Classification of ice and water in the Arctic using radar altimeter and microwave radiometer data from HY-2B satellite

Several Chinese marine satellites have been launched in recent years.Monitoring sea ice and the ocean in the Arctic is of great importance for climate research.Sea ice in the Arctic has changed rapidly during the past few decades with respect to the extent and thickness.In this study,we applied combined passive and active microwave data from the Chinese HaiYang-2B(HY-2B)satellite to classify ice and sea water in the Arctic.We use data from a radar altimeter(RA)and a calibration microwave radiometer(CMR)to discriminate between ice and water by applying several approaches(1)the single parameter threshold criteria,(2)the multi-parameters linear segmentations and(3)the K-means clustering.The results yielded by these methods were in good agreement(classification accuracy>95%)with the Satellite Application Facility on Ocean and Sea Ice products between November and April.For other months(May–October),however,the agreement was less good(lowest classification accuracy approximate 85%in summer).A hybrid approach combined with graphical ice edges detection and microwave radar waveform analysis is therefore developed.A visual comparison with SAR images suggested the hybrid approach results greatly improved the ice and water discrimination in summer.This study demonstrated that multi-sensors(RA and CMR)configurations from HY satellites can offer comparable polar earth observation to the European Space Agency and NOAA satellite products.

Air-sea interaction usually affects the distribution of precipitation during typhoon period, but whether typhoon precipitation distribution is affected by ocean eddies is still unclear. In this study, based on a multi-source satellite database, reanalysis data and in-situ data were used to study the precipitation characteristics of Typhoon Lekima (2019) as well as its physical causes. The results showed that the precipitation of Lekima presents an asymmetric structure, exhibiting heavier precipitation on the left side of the typhoon path before 7 August, and with the typhoon strengthened, precipitation was evenly distributed around the typhoon center. The typhoon cloud system, characteristics of the typhoon, and ocean factors could be responsible for the asymmetric structure of precipitation during the typhoon period. The change in the typhoon cloud system during the typhoon influenced the distribution of precipitation. And there have been some oceanic processes that influenced the distribution of precipitation. Anticyclonic eddies and thick mixing level depths (MLDs) play important roles in typhoon precipitation. The anticyclonic eddies with thick MLD exist to reduce the mixing of the upper ocean to maintain the SST. Therefore, the SST and air-sea exchange can be sustained to influence typhoon precipitation. This study provides a new understanding of the impact of ocean processes on typhoon precipitation distribution.

Prognostic value of the long noncoding RNA AFAP1-AS1 in cancers

Objective This meta-analysis explored whether the expression of actin filament-associated protein 1 antisense RNA 1(AFAP1-AS1)is related to the prognosis and clinicopathological features of patients with cancer.Methods PubMed,EMBASE,and Cochrane Library were systematically searched.Hazard ratios(HRs)with 95%confidence intervals(CIs)were used to assess the prognostic value based on overall survival(OS),disease-free survival(DFS),and progression-free survival(PFS).Odds ratios(ORs)with 95%CIs were used to determine the relationships between AFAP1-AS1 and clinicopathological features,such as large tumor size(LTS),high tumor stage(HTS),poor histological grade(PHG),lymph node metastasis(LNM),and distant metastasis(DM).Results Thirty-five eligible articles and 3433 cases were analyzed.High AFAP1-AS1 expression,compared to low AFAP1-AS1 expression,correlated with significantly shorter OS(HR=2.15,95%CI=1.97-2.34,P<0.001),DFS(HR=1.37,95%CI=1.19-1.57,P<0.001),and PFS(HR=1.97,95%CI=1.56-2.50,P<0.001)in patients with cancer.In various cancers,elevated AFAP1-AS1 expression was significantly associated with LTS(OR=2.76,95%CI=2.16-3.53,P<0.001),HTS(OR=2.23,95%CI=1.83-2.71,P<0.001),and PHG(OR=1.39,95%CI=1.08-1.79,P=0.01)but not LNM(OR=1.59,95%CI=0.88-2.85,P=0.12)or DM(OR=1.81,95%CI=0.90-3.66,P=0.10).Conclusion High AFAP1-AS1 expression was associated with prognostic and clinicopathological features,suggesting that AFAP1-AS1 is a prognostic biomarker for human cancers.

目的探讨β连环素缺失结直肠癌的临床病理学表现及分子特征。方法收集2012年1月至2022年11月解放军第九六〇医院诊断为结直肠癌且β连环素丢失表达的病例标本11例,分析其临床、病理和分子改变。结果11例病例中,男性3例,女性8例;年龄43~74岁,中位年龄59岁;左半结肠6例,右半结肠5例;有淋巴结转移1例,无淋巴结转移10例;高~中分化腺癌10例,黏液腺癌1例;TNM分期T4期8例,T1期2例,Tis期1例。肿瘤细胞免疫组织化学染色均不表达β连环素。Sanger测序显示CTNNB1基因第3号外显子存在片段缺失突变,导致蛋白缺失表达。结论β连环素缺失结直肠癌是一类少见的亚群,可能与CTNNB1基因第3号外显子突变相关。

以伯胺和烯胺为原料,采用复合法制备高效复合型CO_(2)捕集剂,通过FT-IR、离子分析初步判断捕集剂与CO_(2)反应前后药剂变化。并通过优化工艺参数,明确最佳捕集剂浓度、反应温度、组分配比、烟气浓度。最佳工艺条件为:高效复合型捕集剂浓度30%、进气浓度20%、反应温度30℃,此时捕集效率达到99%以上,有效捕集时间达到300 min,高温再生后可实现捕集剂循环使用。

Li-S batteries(LSBs)have been considering as new and promising energy storage systems because of the high theoretical energy density and low price.Nevertheless,their practical application is inhibited by several factors,including poor electrical conductivity of electrode materials,greatly volumetric variation,as well as the polysulfide formation upon the cycling.To address these problems,it is imperative to develop and design effective and suitable sulfur host anode materials.Metal organic frameworks(MOFs)-based cathode materials,possessing their good conductivity and easy morphology design,have been extensively studied and exhibited enormously potential in LSBs.In this review,a comprehensive overview of MOFs-based sulfur host materials is provided,including their electrochemical reaction mechanisms,related evaluation parameters,and their performances used in LSBs in the past few years.In particular,the recent advances using in-situ characterization technologies for investigating the electrochemical reaction mechanism in LSBs are presented and highlighted.Additionally,the challenges and prospects associated with future research on MOF-related sulfur host materials are discussed.It is anticipated to offer the guidance for the identification of suitable MOFs-based sulfur cathode materials for high-performance LSBs,thereby contributing for the achievement of a sustainable and renewable society.

目的探讨乳腺癌组织中糖皮质激素受体(GR)的表达及临床意义。方法选取2021年7月至2023年6月于中国人民解放军联勤保障部队第九六〇医院行手术治疗的140例女性乳腺癌石蜡标本,采用免疫组化方法检测乳腺癌组织及癌旁组织中GR的表达,并应用χ^(2)检验、Fisher精确概率法以及Kruskal-Wallis秩和检验分析其与临床病理特征以及不同分子分型的关系。结果乳腺癌组织中GR蛋白阳性率高于癌旁组织阳性率(P2 cm患者GR阳性率高于肿瘤直径≤2 cm患者,差异均有统计学意义(P0.05)。结论GR在乳腺癌组织中高表达,并与多种临床病理特征存在相关性,提示GR可能是一个潜在的乳腺癌进展预判指标和治疗的新靶点。

Bifurcation of Pacific North Equatorial Current at the surface

The grid altimetry data between 1993 and 2006 near the Philippines were analyzed by the method of Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF) to study the variation of bifurcation of the North Equatorial Current at the surface of the Pacific. The relatively short-term signals with periods of about 6 months, 4 months, 3 months and 2 months are found besides seasonal and interannual variations mentioned in previous studies. Local wind stress curl plays an important role in controlling variation of bifurcation latitude except in the interannual timescale. The bifurcation latitude is about 13.3°N in annual mean state and it lies at the northernmost position (14.0°N) in January, at the southernmost position (12.5°N) in July. The amplitude of variation of bifurcation latitude in a year is 1.5°, which can mainly be explained as the contributions of the signals with periods of about 1 year (1.2°) and 0.5 year (0.3°).

目的探讨胃底腺来源肿瘤包括胃泌酸腺腺瘤(OGA)和胃底腺型腺癌(GA-FG)的临床病理特征。方法收集2019年2月至2022年4月解放军联勤保障部队第九六〇医院诊断的10例胃底腺来源肿瘤患者资料, 分析其临床资料、内镜特征、病理形态特征、免疫组织化学结果、治疗及预后情况。结果全组男性4例, 女性6例, 年龄43~70岁。肿瘤主要位于胃底、胃体, 病变以浅表隆起型(Ⅱa型)多见, 累及黏膜层4例, 浸润黏膜下层6例。突触素弥漫中~强阳性表达, cyclin D1蛋白表达明显增加, 为20%~60%。结论 OGA和GA-FG可能是同一谱系的独特胃肿瘤, 具有相似的组织学结构特征、免疫组织化学染色特点及分子生物学表现, OGA可视为GA-FG的黏膜内阶段。cyclin D1、突触素蛋白检测能辅助胃底腺来源肿瘤诊断。
