Highly specific interactions between biomolecules,such as antigen-antibody,protein-ligand,or nucleic acid base pair complementary are on the basis of the organization of complex *** same principles may be tentatively used in molecular medicine for diagnosis and therapeutics.A molecule can be designed to selectively bind a protease and thereby inhibit the production of a peptide that forms toxic aggregates in the brain or an antibody may be produced to bind specifically to that peptide for detection or clearance ***,interference in biological systems is not that *** a start there is the inhibition of the physiological role of the protease;moreover,several cleavage fragments may be produced,which may continue to diverge due to putative post-translational modification and self-assembly processes,hiding the toxic target in a“soup”of peptide species varying in size,structure and chemical composition.A perspective of the current status and challenges in targeting peptide species for diagnosis and treatment in the context of Alzheimer’s disease is given.

Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the faculty of medicine,suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(mDA),glutathione(GsH),superoxide dismutase(sOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pmerase chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNf-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(Nf-κB)mRNA levels(all Psticular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.

strain engineering,as a powerful strategy to tune the optical and electrical properties of two-dimensional(2D)materials by deforming their crystal lattice,has attracted significant interest in recent years.2D materials can sustain ultra-high strains,even up to 10%,due to the lack of dangling bonds on their surface,making them ideal brittle *** remarkable mechanical resilience,together with a strong strain-tunable band structure,endows 2D materials with a broad optical and electrical response upon ***,strain engineering based on 2D materials is restricted by their nanoscale and strain quantification *** this study,we have modified a homebuilt three-points bending apparatus to transform it into a four-points bending apparatus that allows for the application of both compressive and tensile strains on 2D *** approach allows for the efficient and reproducible construction of a strain system and minimizes the buckling effect caused by the van der Waals interaction by adamantane encapsulation *** results demonstrate the feasibility of introducing compressive strain on 2D materials and the potential for tuning their optical and physical properties through this approach.

One-neutron stripping process between^(6)Li and^(209)Bi was studied at 28,30,and 34 meV using the in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy ***γ-γcoincident analysis clearly identified twoγ-rays feeding the ground and long-lived isomeric states,which were employed to determine the cross *** one-neutron stripping cross sections were similar to the cross sections of complete fusion in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi system,but the one-neutron stripping cross sections decreased more gradually at the sub-barrier region.A coupled-reaction-channel calculation was performed to study the detailed reaction mechanism of the one-neutron stripping process in^(6)*** calculations indicated that the first excited state of 5 Li is critical in the actual one-neutron transfer mechanism,and the valence proton of 209Bi can be excited to the low-lying excited state in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p)reaction.

memory loss and dementia are major public health concerns with a substantial economic *** stress has been shown to play a crucial role in the pathophysiology of hippocampal damage-induced memory *** investigate whether the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound vanillyla cetone(zingerone) can protect against hippocampal damage and memory loss induced by cadmium chloride(CdCl_(2)) administration in rats,we explo red the potential involvement of the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2) signaling pathway,which is known to modulate oxidative stress and *** healt hy male Wistar rats were divided into five groups:vehicle-treated(control),vanillylacetone,CdCl_(2),vanillylacetone+ CdCl_(2),vanillylacetone+ CdCl_(2)+ brusatol(a selective pharmacological N rf2inhibitor) *** effectively attenuated CdCl_(2)-induced damage in the dental gyrus of the hippocampus and improved the memory function assessed by the morris Water maze ***,vanillylacetone markedly decreased the hippocampal tissue levels of inflammatory biomarkers(interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α,intracellular cell adhesive molecules) and apoptosis biomarkers(Bax and cleaved caspase-3).The control and CdCl_(2)-treated groups treated with va nillylacetone showed reduced generation of reactive oxygen species,decreased malondialdehyde levels,and increased superoxide dismutase and glutathione activities,along with significant elevation of nuclear Nrf2 mRNA and protein expression in hippocampal *** the protective effects of vanillylacetone we re substantially blocked by the co-administration of brusatol(a selective N rf2 inhibitor).Va nillylacetone mitigated hippocampal damage and memory loss induced by CdCl_(2),at least in part, by activating the nuclear transcription factor ***,vanillylacetone exerted its potent antioxidant and antiinflammatory actions.

The increasing trend for integrating renewable energy sources into the grid to achieve a cleaner energy system is one of the main reasons for the development of sustainable microgrid(mG)*** typical power-electronized power systems,mGs make extensive use of power electronics converters,which are highly controllable and flexible but lead to a profound impact on the dynamic performance of the whole *** with traditional large-capacity power systems,mGs are less resistant to perturbations,and various dynamic variables are coupled with each other on multiple timescales,resulting in a more complex system instability *** meet the technical and economic challenges,such as active and reactive power-sharing,voltage,and frequency deviations,and imbalances between power supply and demand,the concept of hierarchical control has been introduced into mGs,allowing systems to control and manage the high capacity of renewable energy sources and ***,as the capacity and scale of the mG system increase,along with a multi-timescale control loop design,the multi-timescale interactions in the system may become more significant,posing a serious threat to its safe and stable *** investigate the multi-timescale behaviors and instability mechanisms under dynamic inter-actions for AC mGs,existing coordinated control strategies are discussed,and the dynamic stability of the system is defined and classified in this ***,the modeling and assessment methods for the stability analysis of multi-timescale systems are also ***,an outlook and discussion of future research directions for AC mGs are also presented.

Condition monitoring of the insulating system within power transformers has a massive importance according to the electrical *** gas analysis(DGA)is frequently used for this ***,DGA lacks the necessary level of accuracy to identify all equipment faults,particularly in their initial stages of ***,it does not have the capability for real-time monitoring and relies on manual sampling and laboratory testing,causing potential delays in fault ***,the interpretation of DGA data necessitates specialised expertise,which may pose difficulties for smaller entities that have limited access to ***,the contribution of this research is to use infrared spectroscopy measurements as a new effective technique substituting the DGA method for fault diagnosis in insulating *** inception faults that were considered in this study were the electrical fault(discharges of high energy)and the thermal fault(300°Cmperaturest cells were crafted especially for serving the simulation processes inside the laboratory for both types of inception ***,six samples of pure paraffinic mineral oil were taken to be degraded in the *** that,all of them besides another sample that were not subjected to any kind of faults were taken to be examined by fourier transform infrared(fTIR)spectroscopy to obtain an overview of the oil's behaviour in each fault *** that,the fTIR analysis was initially verified utilising the DGA ***,for further affirmation,the dielectric dissipation factor(DDf)for all samples was *** the final analysis,the verification tests provide experimental evidence about the outperformance of this new optical technique in detecting the transformer's inception faults in addition to proving its potential for being a superior alternative to the well-known traditional diagnostic techniques.

Egyptian species of the leafhopper genus Exitianus Ball,1929,***(st?l,1855),***(Distant,1908),and *** Ross,1968 are ***,morphological descriptions,and a key for their identification are *** this study,we used molecular techniques to confirm morphological identification and detect phylogeny among the three Exitianus *** partial nucleotide sequences of the amplified products obtained were determined by macrogen *** nucleotide sequences of 28s rDNA and COX genes of the EGY-ARC-9,EGY-ARC-4,and EGY-ARC-5 were determined by macrogen Korea,blasted into BLAsT at the National Center for Biotechnology Information website(NCBI)and compared with those deposited in the GenBank DNA *** results represented the homology percentage between the partial sequences of the 28s rRNA and COX genes from each species and related species obtained from GenBank DNA *** morphological identifications of the three Exitianus species were confirmed by molecular characterization and sequencing of 28s rDNA and COX genes and identified as ***,***,and ***,their sequences of 28srDNA and COX genes were deposited in GenBank with an accession number(LC670610,LC670607,and OQ196105)for 28srDNA gene and(LC775357,LC775358,and LC775359)for the COX gene.
