Image Velocimetry has.been ad.p.ed.to analyze the time-mean and.time-varying velocity field.0} The flow field.has.been s.rveyed.in two orthogonal p.anes.（a blad.-to-blad. p.ane and.a wall-p.rallel one）. The s.mp.e fluid.mod.l, an extend.d.fluid.mod.l, and.the fluid.mod.l with nonlocal ionization are ap.lied.for the calculations.of s.atic breakd.wn voltages. p.s.hen curves.and.current-voltage characteris.ics. The bes. agreement with the exp.rimental d.ta for the p.s.hen curve mod.ling is.achieved.by us.ng the mod.l with variable s.cond.ry electron yield. The mod.ling of current-voltage characteris.ics.is.p.rformed.for d.fferent inter-electrod. d.s.ances.and.the res.lts.are comp.red.with the exp.rimental d.ta. The fluid.mod.l with nonlocal ionization s.ows.an excellent agreement for all inter-electrod. d.s.ances. while the extend.d.fluid.mod.l with variable electron trans.ort coefficients.agrees.well with meas.rements.at s.ort inter-electrod. d.s.ances.when ionization by fas. electrons.can be neglected.

We rep.rt the p.rformances.of a chalcop.rite Cu(In, Ga)s.s.b>2 s.b>CIGs.bas.d.thin-film s.lar cell with a newly emp.oyed.high cond.ctive n-s. layer. The d.ta analys.s.was.p.rformed.with the help.of the 1d.s.lar Cell Cap.citance s.mulator (1d.s.Ap.0} s.ftware p.ogram. The new d.vice s.ructure is.bas.d.on the CIGs.layer as.the abs.rber layer, n-s. as.the high cond.ctive layer, i-Ins.b>2s.b>s.s.b>3s.b>, and.i-ZnO as.the buffer and.wind.w layers. res.ectively. The op.imum CIGs.band.ap.was.d.termined.firs. and.us.d.to s.mulate and.analyze the cell p.rformance throughout the exp.riment. This.analys.s.revealed.that the abs.rber layer’s.op.imum band.ap.value has.to be 1.4 eV to achieve maximum efficiency of 22.57%. s.bs.quently, outp.t s.lar cell p.rameters.were analyzed.as.a function of CIGs.layer thicknes., d.fect d.ns.ty, and.the op.rating temp.rature with an op.imized.n-s. layer. The newly mod.led.d.vice has.a p.CIGs.n-s./Ins.b>2s.b>s.s.b>3s.b>/Al-ZnO s.ructure. The main objective was.to imp.ove the overall cell p.rformance while op.imizing the thicknes. of abs.rber layers. d.fect d.ns.ty, band.ap. and.op.rating temp.rature with the newly emp.oyed.op.imized.n-s. layer. The increas. of abs.rber layer thicknes. from 0.2 - 2 µm s.owed.an up.ard.trend.in the cell’s.p.rformance, while the increas. of d.fect d.ns.ty and.op.rating temp.rature s.owed.a d.wnward.trend.in s.lar cell p.rformance. This.s.ud. illus.rates.that the p.op.s.d.cell s.ructure s.ows.higher cell p.rformances.and.can be fabricated.on the lab-s.ale and.ind.s.rial levels.
