Plasma polymerized hexamethyldisilazane thin films in RF remote plasma system: effect of substrate distance from plasma source

Organosilicone thin films were created through plasma polymerization in a PECVD system， utilizing HMDsN as a monomer precursor， at varying distances (25 mm， 35 mm， 45 mm， 55 mm， and 65 mm) from the plasma source to the substrate. Research has examined how the distance between the substrate and plasma source impacts the properties of thin films， including their thickness， surface morphology， and photoluminescence (PL). It was discovered that as the distance from the source increased， both film thickness and PL intensity also increased. Additionally， the film was observed to be more uniform and smoother when deposited 45 mm below the plasma source.

In this paper, the problem of finding exact solutions to the magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) equations in the presence of incompressible mass flows with helical symmetry is considered. For ideal flows, a similarity reduction method is used to obtain exact solutions for several MHD flows with nonlinear variable Mach number. For resistive flows parallel to a magnetic field, the governing equilibrium equation is derived. The MHD equilibrium state of a helically symmetric incompressible flow is governed by a second-order elliptic partial differential equation(PDE) for the helical magnetic flux function. Exact solutions for the latter equation are obtained. Also, the equilibrium equations of a gravitating plasma with incompressible flow are derived.

Airborne LiDAR data are usually collected with partially overlapping strips in order to serve a seamless and fine resolution mapping *** of the factors limiting the use of intensity data is the presence of striping noise found in the overlapping *** recent researches have proposed physical and empirical approaches for intensity data correction,the effect of striping noise has not yet been *** paper presents a radiometric normalization technique to normalize the intensity data from one data strip to another one with partial *** normalization technique is built based on a second-order polynomial function fitted on the joint histogram plot,which is generated with a set of pairwise closest data points identified within the overlapping *** proposed method was tested with two individual LiDAR datasets collected by Teledyne Optech’s Gemini(1064 nm)and Orion(1550 nm)*** experimental results showed that radiometric correction and normalization can significantly reduce the striping noise found in the overlapping LiDAR intensity data and improve its capability in land cover *** coefficient of variation of five selected land cover features was reduced by 19–65%,where a 9–18%accuracy improvement was achieved in different classification *** the proven capability of the proposed method,both radiometric correction and normalization should be applied as a pre-processing step before performing any surface classification and object recognition.

A new mixed method for relative error model order reduction is proposed. In the proposed method the frequency domain balanced stochastic truncation method is improved by applying the generalized singular perturbation method to the frequency domain balanced system in the reduction procedure. The frequency domain balanced stochastic truncation method, which was proposed in [15] and [17] by the author, is based on two recently developed methods, namely frequency domain balanced truncation within a desired frequency bound and inner-outer factorization techniques. The proposed method in ttiis paper is a carry over of the frequency-domain balanced stochastic truncation and is of interest for practical model order reduction because in this context it shows to keep the accuracy of the approximation as high as possible without sacrificing the computational efficiency and important system properties. It is shown that some important properties of the frequency domain stochastic balanced reduction technique are extended to the proposed reduction method by using the concept and properties of the reciprocal systems. Numerical results show the accuracy, simplicity and flexibility enhancement of the method.

The relationship between the microstructure and the practical performance of two different copper-beryllium alloys including their lifetime has been ***,two valves made of two different alloys with very similar compositions and the same heat treatment methods were investigated by various standard techniques including metallography,X-ray diffraction,chemical composition,microhardness,and thermal conductivity *** both alloys experienced the same heat-treatment processes,they revealed different thermal and mechanical properties due to the minor difference in their chemical *** alloy providing a longer lifetime (40%more) as the tip had a higher thermal conductivity of 280.3 W(m·K)^(-1) (about two times that of the other alloy).Regarding the metallography images and the measured thermal conductivity values of the alloys,the extended lifetime of the nozzle with the optimum performance is ascribed to its biphasic microstructure and the minor grain boundaries and interfacial thermal *** important difference in the chemical composition was investigated in this study.

Herein, the fabrication of cellulose acetate (CA) silica-based nanocomposite membranes via the dry-wetphase inversion procedure for water desalination was investigated. The modified and unmodified silicananoparticles (MsNPs and sNPs) were prepared by the sol-gel technique. The effect of the sNPs andMsNPs was investigated on the CA membrane's properties and their performance for water *** CA nanocomposite membranes were characterized to study their structure, hydrophilicity, andmorphology. The fabricated nanocomposite membranes showed hydrophilic surface properties. Theperformance of reverse osmosis (RO) membranes was measured using a crossflow RO unit at 10 bar(1 bar = 0.1 MPa). The membrane with 10 mg of sNPs enhanced permeate water flux compared to thepristine CA membrane by 1.6 L/(m2·h). The effect of MsNPs on the nanocomposites' performance waslower than their counterpart in the case of adding sNPs. The membrane with 30 mg of MsNPs showedthe highest permeate water flux among other nanocomposite membranes with a value oAQsf 35.7 L/(m2·h)at 24 bar.

Perovskite solar cells could strongly compete with the silicon solar cells in the market soon as illustrated in recent *** this work,promising and stable metal-free perovskite solar cells(PsCs)has been successfully fabricated using an inorganic snO_(2)/Quantum dot snO_(2)(QD-snO_(2))double layer as an efficient electron transport layer via a low-temperature solution *** fully-air fabricated PsCs in the form of FTO/snO_(2)/QD-snO_(2)/CH3NH3PbI3/Carbon were tested at different annealed QD-snO_(2) between 300 and 500℃.The as-prepared QD-snO_(2) and the fabricated devices are characterized by various techniques,including XRD,XPs,HR-TEM,FE-sEM,UVeviseNIR spectroscopy,PL,and solar *** prepared QD-snO_(2) at 300℃ has shown well-ordered nanoparticles of 5.6 nm in diameter with superior carrier density(1.5×10^(15) cm^(-3))and highest carrier mobility(64.1 cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1)),accelerating the carriers separation process within the *** best devices demonstrated a maximum power conversion effi-ciency(PCE)of 11.7%,VOC 0.81 V,JsC 19.5 mA·cm^(-2),and FF 74%.The presence of an interfacial layer of QDsnO_(2) over the blocking snO_(2) upsurges the band gaps alignment and accelerates the carriers extraction rate affecting the performance of the fabricated perovskite ***,the optimized fabricated devices revealed a shelf stability-life of four months in humid air(40%-50%)with>83%of its initial *** simple synthetic approach can develop the opportunities to transfer the cell from the lab to the market,which will be compatible with large-scale production.
