The underground organ microbial complexes of moorland spotted orchid <i>Dactylorhiza maculata</i>(L.) soó(Orchidaceae)

This paper is focused on the first study of microbiota of a moderate climate orchid from Northern hemisphere—Moorland spotted Orchid Dactylorhiza maculata (L.) soó growing in its natural habitat. There have been obtained detailed data concerning bacterial communities from rhizosphere and inner tissues of young and old tubers. It was done using the biomarker analysis method where the markers were detected by gas chromatography—mass-spectrometry. It is shown that the number of bacterial genera and the bacteria amount (105 - 108 CFU per gram of dry weight) in D. maculata microbial complexes decreases from rhizosphere to old tuber to young. At the same time all three bacterial cenoses closely resemble each other in biodiversity. Their constant members are gg. Hyphomicrobium, Methylococcus, Nitrobacter, Pseudomonas and sphingomonas (Proteobacteria), Bacillus and Clostridium (Firmicutes), Rhodococcus and streptomyces (Actinobacteria). There were found differences peculiar to the taxonomic structure of each microbial complex. The rhizosphere is dominated by Actinobacteria while in inner tissues Proteobacteria are prevalent. The bacteria of gg. Ochrobactrum, Xanthomonas, Butyrivibrio, Corynebacterium, Mycobacterium, Propionibacterium, sphingobacterium and specific iron reducers were shown to belong to rhizosphere community. Objective:Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is a deadly malignancy,due in large part to its resistance to conventional therapies,including radiotherapy(RT).Despite RT exerting a modest antitumor response,it has also been shown to promote an immunosuppressive tumor *** studies demonstrated that focal adhesion kinase inhibitors(FAKi)in clinical development inhibit the infiltration of suppressive myeloid cells and T regulatory(T regs)cells,and subsequently enhance effector T cell *** inhibitors in clinical development have not been investigated in combination with RT in preclinical murine models or clinical ***,we investigated the impact of FAK inhibition on RT,its potential as an RT sensitizer and immunomodulator in a murine model of ***:We used a syngeneic orthotopic murine model to study the effect of FAKi on hypofractionated ***:In this study we showed that IN10018,a small molecular FAKi,enhanced antitumor response to *** activity of the combination of FAKi and RT is T cell *** in combination with RT enhanced CD8+T cell infiltration significantly in comparison to the radiation or FAKi treatment alone(Ps but enhanced the infiltration of macrophages and T regs in comparison with the radiation or FAKi treatment alone(Psions:These results support the clinical development of FAKi as a radiosensitizer for PDAC and combining FAKi with RT to prime the tumor microenvironment of PDAC for immunotherapy.

Effects of Zr substitution on structural,morphological,and magnetic properties of bismuth iron oxide phases

The present study involves co-precipitation method to grow un-doped and Zr-doped bismuth iron oxide with x_（Zr）=0.10–0.30. The molar solutions of ferric chloride（FeCl_3）, zirconyle chloride（ZrOCl_2）, and bismuth chloride（BiCl_3） are prepared in distilled water, and are allowed to react with sodium hydroxide（Na OH）. The synthesized powders are then converted into pellets, which are sintered at 500℃ for two hours in a muffle furnace. X-ray diffraction（XRD） shows multi-phase formation in un-doped and Zr doped samples. scanning electron microscope（sEM） depicts layered structure at low Zr concentration x_（Zr）= 0.10, while uniform surface with smaller grains and voids is observed at x_（Zr）= 0.20, but at x_（Zr）= 0.30, cracks and voids become prominent. The ferromagnetic nature of the un-doped sample is observed by vibrating sample magnetometer（VsM）, while paramagnetic behavior appears due to Zr doping. The ferromagnetism in un-doped sample is lost by Zr doping, which is due to the formation of additional Fe–O–Zr bonds that induce paramagnetic behavior.

Hydromagnetic oscillatory Couette flow in rotating system with induced magnetic field

This paper presents a study of hydromagnetic Couette flow of an incompress- ible and electrically conducting fluid between two parallel rotating plates, one of which is oscillating in its own plane. A uniform transverse magnetic field is used, and the induced magnetic field is taken into account. The exact solution to the governing equations is obtained in a closed form. The solution to the problem in the case of vanishing and small finite magnetic Prandtl numbers is also derived from the general solution. The asymp- totic behavior of the solution for large values of the frequency parameter is analyzed to gain some physical insights into the flow pattern. Expressions for the shear stress at both the oscillatory and stationary plates due to primary and secondary flows and mass flow rate in the primary and secondary flow directions are also obtained. The results of the fluid velocity and the induced magnetic field are presented. The shear stresses on the plates due to the primary and secondary flows and the corresponding mass flow rates are presented in a tabular form.

some Technical solutions for Environmental Protection system during Accidents at Nuclear Power Plants

The paper reports some technical solutions, which suggested or used for increasing of environmental protection during accidents at NPPs. For NNPs with two protective shells and pressure release system such as WWER-1000 a comprehensive, passive-mode environmental protection system of decontamination of the radioactive steam-air mixture from the containment and the intercontainment area was suggested. This system includes the “wet” stage (scrubbers, etc.), the “dry” stage (sorption module), and also an ejector, which in a passive mode is capable of solving the multi-purpose task of decontamination of the air-steam mixture. For WWER-440/230 NPPs three protection levels: 1) a jet-vortex condenser;2) the spray system;3) a sorption module were suggested and installed. For modern designs of new generation NPPs, which do not provide for pressure release systems, a new passive filtering system together with the passive heat-removal system, which can be used during severe accidents in case all power supply units become unavailable, was proposed and after modernization was installed at the KudanKulam NPP (India).

X-Ray and VUV spectra from the Laser Plasma Produced with “Kanal-2” Facility

The paper presents experimental results obtained on “Kanal-2” facility. Laser radiation focusing on the surface of plane magnesium targets created the high temperature plasma, which emitted X-ray and vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) radiation. This radiation spectrum was investigated with two spectrographs: the mica crystal spectrograph (working range 8.2 ? - 9.6 ?) and the grazing incidence VUV spectrograph (working rage 30 ? - 130 ?). A set of beryllium stepwise attenuators appended the diagnostic complex and allowed us to get an approximated picture of a continuous spectrum within the range of 2.2 ? - 6.2 ?. The estimation of the plasma electron temperature Te from the ratio between the intensity of the dielectronic satellites and the resonance line gives Te ~ 180 eV. The ratio between the intensity of the resonance and intercombination lines gives the electron density of the emitting zone ne ~ 2 × 1019 cm-3. some lines observed within the spectral range of 8.5 ? - 9.1 ? belong to none of the transitions of Mg ions. Perhaps the observed spectrum is determined by the transitions in so-called hollow ions of Mg, i.e. in the ions with unfilled inner shells. The spectra obtained with the grazing incidence spectrograph and with the minimum-directioned discrepancy iteration method of spectrum reconstruction from the attenuation curve in the beryllium stepwise attenuators are also presented.

Touristic urbanization and greening of coastal dune fields:A long-term assessment of a temperate sandy barrier of Argentina

Dune barrier systems represent highly sought-after coastal landscapes for tourism and urban development around the world. However, a century ago, they were considered hazardous environments due to their great dynamic nature. As a result, stabilization practices were considered necessary. The systematic introduction of fast-growing exotic trees helped stabilize the sand, making it easier for tourism urbanization to take place, but also leading to erosion processes. This paper aims to assess long-term changes in vegetation cover over a large temperate barrier in Argentina. This complex region includes urban resorts, afforestation zones, and protected areas. A GIs-based geospatial analysis was conducted using a large satellite database(> 350 images), and the future evolution of the vegetation was modeled. The results revealed two primary spatiotemporal patterns associated with a gradual expansion of vegetation cover, accompanied by a concurrent reduction in sandy areas. In 1986, the dune area comprised 75% more surface than vegetation, whereas in 2021, it represented 60% less than vegetation. Furthermore, the 2050 scenario suggests a potential 40% reduction of dunes in certain areas. It is necessary to enhance management actions aimed at maintaining dune mobility and ensuring local and regional sediment balance. Long-term management strategies must focus on restoring native plant communities and controlling invasive species, and avoiding new dune fixation initiatives based on the introduction of exotic species.

The preparation for an experimental soft x-ray tomography study on the Heliotron J (H-J) machine is carried out,with the objectives of evaluating the capability of the current soft x-ray tomographic system in terms of the identification of different mode structures and their poloidal rotation,and the axis shift with different plasma and machine parameters,and fixing the physics goals for the experimental *** preparations were carried out via a simulated soft x-ray data set arising from different plasma conditions,such as magnetic islands,low beta and high *** x-ray tomography (sXT) is performed by the discrete pixel method including singular value decomposition and Phillips-Tikhonov regularization,to obtain clear and smooth *** H-J soft x-ray tomography results from simulated soft x-rays for the equilibrium H-J plasma sensed the magnetic axis shift clearly and an estimate was also *** reconstruction for mode structure m =1/n =1 was obtained along with the realization of the poloidal rotation of the *** reconstruction for the m =2/n =1 mode was not very clear for the current soft x-ray diagnostic *** mode identification was not possible due to the lack of *** sXT from the current soft x-ray diagnostic on H-J,the magnetic axis shift can be estimated and the m =1/n =1 mode can be *** of higher poloidal modes is difficult with the current design.
