Attaining synergetic equilibrium of electrical conductivity and tensile strength in GQDs@GN/Cu composites through multi-scale intragranular and intergranular reinforcements

The configuration and quality of reinforcements, as well as the robustness of interfacial bonding,holding a critical significance in determining the concurrence between electrical conductivity and mechanical strength in metal matrix composites. In this study, citric acid was employed as the precursor for synthesizing multiscale carbon nanomaterials(graphene quantum dots and graphene, abbreviated as GQDs and GN). The GQDs@GN/Cu composites were fabricated through a segmented ball milling process in conjunction with subsequent spark plasma sintering(SPS). The intragranular GQDs and intergranular GQDs@GN had synergistically reinforced Cu composites through Orowan strengthening, load transfer strengthening and refinement strengthening. Furthermore,the robust interface bonding between GQDs@GN and Cu effectively mitigated interfacial impedance stemming from electron-boundary scattering. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the GQDs@GN/Cu composites were recorded as 270 and 314 MPa, respectively, representing an improvement of 92 and 28% over pure Cu, while maintaining electrical conductivity at a level comparable to that of pure Cu. This study advances the understanding of the possibility of realizing a synergistic compatibility between electrical conductivity and mechanical strength in Cu composites.

In the present work,a new transient calculation method for parameters that can be used to evaluate the ability of oxygen control in a non-isothermal lead-bismuth eutectic(LBE)loop with solid-phase oxygen control was *** incorporates the dissolution process of PbO particles and the oxygen mass transfer process,and an optimized method was used for finding out the optimized oxygen mass transfer *** numerical terms,three mass transfer models were simultaneously applied,and comparisons of calculated and experimental results from the CRAFT loop indicated that the optimized calculation method and these new oxygen mass transfer models were correct and applicable to other LBE *** this calculation method,we aimed to optimize prediction of the distribution of oxygen and iron concentrations,time taken to establish the steady state of oxygen,and maximum dissolution/precipitation rates of corrosion products and corrosion depth across the entire LBE *** hope that this work will provide a potential reference for designing a more intelligent oxygen control system in the future.

Effects of exercise by type and duration on quality of life in patients with digestive system cancers:A systematic review and network meta-analysis

Background:There is scant evidence regarding the effects of exercise type and duration on quality of life(QoL)in digestive system cancer(DSC)*** aim to investigate the optimal type and duration of exercise to improve QoL for DSC survivors through a systematic review and network ***:A systematic literature search of PubMed,Embase,and Web of Science was *** for study inclusion was limited to studies that were randomized controlled trials involving all kinds of exercise in adult patients with DSCs,and the comparator was in standard care or other types of *** primary outcome was QoL,including general health,physical health,mental health,and role *** outcomes included cancer-related symptoms such as fatigue,insomnia,depression,anxiety,and duration of hospital *** network meta-analyses were performed using a random-effect ***:The analysis included 32 eligible articles and a total of 2558 *** primary outcome indicated that short-term aerobic exercise significantly enhanced general health(standardized mean difference(SMD)=0.66,95%credible intervals(Crls):0.05 to 1.30),and also contributed to a better mental health(SMD=0.38,95%CrI:-0.05 to 0.81)and role function(SMD=0.48,95%CrI:-0.27 to 1.20).Although without significant changes,short-term resistance exercise tended to increase the physical health of patients with DSCs(SM=0.69,95%CrI:-0.07 to 1.50)and effective in alleviating fatigue(SMD=-0.77,95%CrI:-1.50 to 0.01).Short-term aerobic exercise was related to a lower score of insomnia(SMD=-1.20,95%CrI:-2.40 to 0.06),depression(SMD=-0.51,95%CrI:-1.50 to 0.45),and anxiety(SMD=-0.45,95%CrI:-1.30 to 0.34).All types of exercise related to a trend of declined hospital stays(-0.87 to-5.00 day).Long-term resistance exercise,however,was negatively associated with general health(SMD=-0.33,95%CrI:-1.70 to 1.00),physical health(SMD=-0.18,95%CrI:-1.30to 0.90),and role function(SMD=-1.20,95%CrI:

Prediction of peritoneal free cancer cells in gastric cancer patients by golden-angle radial sampling dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging

Objectiveperitoneal free cancer cells can negatively impact disease progression and patient outcomes in gastric cancer. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of using golden-angle radial sampling dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (GRASP DCE-MRI) to predict the presence of peritoneal free cancer cells in gastric cancer *** enrolled patients were consecutively divided into analysis and validation groups. Preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and perfusion were performed in patients with gastric cancer undergoing surgery, and peritoneal lavage specimens were collected for examination. Based on the peritoneal lavage cytology (PLC) results, patients were divided into negative and positive lavage fluid groups. The data collected included clinical and MR information. A nomogram prediction model was constructed to predict the positive rate of peritoneal lavage fluid, and the validity of the model was verified based on data from the verification *** was no statistical difference between the proportion of PLC-positive cases predicted by GRASP DCE-MR and the actual PLC test. MR tumor stage, tumor thickness, and perfusion parameter Tofts-Ketty model volume transfer constant (Ktrans) were independent predictors of positive peritoneal lavage fluid. The nomogram model featured a concordance index (C-index) of 0.785 and 0.742 for the modeling and validation groups, *** DCE-MR could effectively predict peritoneal free cancer cells in gastric cancer patients. The nomogram model constructed using these predictors may help clinicians to better predict the risk of peritoneal free cancer cells being present in gastric cancer patients.

Resistance genes mediate differential resistance to pine defensive substances α-Pinene and H_(2)O_(2) in Bursaphelenchus xylophilus with different levels of virulence

The pine wood nematode(PWN),Bursaphelenchus xylophilus(Steiner & Buhrer) Nickle,is the pathogen of pine wilt disease(PWD) which can devastate *** can be of hi gh or low severity and the mechanisms underlying the differences in virulence are ***,it is necessary to study the relationship between differentiation of PWN severity and its resistance to the main defensive substances of pine species(i.e.,α-pinene and H_(2)O_(2)).The feeding rate and fecundity of PWN was examined at different levels of virulence under conditions of a-pinene and H_(2)O_(2) ***,the expression patterns of the main resistance genes of PWN with different virulence were determined under conditions of α-pinene and H_(2)O_(2) *** feeding rate and fecundity of the high virulence strain AMA3 were higher than those of the low virulence strain *** expression levels of the autophagy gene BxATG5,cytochrome P450 gene BxCYP33 D3,and glutathione S-transferase genes BxGST1 and BxGST3 in AMA3 increased significantly upon exposure to α-pinene for 2 h,while these genes showed smaller degrees of upregulation in *** conditions of H_(2)O_(2) stress,the expression levels of BxATG5,catalase genes Bxy-ctl-1 and Bxy-ctl-2,and the 2-cysteine peroxiredoxin gene BxPrx in AMA3 were higher than those in *** findings suggest that high virulence PWN has greater resistance to pine defensive substances α-pinene and H_(2)O_(2) than low virulence PWN,and resistance genes mediate the differential resistance of PWN *** study will contribute to the clarification of the mechanism underlying virulence differentiation of PWN and will advance understanding of the pathogenic mechanism of PWD.

Wheat FHB resistance assessment using hyperspectral feature band image fusion and deep learning

The breeding and selection of resistant varieties is an effective way to minimize wheat Fusarium head blight(FHB)hazards,so it is important to identify and evaluate resistant *** traditional resistance phenotype identification is still largely dependent on time-consuming manual *** this paper,the method for evaluating FHB resistance in wheat ears was optimized based on the fusion feature wavelength images of the hyperspectral imaging system and the Faster R-CNN *** spectral data from 400-1000 nm were preprocessed by the multiple scattering correction(MSC)*** feature wavelengths(553 nm,682 nm and 714 nm)were selected by analyzing the X-loading weights(XLW)according to the absolute value of the peaks and troughs in different principal component(PC)load coefficient ***,the different fusion methods of the three feature wavelengths were explored with different weight *** R-CNN was trained on the fusion and RGB datasets with VGG16,AlexNet,ZFNet,and ResNet-50 networks ***,the other detection models SSD,YOLOv5,YOLOv7,CenterNet,and RetinaNet were used to compare with the Faster R-CNN *** a result,the Faster R-CNN with VGG16 was best with the mAP(mean Average Precision)ranged from 97.7%to 98.8%.The model showed the best performance for the Fusion Image-1 ***,the Faster R-CNN model with VGG16 achieved an average detection accuracy of 99.00%,which was 23.89%,1.21%,0.75%,0.62%,and 8.46%higher than SSD,YOLOv5,YOLOv7,CenterNet,and RetinaNet ***,it was demonstrated that the Faster R-CNN model based on the hyperspectral feature image fusion dataset proposed in this paper was feasible for rapid evaluation of wheat FHB *** study provided an important detection method for ensuring wheat food security.

为研究超高性能混凝土(UHPC)与高强钢筋的黏结性能,设计并制作69个试件,通过拔出试验研究UHPC强度、纤维体积率、纤维尺寸形状、保护层厚度、黏结长度、加载方式和黏结段位置对黏结性能的影响。结果表明:试件的主要破坏形态包括拔出破坏、钢筋拉断和劈裂破坏,高强钢筋与UHPC界面的黏结强度随UHPC抗压强度、纤维体积率和长径比以及保护层厚度的增加而增大;纤维的掺入对高强钢筋与UHPC黏结强度提高作用明显;当纤维体积率从1%增长至3%,长径比从35增加到100时,黏结强度分别提高了23%和16%;但纤维形状的变化对黏结强度没有明显影响;黏结强度随着UHPC抗压强度和保护层厚度的增大而显著增加,随着黏结长度增大而降低,当保护层厚度超过4倍钢筋直径时,增幅基本不变;当黏结段位于加载端时,受拉拔出加载试件黏结强度仅为受压加载的77%,黏结段越靠近试件中部,加载方式对黏结强度影响越小。基于试验结果,确定临界锚固长度计算式,提出高强钢筋与UHPC的黏结强度计算式,同时建立黏结应力-滑移本构关系模型。通过试验结果及公式计算结果对比可得,现有的普通混凝土黏结强度公式低估了高强钢筋与UHPC的黏结强度,建议的简化公式预测结果与试验结果吻合良好。
