Transition metal oxide/hydroxide with multif unctional hierarchical nano structures has attracted widespread attention in supercapacitors(sCs)because of their large accessible surface area,high electrochemical activity and superior redox ***,core-shell-like copper(Cu)hydroxide nano tube arrays grafted nickel aluminum layered double hydroxide n anosheets were facilely synthesized on porous Cu foam(CH NTAs@NiAI LDH Nss)for use as an efficient battery-type electrode in hybrid *** the synergistic effects of NiAl LDH Nss on well-adhered CH NTAs/CF,the core-shell-like composite(prepared for 24 h)delivered a maximum areal capacity of 334.3 pAh/cm2 at a current density of 3 mA/cm2 in 2 M KOH electrolyte,which is comparatively higher than other samples synthesized at different growth ***,the core-shell-like CH NTAs@NiAI LDH Nss-24 demonstrated an outstanding cycling stability of 134.3%after 10,000 *** high capacity and stability of CH NTAs@NiAI LDH Nss-24,a pouch-type hybrid sC was further assembled with core-shell-like composite as a positive electrode and reduced graphene oxide as a negative electrode with a filter paper as a separator in aqueous alkaline *** hybrid sC showed a high areal capacity of 250 pAh/cm2 at 2 mA/cm2 with maximum areal energy and power densities of 181.9 pWh/cm2 and 24,991.5 pW/cm2,*** harvest!ng the solar energy via solar cell panel and subsequently delivering the stored en ergy to switching and proximity applicati ons also dem on strated the real-time applicability of our hybrid sCs.

The present investigation reports the soxhlet assisted solvent extraction technique to derive the oil from seeds of the rain *** optimization of the factors affecting the extraction process has been carried out by Response surface Methodology(RsM)technique,and a Box-Behnken Design(BBD)consisting of three process variables has been developed to optimize the yield of *** the RsM technique,the predicted optimum oil yield of 11.15%at an optimized condition of powder weight of 20 g,volume of solvent of 380 mL,and extraction time of 6 *** physiochemical properties of the oil showed liquid greenish-yellow with 0.88,1.473 of specific gravity and refractive index,***,the moisture content,free fatty acid,acid value,saponification value,iodine value,and peroxide value were found to be 0.16%,13.615,27.23,187.1 mg KOH per g oil,65.8 g I_(2) per 100 g,and 4.02 meq O_(2) per kg,*** the obtained results,it was found that the extracted oil could be used for various applications.

The electroosmotic flow of a micropolar fluid in a microchannel bounded by two parallel porous plates undergoing periodic vibration is studied. The equations for conservation of linear and angular momentums and Gauss＇s law of charge distribution are solved within the framework of the Debye-Hückel approximation. The fluid velocity and microrotation are assumed to depend linearly on the Reynolds number. The study shows that the amplitude of microrotation is highly sensitive to the changes in the magnitude of the suction velocity and the width of the microchannel. An increase in the micropolar parameter gives rise to a decrease in the amplitude of microrotation. Numerical estimates reveal that the microrotation of the suspended microelements in blood also plays an important role in controlling the electro-osmotically actuated flow dynamics in microbio-fluidic devices.

Role based access control is one of the widely used access control *** are investigations in the literature that use knowledge representation mechanisms such as formal concept analysis(FCA),description logics,and Ontology for representing access control ***,while using FCA,investigations reported in the literature so far work on the logic that transforms the three dimensional access control matrix into dyadic formal *** transformation is mainly to derive the formal concepts,lattice structure and implications to represent role hierarchy and constraints of *** this work,we propose a methodology that models RBAC using triadic FCA without transforming the triadic access control matrix into dyadic formal *** discussion is on two lines of *** present how triadic FCA can provide a suitable representation of RBAC policy and we demonstrate how this representation follows role hierarchy and constraints of RBAC on sample healthcare network available in the literature.

Traditionally seismic design of structures supported on piled raft foundation is performed by considering fixed base conditions, while the pile head is also considered to be fixed for the design of the pile foundation. Major drawback of this assumption is that it cannot capture soil-foundation-structure interaction due to flexibility of soil or the inertial interaction involving heavy foundation masses. Previous studies on this subject addressed mainly the intricacy in modelling of dynamic soil structure interaction (DssI) but not the implication of such interaction on the distribution of forces at various elements of the pile foundation and supported structure. A recent numerical study by the authors showed significant change in response at different elements of the piled raft supported structure when DssI effects are considered. The present study is a limited attempt in this direction, and it examines such observations through shake table tests. The effect of DssI is examined by comparing dynamic responses from fixed base scaled down model structures and the overall systems. This study indicates the possibility of significant underestimation in design forces for both the column and pile if designed under fixed base assumption. such underestimation in the design forces may have serious implication in the design of a foundation or structural element.

In this paper,we present observations of free oscillations of the Earth after major earthquakes in Chile(February 27,2010,Mw8.8)and Japan(March 11,2011,Mw9.1)using data from the dual-sphere superconducting gravimeter(sG-055),installed at Badargadh(23°0.47 N,70°0.62 E),Kutch,Gujarat,India in March *** see the noise characteristics,we calculated the power spectral density of the gravity time series of 5 quiet days in the frequency band 0.05-20 mHz using the new low noise model(NLNM)as a *** compared the noise level of the Badargadh site to other sG sites around the *** shows that the Badargadh sG is in a low noise *** find that the noise increases at frequencies below 1 *** a characteristic is also observed in Djougou(Afrique,Benin)and strasbourg(France).Using theoretical tides for Gujarat,we estimated a scale factor of about-814 nm/s~2/V for Gravl(lowersphere)and about-775 nm/s~2/V for Grav2(upper-sphere).We corrected the influence of atmospheric pressure from the one-second gravity data before switching to the frequency *** extracted a total of 53 Earth’s Free Oscillations(EFO)modes during the earthquake in Japan and about 47 EFO modes during the earthquake in *** are able to extract the lowest0s2spheroidal mode(0.30945 mHz or54 min)and0s0radial mode(0.81439 mHz or 20 min).The longer time series shows individual0s2singlets and0s3(0.46855 mHz)singlets due to the Coriolis splitting *** cross-referenced the frequencies of these modes using the PREM model and previous global *** correlation coefficient between the observed and the PREM model for these two events are 0.999 for Japan earthquake and 0.993 for Chile *** validates the quality of the data useful for low-frequency studies in *** also calculated the relative deviations of our observed fundamental modes with previously determined observed and theoretical *** found that the relative deviations of our observed free oscillations

Zinc oxide （ZnO） thin films were grown on silicon substrate by RF （radio frequency） magnetron *** topography of these films exhibited a nanostructured granular appearance with the size of individual grains between 50 to 100 *** cross-sectional electron micrographs revealed columnar grains in the form of aggregated nanorods/wires with length of about 500 nm,similar to the thickness of these thin films of ZnO nucleated and grown vertically on the silicon *** resolution lattice scale imaging using high resolution transmission electron microscope （HRTEM） elucidated the single crystalline 1010 planes of hexagonal-ZnO constituting the columnar grains with the individual nanorod diameter between 3 and 4 *** photoluminescence measurements showed the prominent emission peak at around 460 nm for the blue band,normally attributed to intrinsic defects in particular interstitial zinc （Zn）.These films were further characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）,Raman spectroscopy and electron paramagnetic resonance （EPR） to evaluate various aspects on preferred growth orientations,band structures and vibrational modes originated in such fascinating nano-grained thin films of *** present investigations inferred that these films are advantageous in various potential applications for fabricating nano-scaled devices.
