This study describes methods for predicting and classifying voltage-gated ion channels. Firstly, a standard support vector machine （sVM） method was developed for predicting ion channels by using amino acid composition and dipeptide composition, with an accuracy of 82.89% and 85.56%, respectively. The accuracy of this sVM method was improved from 85.56% to 89.11% when combined with PsIBLAsT similarity search. Then we developed an sVM method for classifying ion channels （potassium, sodium, calcium, and chloride） by using dipeptide composition and achieved an overall accuracy of 96.89%. We further achieved a classification accuracy of 97.78% by using a hybrid method that combines dipeptidebased sVM and hidden Markov model methods. A web server VGIchan has been developed for predicting and classifying voltage-gated ion channels using the above approaches. VGIchan is freely available at ***/raghava/vgichan/.

There is rising incidence and prevalence of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) in India topping the southeast Asian(sEA) countries. The common genes implicated in disease pathogenesis in the West are not causal in Indian patients and the role of "hygiene hypothesis" is unclear. There appears to be a North-south divide with more ulcerative colitis(UC) in north and Crohn's disease(CD) in south India. IBD in second generation Indian migrants to the West takes the early onset and more severe form of the West whereas it retains the nature of its country of origin in migrants to sEA countries. The clinical presentation is much like other sEA countries(similar age and sex profile, low positive family history and effect of smoking, roughly similar disease location, use of aminosalicylates for CD, low use of biologics and similar surgical rates) with some differences(higher incidence of inflammatory CD, lower perianal disease, higher use of aminosalicylates and azathioprine and lower current use of corticosteroids). UC presents more with extensive disease not paralleled in severity clinically or histologically, follows benign course with easy medical control and low incidence of fulminant disease, cancer, complications, and surgery. UC related colorectal cancer develop in an unpredictable manner with respect to disease duration and site questioning the validity of strict screening protocol. About a third of CD patients get antituberculosis drugs and a significant number presents with small intestinal bleed which is predominantly afflicted by aggressive inflammation. Biomarkers have inadequate diagnostic sensitivity and specificity for both. Pediatric IBD tends to be more severe than adult. Population based studies are needed to address the lacunae in epidemiology and definition of etiological factors. This paper investigates automatic generation control(AGC)of a realistic hybrid four-control area system with a dis-tinct arrangement of thermal units,gas units and additional power generation.A proportional-integral-double deriva-tive cascaded with proportional-integral(PIDD-PI)controller is employed as secondary controller in each control area for robust restructured AGC considering bilateral transactions and contract *** Harris Hawks algorithm is used to determine the optimal controller gains and system parameters under several *** vehicle(EV)aggregators are employed in each area to participate fully along with thermal and gas units to compensate for the unscheduled system demand in the local area.A comparison of non-cascaded controllers such as PI-PD,PD-PID and the proposed PIDD-PI proves the superiority of the *** effect of the decline in inertia is closely examined because of the sudden outage of a generating unit while at the same time considering the change in area frequency response characteristics and area control *** fleets make significant contributions to improving the system dynamics dur-ing system inertia *** use of EVs in the presence of a wind energy-supported grid can provide a stable efficacy to the power *** simulations with higher load demands,stochastic communication delays in presence of the WTG plant,and violations in system loadings and changes in gas turbine time constants in the absence of WTG demonstrate the robustness of the proposed control approach.

A device,that is used for biomedical operation or safety-critical applications like point-of-care health asssment,massive parallel DNA analysis,automated drug discovery,air-quality monitoring and food-safety testing,must have the attributes like relia bility,dependability and *** the biochips are used for these purposes;therefore,these devices must be fault free all the *** before usi ng these chips,they must be well *** are proposing a novel technique that can detect mutiple fults,locate the fault positions within the biochip,as well as calculate the traversal time if the biochip is fault *** proposed technique also highlights a new idea how to select the appropriate base node or pseudo source(start electrode).The main idea of the proposed technique is to form multiple loops with the neighboring electrode arrays and then test each loop by traversing test droplet to check whether there is any *** a fault is detected then the propoed technique also locates it by backtracking the test *** case,no fault is detected,the biochip is fault free then the proposed technique also calculates the time to traverse the *** result suggests that the proposed technique is eficient and shows significant improvement to ca lculate fault-free biochip traversal time over existing method.

Background The serotonin transporter(sERT),encoded by the solute carrier family 6 number 4(sLC6A4)gene,controls serotonin(5-HT)availability and is essential for the regulation of behavioral *** sLC6A4 genetic variants,5-HTTLPR and sTin2,were widely investigated in patients with various neurobehavioral disorders,including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD).Methods We analyzed the association of the 5-HTTLPR(L/s)and sTin2(10/12)variants,plasma 5-HT,and 5-hydroxyindole acetic acid(5-HIAA),as well as sERT messenger RNA(mRNA)with ADHD in the eastern Indian *** families with ADHD probands(n=274)and ethnically matched controls(n=367)were recruited following the Diagnostic and statistical Manual of Mental *** traits,executive function,and intelligence quotient(IQ)of the probands were assessed using the Conner's Parent Rating scale–Revised,Parental Account of Children’s symptoms(PACs),Barkley Deficit in Executive Functioning—Child and Adolescent scale,and Wechsler Intelligence scale for Children-III,*** obtaining informed written consent,peripheral blood was collected to analyze genetic variants,plasma 5-HT,5-HIAA,and sERT mRNA *** ADHD probands showed a higher frequency of the 5-HTTLPR“L”allele and“L/L”genotype(PsERT mRNA *** for behavioral problems and hyperactivity were higher in the presence of the“s”allele and“s/s”genotype,while executive deficit was higher in the presence of the“L”*** score was lower in the presence of the sTin2“12”allele and L-12 *** Data obtained indicate a significant association of the serotoninergic system with ADHD,warranting further in-depth investigation.

The higher concentration of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) in the lower atmosphere is severely harmful for human health and it also makes visibility diminution along with weather and climate *** main objective is to find out the spatiotemporal variation and dispersal of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) along with COVID-19 infection in the dusty city *** consecutive two years PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) data of different stations have been obtained from state Pollution Control Board,*** West *** trajectory analysis has been done through HYsPLIT(Hybrid single Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory)model to find the path and direction of air *** result showed that the various meteorological or environmental factors(such as temperature,relative humidity,wind,wind speed,pressure and gusty wind)and geographical location regulate the spatiotemporal variation of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5).These factors like high temperature with relative humidity and strong wind influence to disperse the particulate matters from north to south direction from city to outside during summer in Kolkata metropolitan *** summer(both pre and lockdown years),the height of particles is extended up to 1000 m owing to active atmospheric ventilation whereas in winter it is confined within 100 *** HYsPLIT model clearly specified that the particles dispersed from south,south-west to north and north east direction due to strong *** constant magnification of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) in the lower atmosphere leads to greater frequency of COVID-19 infections and *** Kolkata,the one of the crucial reasons of high infection and deaths(COVID-19)is co-morbidity of people.

Nano storage-boxes constructed by the vertical growth of Mos_(2 )on graphene for high-performance Li-s batteries

In order to accelerate the reaction kinetics of lithium-sulfur batteries, the introduction of electro catalysis and proper structural control of the sulfur cathode is urgently needed. Mos_(2) nano sheets was selectively grown vertically (V-Mos_(2)) on the microwave-reduced graphene (rGO) sheets through chemical coupling to construct a self-supporting sulfur cathode with a nano storage-box structure (V-Mos_(2) as the wall and rGO as the bottom). RGO, which has a high conductivity of 37 s cm^(−1), greatly accelerates the transfer of electrons from the active sites on the edge of the layer to the solution. The introduction of carbon tubes can connect the abundant pores in the foam and act as a long-range conductive path. The 2D-orthogonal-2D structure maximally exposes the edge active sites of Mos_(2), and together with graphene form a nano reactor of sulfur, intermediate lithium polysulfides and discharge product Li_(2)s(2). The effective combination of the microstructure confinement of the nano storage-boxes and the efficient synchronous catalytic mechanism of V-Mos_(2) greatly improves the electrochemical performance of the lithium-sulfur batteries. As a result, the assembled lithium-sulfur battery displays a high initial discharge capacity of 1379 mAh g^(−1), good cycle stability (86% capacity retention after 500 cycles at 0.1C) and superior rate performance.

In this work,we have introduced an eco-epidemiological model of an infected predator prey *** of prey refuge gives that a fraction of the infected prey is available to the predator for ***,to make the model more realistic to the environment,we have introduced strong Allee effect in the susceptible *** and positivity of the solution have been *** stability conditions of the equilibrium points have been found with the help of Routh-Hurwitz criterion and it has been observed that if a prey population is infected with a lethal disease,then both the prey(susceptible and infected)and predator cannot survive simultaneously in the system for any parametric *** disease transmission rate and the attack rate on the susceptible have an important role to control the system *** different values of these two key parameters,we have got only healthy or disease-free or predation-free or a fluctuating disease-free or even a fluctuating predator-free system with some certain parametric conditions.
