Effect of CuO Addition on the sintering Behavior and electrical Conductivity of 3Y-TZP

Yttria stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystals （3Y-TZP） doped with CuO was prepared, to get two compositions, 0.3 and 1 mole fraction CuO, respectively. The dilatometric study of the samples showed sintering to be improved for the samples doped with 0.3 mole fraction CuO, and to be deteriorated for the samples doped with 1 mole fraction CuO. The 1 mole fraction CuO doped 3Y-TZP showed higher tetragonal/monoclinic phase transformation which was accompanied by grain growth. The electrical conductivity decreased with the addition of CuO.

The isothermal tetragonal-to-monoclinic phase transformation of 3 mol fraction Y2O3-ZrO2 ceramics contain- ing different amounts of Al2O3 during ageing in water at 130℃ for periods of time up to 40 h was investigated to explore the effect of Al2O3 addition on this transformation. The propagation of the transformation into the specimen interiors was suppressed by the addition of Al2O3. The transformation kinetics showed a nucleation and growth mechanism on the specimen surface to be dominant in the low temperature ageing in water environment.

Among the crop production factors,preceding crop and tillage management affect the sustainable use of soil resources and ultimately crop growth and *** study aimed at investigating the impact of preceding winter crops(grass or legume)and different tillage systems on forage yield,quality and nutritive values of three summer grass(sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte)and two legume forage crops(cowpea and guar)under arid *** results exhibited that growing forage crops after legumes(as berseem clover)produced the highest fresh and dry forage yields and quality attributes compared with grasses(as wheat)with the exception of crude fiber content,which was ***,tillage practices showed positive impact on forage yields and quality *** maximum forage yields and quality parameters were recorded under conventional tillage(CT)practice compared with reduced tillage(RT)and no-tillage(NT)*** the evaluated crops,the highest yields of fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein and total digestible nutrient were exhibited by grass forage crops(sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte),whereas the highest crude protein content and the digestible energy values were produced by legume forage crops(cowpea and guar).The maximum fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein,total digestible nutrient and digestible crude protein yields were produced by pearl millet followed by sudan grass under CT and RT after berseem *** highest net return was recorded by sowing pearl millet after berseem clover and applying CT followed by RT practices,which could be recommended for the commercial ***,it could be assumed that the combination of growing grass forage crops after legume crops under CT or RT systems could enhance forage crop yield and quality with an improvement in soil properties for sustainable agriculture with low cost and the highest net income.

Physical and Dielectric Properties of some Nonionic surfactants

Fatty acid esters have been prepared by reacting the acid C//1//8 with polyethylene glycols having varying numbers of oxyethylene units (4-88 units) by the direct esterification reaction method. surface and interfacial tensions were studied at various experimental conditions, including, concentration, temperature and chemical constitution of the surfactant. Critical micelle concentrations (CmC), surface excess and residual area occupied by each surface active agent molecule A have been calculated by using Gibb's equations. CmC values range from 10 to 55 multiplied by 10** minus **5 mole/L for all studied agents, while the residual area occupied by each molecule varies from 0.6 to 1.5 nm**2. Variation of CmC of some of these agents with temperature have been also examined and the obtained data were used to calculate the heat of micellization delta H//m and the entropy change during micellization delta s//m. Values of delta H//m vary from 14.63 kJ/mole to 2.717 kJ/mole depending on the chemical constitution of the agent under consideration. The dielectric constants and the dielectric loss, as well as the activation energy of dielectric relaxation of silylated cellulose were measured within the frequency range 10**5 to 10**7 Hz and the temperature range from 10 to 50 degree C. The test samples were activated cellulose with ethylene diamine, with sodium hydroxide and inactivated cellulose before and after silylation. The measurements were carried out using a multi-deka-meter. Cellulose molecules are more activated by treatment with ethylene diamine than with sodium hydroxide. Generally, silylation causes a marked decrease of the dielectric constant and dielectric loss, meanwhile the silylated samples are affected with the pretreatment of linters with sodium hydroxide and ethylene diamine.
