3D Echocardiogram Reconstruction Employing a Flip Directional Texture Pyramid

Three dimensional(3D)echocardiogram enables cardiologists to visua-lize suspicious cardiac structures in *** recent years,this three-dimensional echocardiogram carries important clinical value in virtual surgical ***,this 3D echocardiogram involves a trade-off difficulty between accu-racy and efficient computation in clinical *** paper presents a novel Flip Directional 3D Volume Reconstruction(FD-3DVR)method for the recon-struction of echocardiogram *** proposed method consists of two main steps:multiplanar volumetric imaging and 3D volume *** the crea-tion of multiplanar volumetric imaging,two-dimensional(2D)image pixels are mapped into voxels of the volumetric *** the obtained slices are discontin-uous,there are some missing voxels in the volume *** restore the structural and textural information of 3D ultrasound volume,the proposed method creates a volume pyramid in parallel with theflip directional texture ***,the nearest neighbors of missing voxels in the multiplanar volumetric imaging are identified by 3D ANN(Approximate Nearest Neighbor)patch matching ***,aflip directional texture pyramid is proposed and aggregated with distance in patch matching tofind out the most similar *** the recon-struction step,structural and textural information obtained from differentflip angle directions can reconstruct 3D volume well with the desired ***-pared with existing 3D reconstruction methods,the proposed Flip Directional 3D Volume Reconstruction(FD-3DVR)method provides superior performance for the mean peak signal-to-noise ratio(40.538 for the proposed method I and 39.626 for the proposed method II).Experimental results performed on the cardi-ac datasets demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method for the reconstruc-tion of echocardiogram images.

spectroscopic investigations on Dy^(3+) ions doped zinc lead alumino borate glasses for photonic device applications

This paper presents the structural, optical absorption, photoluminescence (PL) and decay spectral properties of Dy^(3+)ions doped zinc lead alumino borate (ZPAB) glasses to elucidate their possible usage in photonic devices such as w-LEDs and lasers. A broad hump shown by the XRD spectrum recorded for an un-doped ZPAB glass confirms its non-crystalline nature. The Judd-Ofelt (J-O) intensity parameter evaluated from the measured oscillator strengths of the absorption spectral features were used to estimate various radiative parameters and also to understand the nature of bonding between Dy^(3+)ions and oxygen ligands. Under 350 nm excitation, the as-prepared glasses are exhibiting two emission bands^4F_(9/2)→~6H_(15/2)(blue),and^4F_(9/2)→~6H_(13/2)(yellow) at 483 and 575 nm,respectively. From the PL spectra,the Y/B ratio values, CIE chromaticity color coordinates and color correlated temperature (CCT) were evaluated. The experimental lifetimes measured from the decay profiles are decreasing with increase in Dy^(3+)ions concentration in these glasses which may be attributed to the cross-relaxation and nonradiative multiphonon relaxation process. Decay profiles observed for higher concentration were well fitted to Inokuti-Hirayama (I-H) model to understand the energy transfer process and subsequent decrease in experimental lifetimes. The higher values of radiative parameters, emission cross-sections,quantum efficiency, optical gain and gain band width suggest the suitability of 0.5 mol%of Dy^(3+) ions in these ZPAB glasses for the photonic device application.

Feeding patterns of Indian giant flying squirrel(Petaurista philippensis, Elliot 1839) with reference to seasonal variation in central Gujarat, India

Indian Giant Flying squirrel(Petaurista philippensis Elliot 1839)is widely distributed in south Asia and the only species of flying squirrel found in *** studied the seasonal variation in its feeding behaviour at selected sites of Central *** sampling was employed to study the behaviours and mainly feeding *** analyses were consistent with other studies and indicated Madhuca longifolia as an important food *** diet of the species mainly consisted of pith,twig,seed,bark,petiole,young to mature leaves,flower and fruits of 20 species of plants of 15 families along with lichens,Vanda tessellata and Dendrophthoe *** longifolia(25%)contributed most to the squirrel diet,followed by Diospyros melanoxylon(10%)and Terminalia tomentosa(9%).Among the plant parts consumed,pith formed the highest bulk as a food at 23%,followed by fruits(21%),bark(16%),twig(14%),flower(10%),seed(6%),leaf(6%),and bud(4%).The findings reveal the high dependency of flying squirrel on certain tree *** tree species are well represented and distributed throughout central Gujarat,indicating that this area is important for the survival of this species and that the area should be conserved for protection and future management of this species.

Objective:To investigate the preliminary phytochemistry and antibacterial activity of the flower extract of Peltophorum ***:Phytochemical analysis was done by using the standard methods given by *** methanolic flower extract were tested against Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumonia,Pseudomonas *** aureus. Bacillus cereus,salmonella typhi,serratia marsecens,Acinetobacter *** sp., Proteus *** faecalis and streptococcus pyogenes by the agar disc diffusion ***:Preliminary phytochemical screening of flower extract showed the presence of phenolic compounds,***,steroids,tannins,xanthoproteic,carboxylic acids, coumarins and *** flower extract of Peltophorum pteroearpum showed significant activity against four gram positive(staphylococcus *** *** faecalis and streptococcus pyogenes) and three gram negative bacteria(Proteus mirabilis,Acinetohacter baumannii and serratia marsecens).out of 12 pathogenic bacteria ***:The findings of the present study confirm the presence of significant antibacterial activity against human pathogens in the flowers of Peltophorum pleracarpum.

The emergence of vegetable oil as a promising alternative lubricant in the tribological application space has fueled research for making these oils as useful as mineral *** modification of vegetable oil by the addition of TiO_(2)/gC_(3)N_(4)nanocomposite(as a nanoadditive)was studied *** dispersion of the nanoadditive in the vegetable oil showed good oil dispersion stability without the addition of any *** tribological studies were conducted in a four-ball tester using AsTM standard *** addition,the effect of temperature on tribological performance was also studied to understand the oxidation behavior of vegetable *** results showed a significant improvement in friction and wear properties of the optimized *** mechanism behind the improvement in friction and wear properties is annotated in this paper.

Waste fly ash-ZnO as a novel sunlight-responsive photocatalyst for dye discoloration

Treating waste with a waste material using freely available solar energy is the most effective way towards sustainable *** this study,a novel photocatalyst,partly derived from waste material from the coal industry,was *** ash hybridized with ZnO(FAeZn)was synthesized as a potential photocatalyst for dye *** synthesized photocatalyst was characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and ultravioletevisible/near infra-red *** photocatalytic activity was examined with the discoloration of methylene blue used as synthetic dye *** the experiments were performed in direct *** photocatalytic performance of FAeZn was found to be better than that of ZnO and the conventionally popular *** LangmuireHinshelwood model rate constant values of ZnO,TiO2,and FAeZn were found to be 0.016 min1,0.017 min1,and 0.020 min1,*** were two reasons for this:(1)FAeZn was able to utilize both ultraviolet and visible parts of the solar spectrum,and(2)its BrunauereEmmetteTeller surface area and porosity were significantly *** led to increased photon absorption and dye adsorption,thus exhibiting an energy-efficient ***,FAeZn,partly derived from waste,can serve as a suitable material for environmental remediation and practical solar energy applications.

Nonlinear model predictive control with relevance vector regression and particle swarm optimization

In this paper, a nonlinear model predictive control strategy which utilizes a probabilistic sparse kernel learning technique called relevance vector regression （RVR） and particle swarm optimization with controllable random exploration velocity （PsO-CREV） is applied to a catalytic continuous stirred tank reactor （CsTR） process. An accurate reliable nonlinear model is first identified by RVR with a radial basis function （RBF） kernel and then the optimization of control sequence is speeded up by PsO-CREV. Additional stochastic behavior in PsO-CREV is omitted for faster convergence of nonlinear optimization. An improved system performance is guaranteed by an accurate sparse predictive model and an efficient and fast optimization algorithm. To compare the performance, model predictive control （MPC） using a deterministic sparse kernel learning technique called Least squares support vector machines （Ls-sVM） regression is done on a CsTR. Relevance vector regression shows improved tracking performance with very less computation time which is much essential for real time control.
