),the rate of increase in Young’s modulus was reduced to 16%.The thermal conductivity was found to increase from 1.52 W/mK at Vf?0%to 5.88 W/mK at Vf?12%,thus giving an increase of approximately 286%.Functionalization of sWCNT reduced the thermal conductivity of the sWCNT-MG composites.

Introduction: In comparison to anterior wall myocardial infarction, inferior wall myocardial infarction is generally regarded as a low risk event. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic impact of right ventricular (RV) myocardial involvement in patients with inferior wall myocardial infarction (IWMI). Methods: This is an observational study of 82 consecutive IWMI patients admitted and treated in Manmohan Cardiothoracic, Vascular and Transplant Center (MCVTC) from May 15 2018 to June 15 2019. The clinical characteristics, risk factors profile, electrocardiographic, echocardiographic, including RV function and angiographic characteristics, complications and in-hospital deaths were analyzed. Results: The mean age of patients presenting with IMWI was 64.8 ± 13.8 years with predominance of male (67%). Right ventricular myocardial infarction was present in 34.1% of patient with RV dysfunction in 25.6% patients. Mean Tricuspid Annular Plane systolic Excursion (TAPsE), RV tricuspid annulus (s') and RV Fractional area change (FAC) in patients with RV dysfunction vs patients without RV dysfunction were 12.2 ± 3.3 mm vs 22.5 ± 3.5 mm (p s vs. 12.79 ± 2.16 cm/s respectively (p Conclusion: In inferior wall myocardial infarction, RV involvement with RV dysfunction is an independent risk factor for in-hospital mortality along with advanced age, complete atrioventricular block, higher Killip class, delayed hospital presentation, left ventricular ejection fraction ssel disease.

Bowel preparation for colonoscopy in children is a challenging procedure. Wide variety of preparation protocols exist, varying with the hospital. Unlike in adults, there is a lack of uniform bowel preparation protocol in children. Ideally, the bowel preparation agents are assessed by their safety, efficacy and tolerability. Unfortunately, none of the preparations currently available meets all of these criteria. However, since last decade, Polyethylene Glycol-3350 (PEG-3350) is gaining popularity for bowel preparation with reported safety, efficacy, and tolerability. The only major drawback of PEG-3350 without electrolyte was 4 days long preparation time thus raising the question if the duration of preparation time could be minimized and yet have same efficacy, safety, and tolerability of the medicine. Hence, one day PEG-3350 regimen was introduced eventually and is now being studied with increased dosage or combined with other laxatives. This is the first review which compiles the study so far conducted on one day PEG-3350 without electrolyte as colonoscopy bowel preparation in children and tries to summaries if this regimen can be commonly used in children for colonoscopy bowel preparation.

This paper presents the results of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach for flood risk and sediment management in dynamic alluvial fan. The study is based on real problems of Koshi River, Nepal. Criteria weighting for each measure were estimated using Entropy, AHP and AHP-Entropy techniques. Preference ranking of alternatives was prioritized using MCDM methods—ELECTRE, TOPsIs and sAW. Five alternate measures for flood risk management and eight alternate measures for sediment control with seven evaluation criteria comprising economic, social, environmental and political aspects were taken into account. The spearman’s rank correlation coefficient between the criteria weighting techniques AHP and AHP-Entropy, Entropy and AHP-Entropy and AHP with Entropy were 0.964, 0.429 and 0.321 respectively. Preference ranks were determined using nine combinations of criteria weighting techniques and preference ranking methods. In the case of flood risk management, using of old Koshi channel was recommended as the highest prioritized solution. similarly, for sediment control, reduction of upstream sediment supply was recommended as the top prioritized measures. The Euclidean distance test for each pairs of criteria weighting and prioritization methods showed all three MCDM methods of preference ranking were sensitive to weighting. On implementation of the recommended measures, local people of sunsari, saptari and Morang districts of Nepal will be highly benefited.

Backgroundsystemic lupus erythematosus（sLE） is a chronic, multi-organ autoimmune disease that occurs predominantly among reproductive age women. When sLE is newly diagnosed during pregnancy or puerperium, it is known as new-onset sLE during pregnancy. The diagnosis of new-onset sLE tends to be delayed or missed diagnosed due to similar clinical feature presentation with normal physiological changes and common pathological disease（preeclampsia） encountered during pregnancy. Furthermore, new-onset sLE during pregnancy has major organ involvement with poor maternal and fetal outcomes. In addition, certain lupus medications are potentially teratogenic and are contraindicated during *** objective of this systematic review is to investigate the clinical features, laboratory findings, treatment, complications and outcomes of new-onset sLE during *** methodssystematic reviewThe MEDLINE, EMBAsE, Pub Med, sCOPUs data bases related to new-onset sLE were searched up to February *** review comprises of results of 21 studies;16 were case reports published between year 1994-2016 and remaining being retrospective study published between year 2005-2015. A total of 149 patients with new-onset sLE during pregnancy were identified and studied their course of disease. The mean maternal age of diagnosis of sLE was in their mid 20’s. The new-onset sLE generally have more severe disease with higher prevalence of renal and hematological involvement, which might have significant impact on health of mother and fetus. The most common maternal complication was preeclampsia. When lupus was missed diagnose with preeclampsia especially during third trimester it tended to delay diagnosis for 5 days to more than 12 months after delivery. Objective In pediatric, colonoscopy examination has become a common procedure for diagnostic and therapeutic purpose. However, there are limited data on pediatric. This study aimed to determine demographic characteristic, clinical presentation, colonoscopy findings, and to encourage routinely report assessment of bowel preparation quality(BPQ) using Boston Bowel Preparation scale(BBPs).Methods This five years descriptive retrospective study, conducted at Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. All patient(≤18 years of age) who had colonoscopy from July 2010 to December 2014 was included. Patient was categorised as s, 18months-3years, 3years-6years, and >6years and the findings was reported separately in each group. Data on age, sex, clinical presentation and colonoscopy findings was collected and analysed. All the patient bowel preparation method was followed as per hospital protocol and the BPQ assessed using *** Overall, our series included a total of 902 pediatric patients with a mean age of 5.2±4.0 years(range:0-17.5years). There was 597(66.1%) boys and 205(33.8%) girls with ratio 2:1. Among these, the distribution by age groups was 198(21.9%) patients in s, 174(19.2%) patients in 18months-3years, 222(24.6%) patients in 3years-6years, and 308(34.1%) patients in >6years *** most common presenting symptoms was hematochezia in 565(62.6%) patients, diarrhea in 206(22.8%) patients, and abdominal pain in 172(18.8%) patients. Other presenting symptoms was fever in 77(8.5%) patients, pallor in 25(2.7%) patients, melena in 15(1.6%) patients, prolapse of polyp in 9(0.9%) patients, oral pigmentation in 7(0.7%) patients, no weight gain in 2(0.2%) patients and others in 21(2.4%) *** 652(72.2%) patients had positive findings with the main findings being Polyp(s) in 302(33.4%) patients, Unspecific Colitis in 131(14.5%) patients and Food Induced Proctocolitis(FPIPC) in 108(11.9%) patients.
