A comparative study of digital low dropout regulators

Granular power management in a power-efficient system on a chip(SoC)requires multiple integrated voltage regulators with a small area,process scalability,and low supply *** on-chip analog low-dropout regulators(ALDOs)can hardly meet these requirements,while digital LDOs(DLDOs)are good ***,the conventional DLDO,with synchronous control,has inherently slow transient response limited by the power-speed ***,it has a poor power supply rejection(pSR),because the fully turned-on power switches in DLDO are vulnerable to power supply *** this comparative study on DLDOs,first,we compare the pros and cons between ALDO and DLDO in ***,we summarize the recent DLDO advanced techniques for fast transient response and pSR ***,we discuss the design trends and possible directions of DLDO.

This article overviews the design considerations and state-of-the-art of the ring voltage-controlled oscillator(VCO)-based phase-locked loops(pLLs)for clock generation in different ***-ularly,the objective of the current work is to evaluate the required pLL performance among the fundamental metrics of power,jitter and *** in-depth treatment of the mainstream pLL architectures and the associated design techniques enables them to be compared analyt-ically and benchmarked with respect to their figure-of-merit(FoM).The paper also summarizes the key concerns on the selection of dif-ferent circuit techniques to optimize the clock performance under dif-ferent scenarios.

Despite the precise controllability of droplet samples in digital microfluidic(DMF)systems,their capability in isolating single cells for long-time culture is still limited:typically,only a few cells can be captured on an *** fabricating small-sized hydrophilic micropatches on an electrode aids single-cell capture,the actuation voltage for droplet transportation has to be significantly raised,resulting in a shorter lifetime for the DMF chip and a larger risk of damaging the *** this work,a DMF system with 3D microstructures engineered on-chip is proposed to form semi-closed micro-wells for efficient single-cell isolation and long-time *** optimum results showed that approximately 20%of the micro-wells over a 30×30 array were occupied by isolated single *** addition,low-evaporation-temperature oil and surfactant aided the system in achieving a low droplet actuation voltage of 36V,which was 4 times lower than the typical 150 V,minimizing the potential damage to the cells in the droplets and to the DMF *** exemplify the technological advances,drug sensitivity tests were run in our DMF system to investigate the cell response of breast cancer cells(MDA-MB-231)and breast normal cells(MCF-10A)to a widely used chemotherapeutic drug,Cisplatin(Cis).The results on-chip were consistent with those screened in conventional 96-well *** novel,simple and robust single-cell trapping method has great potential in biological research at the single cell level.

Several tasks related to geographical information retrieval and to the geographical information sciences involve toponym matching,that is,the problem of matching place names that share a common *** this article,we present the results of a wide-ranging evaluation on the performance of different string similarity metrics over the toponym matching *** also report on experiments involving the usage of supervised machine learning for combining multiple similarity metrics,which has the natural advantage of avoiding the manual tuning of similarity *** with a very large dataset show that the performance differences for the individual similarity metrics are relatively small,and that carefully tuning the similarity threshold is important for achieving good *** methods based on supervised machine learning,particularly when considering ensembles of decision trees,can achieve good results on this task,significantly outperforming the individual similarity metrics.

Serine/arginine-rich(SR)proteins are conserved splicing regulators that play important roles in plant stress responses,namely those mediated by the abscisic acid(ABA)*** Arabidopsis thaliana SR-like protein SR45 is a described negative regulator of the ABA pathway during early seedling *** the inhibition of growth by ABA signaling is counteracted to maintain plant development under stress conditions remains largely ***,we show that SR45 overexpression reduces Arabidopsis sensitivity to ABA during early seedling *** and confocal microscopy analyses of transgenic plants expressing fluorescently tagged SR45 revealed that exposure to ABA dephosphorylates the protein at multiple amino acid residues and leads to its accumulation,due to SR45 stabilization via reduced ubiquitination and proteasomal *** phosphomutant and phosphomimetic transgenic Arabidopsis lines,we demonstrate the functional relevance of ABA-mediated dephosphorylation of a single SR45 residue,T264,in antagonizing SR45 ubiquitination and degradation to promote its function as a repressor of seedling ABA *** results reveal a mechanism that negatively autoregulates ABA signaling and allows early plant growth under stress via posttranslational control of the SR45 splicing factor.

The structural and functional description of protein-protein complexes and their comprehension is a key concept,not only to increase the scientific knowledge in basic terms but also for the application to the biomedical and pharmaceutical *** binding association between proteins is nowadays attribute to a few key residues at the interface–the *** complex between the RNase inhibitor(RI)and RNaseA protein provides an excellent system to study the role of the functional epitope as it is essential in various molecular recognition processes and constitute one of the tightest complexes *** energetic pattern of the interface is accomplished by computational alanine scanning mutagenesis and a dynamical characterization is accomplished by a detailed study of the molecular dynamical simulations.A special emphasis is given to the role of solvation across the interface and the shielding of warm-and hot-spots from water.

通过简短介绍自由射流对岩石河床的冲刷问题以后,笔者叙述了试验研究的基本特性,详细说明了试验情况,并给出了处理成果的准则。依据所获得的表达式,使估计冲刷坑的三维几何尺寸(其最大深度、长度和宽度)成为可能。这种冲刷坑系由实际未扩散的射流在无粘结力的块体河床上形成的。排水条件,特别是河床宽度与射流宽度的比值,以及块体形状与其间隙对冲刷的影响均未考虑。笔者根据试验研究还作出一些关于冲刷坑(它的对称性、最深处的位置、坡角)和淤砂形状的补充结论。文中介绍了与本课题关系较密切的参考资料,同时介绍了文献中能与本研究成果相结合的一些成果。把导出最大冲刷深度的表达式应用于两个原型冲刷实例。
