The objective of this paper is to discuss the Chameleon Brans–Dicke gravity with non-minimally matter coupling of scalar field. We take modified Holographic Ricci dark energy model in this gravity with its energy density in interaction with energy density of cold dark matter. We assume power-law ansatz for scale factor and scalar field to discuss potential as well as coupling functions in the evolving universe. These reconstructed functions are plotted versus scalar field and time for different values of power component of scale factor n. We observe that potential and coupling functions represent increasing behavior, in particular, consistent results for a specific value of n. Finally, we have examined validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics and we have observed its validity for all values of n.

The major advantage of natural products for random screening is the structural diversity provided by most available combinatorial approaches based on heterocyclic compounds. Clausena (Rutaceae) is a genus of about 23 species of unarmed trees and shrubs, mainly growing Indo-Malayan with a few in China, Africa and Australia. Ten species are known to grow in India, of which 5 are of economically importance. C. dentata, a plant of immense medicinal value was taken for detailed study for phytochemical, antibacterial and pharmacological investigations. The dry powder of the stem bark was extracted successively with 3 solvents viz., hexane, chloroform and methanol. The extracts were subjected to column chromatography. Four compounds were isolated. Two coumarins, 3-(1,1-dimethylallyl) xanthyletin and dentatin were isolated from hexane extract. The chloroform extract yielded another coumarin, nordentatin. An alkaloid, carbazole was isolated from methanol extract. All the compounds were identified based on spectral studies such as GC, UV, IR, NMR and Ms. This investigation is the first report of the dentatin and nordentatin stem bark of C. dentata. The 13C-NMR studies of dentatin and nordentatin have been carried out for the first time. The existence of carbazole alkaloid is reported for the first time in C. dentata. The compounds showed significant antibacterial activity against E. coli, salmonella typhi, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Vibrio cholerae and staphylococcus aureus. The activity by dentatin and nordentatin against Vibrio cholerae was comparable with standard antibiotic ciprofloxacin. All the 3 extracts and the 4 isolated compounds were tested for various pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammatory, analgesic and hepatoprotective effect for extracts, anticoagulant, antiplatelet aggregation, prothrombin time and effect on perfused frog heart for isolated compounds. The present study is the first report for pharmacological activities of C. dentata.

The effects of cold deformation on the formation of strain induced α’ martensite and mechanical properties of an austenitic stainless steel have been examined.X-ray diffraction analysis has revealed that 30% and 40% cold rolling have resulted in the formation of 24% and 31.5% martensite *** investigation has demonstrated that the formation of martensite is enhanced with increase in the percent deformation at 0 ℃.Investigation of mechanical properties reveals that hardness,yield strength and tensile strength values increase where as percent elongation drops with increasing *** fractographic observation corroborates the tensile *** of sub-surface at the fractured end of the tensile sample manifests that void/microcrack nucleation occurs in the interfacial regions of the martensite phase as well as at the austenite-martensite interface

The propagation of three-dimensional plane waves at a traction free boundary of a half-space composed of triclinic crystalline material is discussed. A method has been developed to find the analytical expressions of all the three phase velocities of quasi-P （qP）, quasi-sV （qsV） and quasi-sH （qsH） in three dimensions. Closed form expressions in three dimensions for the amplitude ratios of reflection coefficients of qP, qsV and qsH waves in a triclinic medium are obtained. These expressions are used for numerically studying the variation of the reflection coetticients with the angle of incidence. The graphs are drawn for different polar angle and azimuth. Numerical results presented indicate that the anisotropy affect the reflection coetticients significantly in the three dimensional case compared to the two-dimensional case.

BACKGROUND： Metabolic disorders such as Obesity, Diabetes Type 2 （T2DM） and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases （IBD） are the most prevalent globally. Recently, there has been a surge in the evidence indicating the correlation between the intestinal microbiota and development of these metabolic conditions apart from predisposing genetic and epigenetic factors. Gut microbiome is pivotal in controlling the host metabolism and physiology. But imbalances in the microbiota patterns lead to these disorders via several pathways. Animal and human studies so far have concentrated mostly on metagenomics for the whole microbiome characterization to understand how microbiome supports health in general. However, the accurate mechanisms connecting the metabolic disorders and alterations in gut microbial composition in host and the metabolites employed by the microorganisms in regulating the metabolic disorders is still vague. OBJECTIVE： The review delineates the latest findings about the role of gut microbiome to the pathophysiology of Obesity, IBD and Diabetes Mellitus. Here, we provide a brief introduction to the gut microbiome followed by the current therapeutic interventions in restoration of the disrupted intestinal microbiota. METHODs： A methodical PubMed search was performed using keywords like ＂gut microbiome,＂＂obesity, diabetes,＂＂IBD,＂ and ＂metabolic syndromes.＂ All significant and latest publications up to January 2018 were accounted for the review. REsULTs： Out of the 93 articles cited, 63 articles focused on the gut microbiota association to these disorders. The rest 18 literature outlines the therapeutic approaches in maintaining the gut homeostasis using probiotics, prebiotics and faecal microbial transplant （FMT）. CONCLUsION： Metabolic disorders have intricate etiology and thus a lucid understanding of the complex host-microbiome inter-relationships will open avenues to novel therapeutics for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the metabolic diseases.
