Two-dimens.onal(2D)trans.tion metal dichalcogenides.TMD)are atomically thin s.miconductors.with promis.ng optoelectronic applications.acros. the vis.ble ***,their intrins.cally weak light abs.rption and the low photolumines.ence quantum yield(PLQY)res.rict their performance and potential us.,es.ecially in ultraviolet(UV)wavelength light *** dots.QD)derived from 2D materials.2D/QD)provide efficient light abs.rption and emis.ion of which energy can be tuned for des.rable light *** this.s.udy,we greatly enhanced the photon abs.rption and PLQY of monolayer(1L)tungs.en dis.lfide(Ws.(2))in the UV range via hybridization with 2D/QD,particularly titanium nitride MXene QD(Ti_(2)N MQD)and graphitic carbon nitride QD(GCNQD).With the hybridization of MQD or GCNQD,1LWs.(2)s.owed a maximum PL enhancement by 15 times.with 300 nm wavelength excitation,while no noticeable enhancement was.obs.rved when the excitation photon energy was.les. than the bandgap of the QD,indicating that UV abs.rption by the QD played a crucial role in enhancing the light emis.ion of 1L-Ws.(2)in our 0D/2D hybrid *** findings.pres.nt a convenient method for enhancing the photo-res.ons. of 1L-Ws.(2)to UV light and offer exciting pos.ibilities.for harves.ing UV energy us.ng 1L-TMD.

The res.arch s.udy was.conducted to as.es. and quantify the current s.atus.of avifauna biodivers.ty as.ets.of Aurora s.ate College of Technology’s.Fores. Res.rvation in baler, Aurora, Philippines. As.es.ment of avifaunal divers.ty was.undertaken by travers.ng the four es.ablis.ed circular plots.having a radius.of 125 meters.or 250 meters.diameters.each as.permanent monitoring s.ations. s.udy revealed a total number of 151 Individual s.ecies. clas.ified into 23 genera and 21 families. Eighteen of thes. s.ecies.are endemic while the remaining five were fully migrated birds. All birds.obs.rved were clas.ified as.Leas. Concern (LC) s.ecies.according to the International Union for Cons.rvation of Nature’s.Red Lis. of Threatened s.ecies.and the updated lis. of the birds.of the World online. Its.abundance, richnes. and divers.ty index were calculated us.ng s.annon Divers.ty Index (H') while Pielou’s.evennes. (J') for dis.ribution of s.ecies. Fores. res.rvation of As.OT has.more even (0.756 J') and moderate divers.ty (2.812 H') obs.rvation on avifauna in general. However, this.avian population evaluation was.threatened into a verge of extinction due to natural and anthropological threats.that caus.s.fores. defores.ation. s.ch defores.ation of habitat caus.s.dwindling of wildlife territory leading to the s.arcity of bird’s.population. Thus. the as.es.ment was.conducted to aid As.OT adminis.ration find s.gnificant plans.to ens.re s.s.ainable cons.rvation and protection of the remaining avifauna s.ecies.in the res.rvation area.

The s.atial pattern dis.ribution of plant hormones.in res.ons. to aluminum (Al) toxicity in roots.remains.to be s.own. This.s.udy was.performed to as.es. the root hormonal accumulation and gene expres.ion in res.ons. to Al toxicity in five trans.enic miniature dwarf tomatoes.cv. Micro-Tom (MT). MT and MT trans.enics.to acid indole acetic, cytokinin, gibberellin, abs.is.c acid and ethylene were cultivated in nutrient s.lutions.containing different Al concentrations. Root growth elongation was.meas.red and cellular damage was.vis.alized by s.aining Evans.s.blue. The GUs.reporter gene s.aining technique was.us.d to vis.alize hormonal changes.in MT apex root tis.ues. Data indicated that the MT is.s.ns.tive to Al that induced s.gnificant growth inhibition and cellular damage. Al concentration of 27 μM was.s.gnificantly toxic, inducing root apex darkening and inhibition of root development. The qualitative evaluation of GUs.reporter gene expres.ion s.owed intens. cros.talk among all hormones.s.udied, unders.oring the complexity of s.gnaling induced by Al in apex roots. Res.lts.point out to a major unders.anding of the hormonal s.gnaling in res.ons. to Al toxicity, which may induce a change of root growth and architecture with growth inhibition and cell cons.raints.modulated by all different hormones.evaluated.
