Clinical-DnA Correlates.of Anxiety in Patients.with Ehlers.Danlos.s.ndrome

Introduction: Anxiety dis.rders.have a lifetime prevalence of 34% with a s.milar level of heritability (31%) yet lack objective markers.that could differentiate patients.with underlying conditions. Up to 60%-70% of patients.with Ehlers.Danlos.s.ndrome have anxiety that meets.criteria of generalized anxiety dis.rder, their clinical-DnA findings.worth examining as.biomarkers.for patients.with generalized anxiety. Method: Of the 1899 patients.diagnos.d with Ehlers.Danlos.s.ndrome, 1261 were s.s.ematically evaluated for 80 his.ory and 40 phys.cal findings.and s.parated into 826 who reported anxiety and 435 who did not. The mos. cons.s.ently reported or management-directing 60 of thes. clinical findings.were, along with variations.in genes.relevant to thes. dis.rders. examined for as.ociation with anxiety. Res.lts. Among the 30 anxiety- as.ociated findings.judged mos. predictive of Ehlers.Danlos.s.ndrome in patients.with anxiety were expected ones.of adrenergic s.imulation (difficulty concentrating-87% frequency and 1.26 anxiety/no anxiety ratio;chronic fatigue-84%, 1.17;s.eep is.ues.69%, 1.52 that are criteria for generalized anxiety dis.rder) or of cholinergic s.ppres.ion (e.g., frequent naus.a 64%, 1.26). Les. as.ociated but more dis.riminating for underlying dis.as. were thos. reflective of neuromus.ular impact (e.g., chronic daily headaches.76%, 1.12);hypermobility (e.g., awarenes. of flexibility 72%, 1.03), or s.in changes.(e.g., elas.icity around jaw 71%, 1.06). Anxiety-as.ociated DnA variants.included 54 of 88 in collagen type I/V/VII/IX genes. 14 of 16 in s.dium channel s.n9A/10A/ 11A genes. 59 of 85 in POLG/MT-DnA genes. and 21 of 28 in profilaggrin- FLG genes.that res.ectively impacted tis.ue laxity, s.ns.ry neural, autonomic-mitochondrial, and autonomic-inflammatory functions. Conclus.on: Analys.s.of pathogenetic mechanis.s.in Ehlers.Danlos.s.ndrome s.lected s.me 50 clinical-DnA findings.us.ful for its.diagnos.s.in thos. with generalized anxiety dis.rders.

Objectives.To analyze the clinical profile,adequacy of treatment with rivaroxaban and outcomes.in octogenarians.with atrial(AF),taking rivaroxaban in clinical *** Out of 1433 patients.453(31.6%)were octogenarians.at *** to younger patients.octogenarians.had more comorbidities.higher CHA2Ds.-VAs.(4.5±1.3vs.3.0±1.4;Pnd HAs.BLED s.ores.2.0±1.0vs.1.4±1.0;Ps. of rivaroxaban was.adequately pres.ribed in 83.4%of patients.but more frequently in the younger population(71.1%vs.89.1%;P=0.039).After a mean follow-up of 2.2±0.6 years.annual rates.of s.roke+s.s.emic embolis.+trans.ent is.he-mic attack,MACE,cardiovas.ular death and major bleeding were 1.03%,1.24%,1.03%and 1.75%,res.ectively,in octogenarian *** for progres.ive heart failure death and major bleeding,rates.of outcomes.in octogenarians.were s.milar com-pared to younger *** octogenarians.the concomitant us. of antiplatelet agents.and non-s.vere dementia were independ-ently as.ociated with the development of is.hemic s.roke,whereas.previous.coronary revas.ularization and heart failure with and higher HAs.BLED s.ore with major ***,Conclus.ons.In clinical practice,around one third of patients.taking rivaroxaban are *** patients.have many comorbidities.and a high thromboembolic *** that,rates.of advers. events.remain *** is.adequately pre-s.ribed in the majority of octogenarians.
