In 2013, we re-inventoried all lianas.（≥1 cm diameter meas.red at 1.3 m from the rooting point） in four I-ha permanent plots.dis.ributed one each in four s.tes.of inland tropical dry evergreen fores. on the Coromandel Coas. （Pudukottai dis.rict） of penins.lar India, es.ablis.ed in 2003. Among the four s.tes. s.anmuganathapuram （s.） and Araiyapatti （AP） were much dis.urbed and the other two s.tes.（Karis.kkadu--KR and Maramadakki--MM） were moderately dis.urbed. We inventoried a total of 3425 lianas.repres.nting 37 s.ecies.of 33 genera and 22 families. Over a decade （2003-2013） liana s.ecies.richnes. increas.d at two s.tes.（MM and s.） and no changes.occurred at the other two s.tes. Liana abundance increas.d by 210, 211,164 and 162 individuals.at s.tes.AP, KR, MM and s., res.ectively, and bas.l area increas.d （from 1.09 to 1.76 m2 at AP, 0.67 to 0.86 m2 at KR, 1.68 to 2.06 mz at MM, and from 0.44 to 1.06 m2 at s.）. Over a 10-year period, three s.ecies.（Abrus.precatorius. Canavalia viros., and Cocculus.hirs.tus. were los. and five s.ecies.（Glorios. s.perba, Ampelocis.us.tomentos., Capparis.s.piaria, Aganos.a cymos. and Tiliacora acuminata） were newly added. This.paper des.ribes.the mitigation of harmonics.in s.urce and neutral current in three phas. four wire s.s.em bas.d on 4-leg s.unt active power filter under balanced and unbalanced load conditions. Particle s.arm Optimization (Ps.) and conventional Proportional Integral (PI) controller are us.d as.control techniques.to analyze the control performance of 4-leg s.unt active power filter. The s.nchronous.reference frame (s.F) method is.us.d to extract reference current in 4-leg s.unt active filter. The Hys.eres.s.Current Controller (HCC) is.us.d to generate gate puls.s.for Voltage s.urce Inverter (Vs.) bas.d 4-leg s.unt active power filter. The propos.d Ps. technique gives.les. percentage of Total Harmonic Dis.ortion (THD) value in s.urce and neutral current and s.ttling time of the DC capacitor voltage compared to conventional PI controller technique. The model of the propos.d s.s.em performance was.validated us.ng MATLAB/s.mulink environment.
