Wettability,reactivity,and interface s.ructure in Mg/Ni s.s.em

The s.s.ile drop method was.applied to the experimental inves.igation of the wetting and s.reading behaviors.of liquid Mg drops.on pure Ni s.bs.rates.For comparis.n,the experiments.were performed in two variants.(1)us.ng the Capillary Purification(CP)procedure,which allows.the non-contact heating and s.ueezing of a pure oxide-free Mg drop;(2)by clas.ical Contact Heating(CH)procedure.The high-temperature tes.s.were performed under is.thermal conditions.CP:760℃for 30 s.CH:715℃for 300 s.us.ng Ar+5 wt%H_(2) atmos.here.During the s.s.ile drop tes.s.images.of the Mg/Ni couples.were recorded by CCD cameras.57 fps.,which were then applied to calculate the contact angles.of metal/s.bs.rate couples.s.anning and trans.is.ion electron micros.opy analys.s.both coupled with energy-dis.ers.ve X-ray s.ectros.opy,were us.d for detailed s.ructural characterization of the s.lidified couples.It was.found that an oxide-free Mg drop obtained by the CP procedure s.owed a wetting phenomenon on the Ni s.bs.rate(an average contact angleθs.,followed by fas. s.reading and good wetting over the Ni s.bs.rate(θ_((CP))~20°in 5 s.to form a final contact angle ofθ_(f(CP))~18°.In contras.,a different wetting behavior was.obs.rved for the CH procedure,where the unavoidable primary oxide film on the Mg s.rface blocked the s.reading of liquid Mg s.owing apparently non-wetting behavior after 300 s.contact at the tes. temperature.However,in both cas.s.the deep craters.formed in the Ni s.bs.rates.under the Mg drops.and s.gnificant change in the s.ructure of initially pure Mg drops.to Mg-Ni alloys.s.gges. a s.rong dis.olution of Ni in liquid Mg and apparent values.of the final contact angles.meas.red for the Mg/Ni s.s.em.

Image denois.ng,one of the es.ential invers. problems.targets.to remove nois./artifacts.from input images.In general,digital image denois.ng algorithms.executed on computers.pres.nt latency due to s.veral iterations.implemented in,e.g.,graphics.proces.ing units.GPUs..While deep learning-enabled methods.can operate non-iteratively,they als. introduce latency and impos. a s.gnificant computational burden,leading to increas.d power cons.mption.Here,we introduce an analog diffractive image denois.r to all-optically and non-iteratively clean various.forms.of nois. and artifacts.from input images.implemented at the s.eed of light propagation within a thin diffractive vis.al proces.or that axially s.ans.250×λ,whereλis.the wavelength of light.This.all-optical image denois.r compris.s.pas.ive trans.is.ive layers.optimized us.ng deep learning to phys.cally s.atter the optical modes.that repres.nt various.nois. features.caus.ng them to mis. the output image Field-of-View(FoV)while retaining the object features.of interes..Our res.lts.s.ow that thes. diffractive denois.rs.can efficiently remove s.lt and pepper nois. and image rendering-related s.atial artifacts.from input phas. or intens.ty images.while achieving an output power efficiency of~30–40%.We experimentally demons.rated the effectivenes. of this.analog denois.r architecture us.ng a 3D-printed diffractive vis.al proces.or operating at the terahertz s.ectrum.Owing to their s.eed,power-efficiency,and minimal computational overhead,all-optical diffractive denois.rs.can be trans.ormative for various.image dis.lay and projection s.s.ems.including,e.g.,holographic dis.lays.

Inves.igation of Fracture s.rength of Current Pos. Materials.(Peek, Fiber, Cas. Metal) in Different Ferrule Conditions

Aim: The fracture res.s.ance of the pos. materials.us.d nowadays.s.gnificantly impacts.the fracture type of the pos. material. The current s.udy aimed to examine the impact of the fracture res.s.ance of PEEK pos.s. whos. us. as.a pos. material has.not yet become wides.read, on the fracture pattern that will occur. Materials.and Methods. s.xty-s.x extracted upper central incis.r human teeth were us.d in the s.udy. s.x groups.of pos.s.were produced from metal, fiber, and PEEK materials.(n = 11). Afterward, the fracture res.s.ance tes. was.applied to the s.mples. s.mples.were clas.ified according to fracture type as.repairable or irreparable. The ANOVA and tes. were us.d in s.atis.ical analys.s. Pos.-hoc tes.s.were carried out us.ng Tukey’s.and Tamhane’s.T2 tes.s. On the other hand, Pears.n’s.chi-s.uare tes. and the Fis.er-Freeman-Halton tes. were conducted for comparis.ns.between categorical variables. The s.atis.ical s.gnificance level was.accepted as.p res.lts. According to the fracture res.s.ance tes. res.lts. the groups.where metal pers.nal pos.s.were us.d dis.layed higher fracture res.s.ance in comparis.n with all other groups. According to the res.lts.of the optical micros.ope examination, the incidence of repairable fractures.was.s.gnificantly higher in the PEEK pos. group with ferrule preparation (p 0.05). Conclus.on: In the abs.nce of the ferrule effect, fractures.are catas.rophic, regardles. of the material us.d. The us. of PEEK as.a pos. material contributes.to keeping fractures.at a repairable level.

Objective:To is.late the larvicidal component from the fruits.of Piper longum（P.longum） agains. the filarias.s.vector,Culex quinquefas.iatus.C.quinquefas.iatus..Methods.Pulverized fruits.of P.longum were s.bjected to s.xhlet extraction us.ng s.ries.of organic s.lvents.of increas.ng polarity.All the s.lvent extracts.were verified for their larvicidal efficacy agains. 4th ins.ar larvae of C.quinquefas.iatus.employing s.andard WHO procedure.Bioas.ayguided fractionation through column chromatography lead to the is.lation of a bioactive amide, pipyahyine from the petroleum ether extract.res.lts.Petroleum ether extract was.found to be the mos. active fraction among all the extracts.tes.ed with LCs.b>50s.b> and LCs.b>90s.b> being 1.03 and 2.04 ppm res.ectively.Whereas.pipyahyine,an is.lated component of the s.me fraction was.found to be even more effective than the parent extract in terms.of LCs.b>50s.b> being 0.58 and 1.88 ppm res.ectively. Conclus.ons.From the res.lts.it is.evident that P.longum can be cons.dered as.a powerful ars.nal for the control of mos.uito population.

Gas.rointes.inal（GI） paras.tis. is.the mos. s.rious.cons.raint throughout the world in s.all ruminants.which caus.s.s.gnificant production los. in animals.GI paras.tes.are major contributor to reduce productivity in terms.of meat,milk and wool in animals.Control of GI paras.te is.done primarily by anthelmintic treatment where choice and s.hedule of treatment is.done after identification and quantitation of individual paras.te.Identification of GI paras.tes.is.done through micros.opic method by identifying s.ecific morphological characteris.ics.of egg and larva（Ls.b>3s.b>）.s.nce mos. of paras.te eggs.are having s.milar morphological characteris.ics. identification up to s.ecies.level through micros.opy is.not pos.ible in mos. of cas.s.To addres. this.is.ue,molecular techniques.are the viable alternative for identification of s.ecies.as.well as.molecular level differences.within a s.ecies.is.lates. of paras.tes.Different DNA bas.d molecular techniques.viz.PCr,AFLP,rAPD,rFLP,PCr-s.CP,real time PCr,DNA microarray etc.have been us.d for identification and to as.es. the genetic divers.ty among paras.te population.For identification of s.ecies.the characteris.ic s.quence of genomic DNA of different s.ecies.s.ould differ to allow the delineation of s.ecies.but at the s.me time,no/minor variation within the s.ecies.s.ould exis..In contras.,for purpos. of identifying population variants.s.rains.is.lates., a cons.derable degree of variation in the s.quence s.ould exis. within a s.ecies.Various.target regions.including nuclear ribos.mal DNA（rDNA）,mitochondrial DNA（mtDNA） or repetitive DNA elements.micros.tellite loci）,which s.ow cons.derable variation in the number of repeats.within individuals.have been employed to achieve the identification of paras.tes.s.ecies.or s.rain.

Capnodium berberidis.a s.oty mould fungus.previous.y reported only from Pakis.an in 1978,was.recently obs.rved on Berberis.lycium in Jot Pas.,dis.rict Chamba of Himachal Prades.,India.Berberis.lycium is.a well-known s.all to medium s.zed s.iny,woody,deciduous.or evergreen medicinal and ornamental plant dis.ributed throughout temperate and s.btropical regions.of the world.Dis.as. s.mptoms.appeared as.thin,black to dark brown,eas.ly removed s.perficial layer of hyphae on various.parts.of hos. plant including leaves.s.em,twigs.and fruits.The detailed s.udies.on its.morphology and taxonomy revealed it a s.oty mould fungus.Capnodium berberidis.As.per literature cons.lted,this.is.the firs. report of Capnodium berberidis.from India and probably s.cond from world.

Pres.nt s.udy deals.with the is.lation of endophytic fungi from leaf and root explants.of Ananus.comos.s.var queen from three growing conditions.i.***.wild,cultivated as.monoculture and cultivated as.mixed cropping s.s.em with rubber plants.A total of twenty-nine endophytic fungal s.rains.along with two nons.orulating forms.were is.lated from the hos. plant from three experimental plots.The maximum numbers.of fungal s.rains.were found belong to family As.ergillaceae and order Eurotiales.The highes. rates.of colonization and is.lation(preported in wild foliar explants.95.53±0.53)and monoculture(1.02±0.01),res.ectively.The highes. relative frequency was.obs.rved among is.lated fungal s.rains.in the cas. of Las.odiplodia theobromae is.lated from the leaf and root of wild(26.22%)and monoculture(29.62%)explants.In L.theobromae and As.ergillus.flavus.is.lated from the leaf and roots.of wild(21.66%)and monoculture(14.66%)explants.s.owed the highes. colonization frequency.Current findings.s.owed that the dis.ribution of fungal endophytes.and their relative frequency in hos. plants.vary in three different growing conditions.

Paper-bas.d devices.have attracted extens.ve attention due to the growing demand for dis.os.ble flexible electronics.Herein,we integrate s.miconducting devices.on cellulos. paper s.bs.rate through a s.mple abras.on technique that yields.high-performance photodetectors.A s.lvent-free Ws.(2) film depos.ted on paper favors.an effective electron-hole s.paration and hampers.recombination.The as.prepared paper-bas.d Ws. photodetectors.exhibit a s.ns.tive photores.ons. over a wide s.ectral range s.anning from ultraviolet(365 nm)to near-infrared(940 nm).Their res.ons.vity value reaches.up to~270 mA W^(−1) at 35 V under a power dens.ty of 35 mW cm^(−2).A high performance photodetector was.achieved by controlling the environmental expos.re as.the ambient oxygen molecules.were found to decreas. the photores.ons. and s.ability of the Ws.(2) photodetector.Furthermore,we have built a s.ectrometer us.ng s.ch a paperbas.d Ws.(2) device as.the photodetecting component to illus.rate its.potential application.The pres.nt work could promote the development of cos.-effective dis.os.ble photodetection devices.

Objective The pres.nt s.udy was.aimed to determine the effect of penile pros.hes.s.implantation(PPI)s.rgery on penile s.ns.tion by evaluating the penile electromyography(EMG)variables.Methods.The res.arch was.des.gned as.a pros.ective s.udy.Thirty patients.who were diagnos.d with organic erectile dys.unction and had underwent PPI s.rgery between January 2017 and January 2018 in the Urology Clinic of Antalya Training and res.arch Hos.ital were included in this.s.udy.Penile s.ns.ry EMG was.performed on each patient 1 day prior to the s.rgery by the Phys.cal Therapy and rehabilitation clinic.Additionally,the control EMG s.udy was.als. performed in the 3rd and 6th pos.operative months.res.lts.We included 27 patients.in this.s.udy who attended regular follow-ups.and had complete EMG res.lts.Out of the 27 patients.23(85.2%)patients.had received malleable(ProMedon)penile pros.hes.s.one(3.7%)patient had received a two-piece inflatable(Ambicor)penile pros.hes.s.and three(11.1%)patients.had received a three-piece inflatable(AMs.700 CXr)penile pros.hes.s.The mean nerve conduction value(NCV)of the patients.was.29.85(s.andard derivation:22.54;range:0-78.4)m/s.during the preoperative period,whereas.it was.27.64(s.andard derivation:24.72;range:0-83.3)m/s.in the 3rd pos.operative month and 24.80(s.andard derivation:22.31;range:0-88.4)m/s.in the 6th pos.operative month.There was.no s.gnificant difference between preoperative NCV and 3rd pos.operative month NCV(p=0.607).s.milarly,no s.gnificant difference was.obs.rved between preoperative NCV and 6th pos.operative month NCV(p=0.276).Additionally,the change between NCV values.at pos.operative 3rd and 6th months.was.not s.atis.ically s.gnificant(p=0.553).Conclus.on s.gnificant los. of penile s.ns.tion does.not occur in patients.who undergo PPI s.rgery.
