the nuclear mean-field potential built up during the ^(12)C+^(12)C and ^(16)O+^(16)O collisions at low energies relevant for the carbon-and oxygen-burning processes is constructed within the double-folding model(DFM) using the realistic ground-state densities of^(12)C and^(16)O, and CDM3Yn density-dependent nucleon–nucleon(NN) interaction. the rearrangement term, indicated by the Hugenholtz–van Hove theorem for the single-particle energy in nuclear matter, is properly considered in the DFM calculation. to validate the use of the density-dependent NN interaction at low energies, an adiabatic approximation was suggested for the dinuclear overlap density. the reliability of the nucleus–nucleus potential predicted through this low-energy version of the DFM was tested in the optical model(OM) analysis of the elastic^(12)C+^(12)C and ^(16)O+^(16)O scattering data at energies below 10 MeV/*** OM results provide a consistently good description of the elastic angular distributions and 90 excitation function. the dinuclear mean-field potential predicted by the DFM is further used to determine the astrophysical s factor of the ^(12)C+^(12)C and ^(16)O+^(16)O fusions in the barrier penetration model. Without any adjustment of the potential strength, our results reproduce the non-resonant behavior of the s factor of the ^(12)C+^(12)C and ^(16)O+^(16)O fusions very well over a wide range of energies.

Mining industrial areas with anthropogenic engineering structures are one of the most distinctive features of the real world.3D models of the real world have been increasingly popular with numerous applications,such as digital twins and smart factory *** this study,3D models of mining engineering structures were built based on the CityGML *** collecting spatial data,the two most popular geospatial technologies,namely UAV-sfM and tLs were *** accuracy of the UAV survey was at the centimeter level,and it satisfied the absolute positional accuracy requirement of creat-ing all levels of detail(LoD)according to the CityGML ***,the UAV-sfM point cloud dataset was used to build LoD 2 *** addition,the comparison between the UAV-sfM and tLs sub-clouds of facades and roofs indicates that the UAV-sfM and tLs point clouds of these objects are highly consistent,therefore,point clouds with a higher level of detail and accuracy provided by the integration of UAV-sfM and tLs were used to build LoD 3 *** resulting 3D CityGML models include 39 buildings at LoD 2,and two mine shafts with hoistrooms,headframes,and sheave wheels at LoD3.

the benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(MsK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving MsK anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of MsK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).Many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement MsK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

Detection of enzyme biomarkers originating from either bio-fluids or contaminating microorganisms is of utmost importance in clinical diagnostics and food safety. Herein, we present a simple, low-cost and easy-to-use sensing approach based on the switchable peroxidase-mimicking activity of plasmonic gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) that can catalyse for the oxidation of 3,3’,5’5-tetramethylbenzidine (tMB) for the determination of protease enzyme. the AuNP surface is modified with casein, showing dual functionalities. the first function of the coating molecule is to suppress the intrinsic peroxidase-mimicking activity of AuNPs by up to 77.1%, due to surface shielding effects. secondly, casein also functions as recognition sites for the enzyme biomarker. In the presence of protease, the enzyme binds to and catalyses the degradation of the coating layer on the AuNP surface, resulting in the recovery of peroxidase-mimicking activity. this is shown visually in the development of a blue colored product (oxidised tMB) or spectroscopically as an increase in absorbance at 370 and 650 nm. this mechanism allows for the detection of protease at 44 ng·mL^-1 in 90 min. the nanosensor circumvents issues associated with current methods of detection in terms of ease of use, compatibility with point-of-care testing, low-cost production and short analysis time. the sensing approach has also been applied for the detection of protease spiked in ultra-heat treated (UHt) milk and synthetic human urine samples at a limit of detection of 490 and 176 ng·mL^-1, respectively, showing great potential in clinical diagnostics, food safety and quality control.

A palladium catalyst immobilized on superparaganetic nanoparticles was prepared with a palladium loading of 0.30 mmol/g. the catalyst was characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and nitrogen adsorption. the immobilized palladium catalyst was an efficient catalyst without added phosphine ligands for the suzuki cross-coupling reaction of several aryl bromides with phenylboronic acid. the recovery of catalyst was simply by magnetic decantation in the presence of a magnet. the immobilized palladium catalyst can be reused many times without significant degradation in catalytic activity. No leaching of active palladium species into the reaction solution was detected.

this paper is concerned with the modeling of randomness in multiscale analysis of heterogeneous materials. More specifically, a framework dedicated to the stochastic modeling of random properties is first introduced. A probabilistic model for matrix-valued second-order random fields with symmetry propertries, recently proposed in the literature, is further reviewed. Algorithms adapted to the Monte Carlo simulation of the proposed representation are also provided. the derivations and calibration procedure are finally exemplified through the modeling of the apparent properties associated with an elastic porous microstructure containing stochastic interphases.

During their life,t cells are constantly circulating throughout the ***-1-phosphate(s1P),a sphingolipid metabolite,triggers t cell egress from the thymus and secondary lymphoid organs(sLO)into the lymph and the *** phenomenon is dependent on the s1P gradient between lymphoid organs(including thymus and sLO)and the lymphatic and blood vessels,which exhibit low,intermediate and high s1P levels,respectively.t cells follow the s1P gradient via the engagement of the G-protein-coupled receptor s1P receptor 1(s1P1)expressed on t cells.1 s1P production is regulated by various sphingolipid-metabolizing *** sphingosine kinases 1 and 2(sKs),encoded by sphk1 and sphk2,phosphorylate the sphingosine(sph)into ***,s1P can be dephosphorylated to sph by s1P phosphatases 1 and 2,encoded by sgpp1 and ***,s1P can be irreversibly degraded by the s1P Lyase(sPL),encoded by sgpl1,into phosphoethanolamine and hexadecenal.

this review highlights the recent applications of non-linear optical(NLO)microscopy to study obesity-related health risks.A strong emphasis is given to the applications of coherent anti-stokes raman scattering(CArs)microscopy where multiple non-linear optical imaging modalities including CArs,sum-frequency generation(sFG),and two-photon fluorescence are employed simultaneously on a single microscope *** examples on applications of NLO microscopy to study lipid-droplet biology,obesity-cancer relationship,atherosclerosis,and lipidrich biological structures are discussed.

We present an optical and photoelectron spectroscopic study to elucidate the interfacial electronic properties of organic-inorganic semiconductor heterojunctions formed in a kinetically blocked heptazethrene triisopropylsilyl ethynylene (HZ-tIPs) and its homologue,octazethrene (OZ-tIPs) on an all-inorganic perovskite cesium lead bromide (CsPbBr3) *** photoluminescence behavior of the underlying perovskites upon differing molecular doping conditions was *** turns out that the charge transfer dynamics of thermally-evaporated OZ-tIPs molecule exhibited a faster average lifetime than that of the HZ-tIPs case suggesting the importance of the biradical state in the former *** interfacial dipole was formed at the interface due to the competing interaction between the dispersion force of the bulky tIPs-substituent group and the attractive van der Waals interaction at the first few *** spectroscopy of the physisorbed HZ-tIPs shows chemical shifts,which indicates electron transfer from HZ-tIPs molecules to the CsPbBr3 perovskite single *** contrast,the adsorbed OZ-tIPs molecular layer on CsPbBr3 demonstrates the opposite trend indicating a hole transfer *** average molecular orientation as determined by near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFs) suggests that the HZ-tIPs molecular plane is generally lifted with respect to the perovskite *** suggest that the nature of the closed-shell electronic ground state of HZ-tIPs could contribute to the formation of interfacial dipole at the molecule/perovskite interface.
