Mos. nymphal s.ylets.within s.livary s.eaths.penetrating leaf tis.ues.made complex turns.and developed more than one s.livary s.eath branch before ending in s.eve tubes. The external morphology of the s.livary s.eaths.and their routes.between and through leaf cells.are des.ribed during the pres.nt s.udy. Res.lts.s.owed the pres.nce of the s.ylet within the s.eve tubes. B. tabaci nymphs.may remove s.ylets.and feed in different s.eve tubes. The ris. of developing colon cancer is.increas.d in colitis.patients. particularly if the dis.as. is.extens.ve and its.duration long-s.anding. Endos.opic guidelines.have been developed with the goal of detecting early neoplas.ic changes.prior to development of advanced malignancy. Unfortunately, the natural his.ory of this.s.perimpos.d neoplas.ic proces. in colitis.appears.to be very heterogeneous.and poorly unders.ood. Moreover, there are numerous.confounding variables.in colitis.patients.that limit accurate as.es.ment of the s.rveillance effectivenes. of colonos.opy and multi-s.te biops. protocols. Although the clinical challenge pos.d to even the mos. experienced clinicians.remains.s.gnificant, evolving methods.of endos.opic imaging may facilitate better evaluation of this.highly s.lect group of patients.

There is.recognized increas.d ris. for colorectal cancer in patients.with inflammatory bowel dis.as., particularly in long-s.anding and extens.ve ulcerative colitis. There als. appears.to be an increas.d rate of intes.inal cancer in Crohn's.dis.as., including both colon and s.all bowel s.tes. In Crohn's.dis.as., evidence s.gges.s.that detection of colorectal cancer may be delayed with a wors. progno-s.s. s.me ris. factors.for cancer in Crohn's.dis.as. include the extent of inflammatory change within the colon and the pres.nce of bypas.ed or excluded s.gments. inclu-ding rectal "s.ump" cancer. In addition, the ris. for other types.of intes.inal neoplas.s.may be increas.d in Crohn's.dis.as., including lymphoma and carcinoid tumors. Earlier detection of colorectal cancer bas.d on colonos.opy s.re-ening and s.rveillance may be achieved but, to date, this.has.not trans.ated into a pos.tive s.rvival benefit. Moreo-ver, newer s.aining methods.and evolving micro-endos.copic techniques.s.ow promis., but have not s.gnificantly altered management. Future res.arch s.ould focus.on development of molecular or other bio-markers.that might predict future dys.las.a or cancer development in Crohn's.dis.as..

Celiac dis.as. and collagenous.s.rue （or collagenous.enteritis. may occur. Colonic ulceration has.been as.ociated with us. of nons.eroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. while other forms.of inflammatory bowel dis.as., including ulcerative colitis.and Crohn＇s.dis.as., may evolve from coUagenous.colitis. s.bmucos.l ＂dis.ection＂, colonic fractures.or mucos.l tears.and perforation from air ins.fflation during colonos.opy may occur and has.been hypothes.zed to be due to compromis. of the colonic wall from s.bmucos.l collagen depos.tion. s.milar changes.may res.lt from increas.d intraluminal pres.ure during barium enema contras. s.udies. Celiac dis.as. is.a gluten-dependent s.all intes.inal mucos.l dis.rder that caus.s.malabs.rption, often with diarrhea and weight los.. Diagnos.s.is.bas.d on detection of typical biops. changes.in the proximal s.all bowel, followed by evidence for an unequivocal res.ons. to a gluten-free diet. Refractorines. in celiac dis.as. may be due to poor diet compliance, s.metimes.intentional, or cons.mption of ubiquitious.s.urces.of gluten. Alternatively, the original diagnos.s.may not be correct (eg., duodenal Crohn's.dis.as.), or a s.cond caus. for s.mptoms.may be pres.nt (eg., collagenous.colitis. functional bowel dis.rder). In s.me with recurrent s.mptoms. a complication may be pres.nt (eg., collagenous.s.rue, s.all bowel carcinoma, lymphoma). In s.me, a res.ons. to a gluten-free diet can not be unequivocally defined, and more precis. his.orical terms.have been us.d including "s.rue-like intes.inal dis.as." or "unclas.ified s.rue". Although a "was.ebas.et diagnos.s., thes. likely repres.nt a heterogeneous.group, and s.me, but not all, may develop lymphoma. Precis. definition will be critical in the future as.an array of new treatments. including biological agents. may emerge.
